Warik
The Hunt Begins
One fine morning my assistant, Sauron, and I were travelling
to my new house in my new boat in order to "move in"
and put in some furniture. After placing the few chairs and
storage items that I had brought over, we began to depart.
"Hey you're Warik aren't you?" said a nearby
warrior.
"Aye, 'tis me." I replied.
"You stole Dexter's keys! Pkiller!" he yelled.
He moved himself into war mode and moved closer to me. I did
the only natural thing any rogue with novice fencing technique
would do against an Adept Swordsman at full health, I ran.
I hid about 20 feet from the pursuer behind a tree, I took the
opportunity to catch his first name, Morgan.
Although my assistant Sauron was not the intended target, he
hid right where he stood and waited for a chance to escape.
"I want Dexter's keys back, now." said Morgan.
"Nay, 'twould be foolish of me to return what I worked so
hard to acquire." I replied.
"You are a pkiller, I want his keys or I will kill
you."
"Thou'rt not doing a good job, perhaps ye should try
harder?"
He began to track me, which I knew because like most
"good" players, he would emote "*TRACKING*"
whenever he began to track. He soon found my hiding spot and was
right on top of me.
"Congratulations, thou hath found me. What doth thou plan
to do now?"
"He's over here guys, help me kill him!" he yelled.
Four other fighters hurried over soon after.
I was bored so decided to have a quick game of cat and mouse,
or should I say, cats and mouse.
I ran to another tree and hid behind it, they soon found me
and I ran in the direction I had come from. I had thought about
running into my house to take refuge, but decided that would be
foolish since I would then be trapped. I hid a few feet from the
house till I was found again.
"I grow tired of this friend, couldst we play another
game?" I said.
"He's over here!"
Apparently we could not play another game, I proceeded to run
again... only to find something quite unexpected. Actually, many
somethings unexpected. I believe the total count was about 15. 5
fighters Adept or above, 5 mediocre players on horseback, about 4
newbies, and of course their leader - Morgan.
They all jumped into war mode quickly, some managed to
initiate attack on me, the others simply tried. I was immediately
spammed with "<player> is attacking you!"
messages as I made my way toward saftey, shifting around and
dodging the hulking towers swinging large weapons of destruction
at me.
After finally reaching the safety of Trinsic, I realized one
thing - I had forgotten my boat which I used to travel there. I
quickly thought up an cruel scheme.
"Put these on." I said as I handed a black robe and
black cape to Sauron.
"uhhh what do i do?" he asked.
"You will walk up to our enemies and make them give
chase, while I retrieve the ship."
I followed Sauron up to the valley in which my house resided,
I soon saw Morgan yelling off the screen "Warik's
back!" I hid myself quickly and Sauron began to run west,
the fighters in close pursuit.
After having them chase him out of tracking range to me, he
hid and they noticed that they had been tricked. Unfortunetly for
them, I was halfway to the Trinsic docks on my boat, laughing
about our triumph.
