Shane

Shane was born of a wealthy family in Vesper, though he has nothing except his name now. His parents disowned him when he became wanted. Shane did not intentionally become evil, but rather he was branded such by Lord British for attacking and killing two nobles. Shane claims it was self-defense. After being severely harrassed in town and eventually being kicked out entirely, Shane decided to live up to his reputation, turning his back upon the world. He still has a few friends from the city who have also grown sick of the warped justice system Britannia uses. They roam the countryside, killing any nobles they find, for they believe that nobles are the true evil. To an extent, Shane's magical training has warped his own sense of right and wrong, turning him into the self-justified murderer he has become. Shane is a very difficult person to get along with, as he trusts few and his arrogance is great. He enjoys playing with his victims instead of killing them outright. He can be seen frequently taunting residents of the cities from outside the guards' protection, and is quite insulting to those he does not know or know of. In his arrogance, he wishes to eventually overthrow Lord British himself and claim the throne. It is even rumored that an ancestor of Shane came from that same strange world that the King did, thus explaining his unusual last name...
