Explanation:
How to use this macro:
All you need to do to throw a bomb now is play the recorded
macro. This will cause the bomb to be thrown at your Last
Target. CAUTION: You must of
course actually have a last target set or your poor character
won't know where to throw it. His/her indecision will invariably
end up having the bomb blow up in your own face.
How do you make sure your last target is "set"?
Simply target something with an open cursor (: You can do
this by casting a spell then targeting an item. Alternatively
you could double click something like a dagger and then
target with that cursor.
Set up a UOA Key to play your macro:
You'll really only truly get the full benefit of this macro
if you have it set up to work with a key press. In order to
make this happen you have one final step in UOA:
Step 1:
Press the "Keys" button as shown above
Step 2:
Scroll down until you find the "Play Macro #"
where you recorded your bomb macro.
Step 3:
Click the box under "Hotkey:" and press the key
you'd like to have set up to play your bomb macro.
Step 4:
That's it. (: All you'll need to do now is click the key
you have mapped whenever you want to start your bomb macro.
Don't click it twice however or you'll tell uoa to stop
playing the macro.
Conceptualizing the Macro:
The macro you've just created conceptually is very simple.
All it's doing is holding off on throwing the "ticking
potion" as long as possible. By doing so, when you
throw it at the last second it explodes almost immediately
and therefore gives the intended victim little time to run
away.
The Delay (Define your risk/reward factor):
By editing the 3400ms delay, you are able to define just
how long you want to hold onto that bomb before tossing
it. If you've got a great connection, fast computer system,
and like to pvp, you might want to hold onto the potion
as long as possible. Timed perfectly and used with skill,
the bomb will hit your opponent every single time. If you're
more interested in pvm, it might be less important to time
the explosion throws so critically to hit the monsters who
move less randomly. As no two computer systems or individual
desires are exactly identical, you'll have to play with
this delay a little to figure out what works best for you.
Why wouldn't you want to have it timed perfectly
every time?
Well, you would actually (: However, the closer you are
to tossing that bomb, the greater the risk you'll run into
that it will explode in your hands and damage yourself.
All it takes is a little bit of packet loss, or a sporadic
internet ping to throw off your macros timing. The less
space you have in there for error, the more likely you'll
be burning your own hands.
