"Free me of only half this affliction and I shall be a complete man. You must think of me as being as happy as it is possible to be on this earth-not unhappy. No! I cannot endure it. I will seize fate by the throat. It will not wholly conquer me! Oh, how beautiful it is to live and live a thousand times over." -Beethoven

I Shall

(From the Wedding of Damion to Willowind) Hearken ye angels of heaven
Take heed all who call me a friend
As I make declarations eternal
Of My vows to the fair Willowind

I shall love thee with love that is patient
I shall love thee with love that is kind
I shall love thee with love that is stronger than death
I shall love thee with heart, soul and mind

I shall love thee as gift from creator
And cherish thy life as my own
With this mystical rite within all people's sight
I would know thee as I would be known

I shall uphold thy spirit in sorrow
When the darkness of night grips thy heart
I shall stand by thy side against every tide
With a love that will never depart

Should our world end tomorrow in ashes
And the stars melt like slag from a fire
I'll embrace thee my dear as the end rushes near
And in thine arms I'll calmly expire

For Death hath no power o'er passion
And perfection of love casts out fear
I am thine Willowind in a love without end
Come what may I shall always be here

-Damion, Master Bardic Knight
