| Calandryll was born the son of an armorer. At an
early age his father taught him the skills of making the
metal tools of battle. Calandryll enjoyed crafting the
swords, but felt something was missing. One afternoon,
after he had just finished a long sword, a Paladin did
enter the forge. Asking Calandryll if he knew how to use
the weapon, Calandryll meekly replied no. What happened
next would change his life forever. The Paladin offered
to give young Calandryll lessons and in return Calandryll
promised to join the Trinsic guard. A few years passed and
Calandryll was finally old enough to join the Trinsic
guards. His application was accepted and Calandryll
flourished at the academy (now known as Paladins
Hall). After months of intense training, Calandryll
graduated and was inducted in to the guards. For a few
years, he did make a small name for himself, defending
the walled city from its enemies (both human and not).
But something was bothering him. His fellow guards were
acting very strangely.
Then on one fateful day
it happened. The second day that would again change his
life. Calandryll had just left Paladins hall and
began his walk to the magic shop where he was stationed.
As he arrived he saw a young beggar attempt to steal
bread from a warrior. Just as Calandryll was about to
apprehend the man, a guard teleported in front of him and
slew the man with one might strike. Calandryll looked in
horror as the guard then teleported away.
Calandryll quickly
rushed back to the hall to get some answers. The captain
was waiting for him. Calandryll was informed that the
guards had made a pact with a powerful ally and in return
gained their weapon and teleport ability. Calandryll
could sense the evil and refused to take part in it. At
this, the captain banned Calandryll from the hall and
Calandrylls name has since been tarnished. Even his
parents believe him to be evil.
Calandryll believes
that the guards and Lord British have made a pact with
demons. He is also against the notoriety system and does
everything in his power to show others its flaws. His
belief in the virtues is strong and he continues to do
his best help others whenever he can.
