"Free me of only half this affliction and I shall be a complete man. You must think of me as being as happy as it is possible to be on this earth-not unhappy. No! I cannot endure it. I will seize fate by the throat. It will not wholly conquer me! Oh, how beautiful it is to live and live a thousand times over." -Beethoven

The Dandy

Tis said there was a Noble
Who didst pass the time of day
In drinking ale and telling tale
Of dragons he wouldst slay

But Barack was no warrior
he never learned to fight
Adorned in yellow silks and lace
And scarlet ribbons bright

How he envied those who couldst
Wield axe or sword or bow
But he content in merriment
No valor couldst he show

There came a day when Barak
Could contain his angst no more
He mounted horse, ( a mule of course)
His honor to secure

Such a sight this dandy knight
As he rode out of town
To purchase honor with his life
On Britain's battleground

His chosen weapon was a staff
Of Moonglows finest willow
His skill was such he mightst as well
Have slumbered on his pillow

He left fair Britain westward bound
To Crossroads perilous way
And scarcely left the mountain pass
No dragons wouldst he slay!

For Orc Lord met him on the road
And challenged him to death
He cringed in fear as Orc drew near
And drew his final breath

His willow staff didst shatter
On the Orc Lords mighty breast
He said a prayer and died right there
I need not tell the rest

She'd not a tear when thou pass near
The gravestone of this fellow
Be not dismayed art thou waylaid
By Orc Lord dressed in yellow

-Damion, Master Bardic Knight
