A little doll and a call from a GM...

Now, I seem to call or transfer calls to the GMs a lot. I probably do it more than I should, though often times I feel that the player who called me has a descent need for a GM and they phrased their message badly. I've seen Harassment: or Stuck: "HELP COME QUICK!" way too many times. A simple soultion to this and a way to keep the GM from transfering your call to the counselors is to give a good description of your problem.
For instance, I rescently had a player harassing the guild I am a part of. He and his guild would stand outside of our tower and yell obscenities at us or try to provoke us to kill them so we'd get murder counts or kill us when they were in large groups. On one such occasion, there was a lone one of these people. He began to use racial remarks, so I called a GM for Harassment saying "This player is using racial remarks against my guild." About 10 minutes later, the player had been banned. (Though I must admit, I get used to being able to see invisible GMs as a counselor and was suprised when I didn't see him as my normal character). The moral of the story: Make your calls to GMs and counselors descriptive of your problem. That way, we'll be able to help you better and sooner.

Now, on to a slightly amusing story I have about counseling. A few days ago, I was away from the keyboard, and whenever I do that, I go to Jail as to not make players in the Brit Guildhall think I'm ignoring them. Well, I was just getting there when a GM popped in and said "Hello Kang." I said hello back and told them to ignore me, I was afk. Well, he asked me to do him a favor, and I thought, "Wow! A GM asking *me* for a favor. The bathroom can wait!" So I proceded to ask him what he needed.
It turned out he needed me to verify something, making sure he wasn't going crazy or something like that. Then he asked me if I could follow him. Unfortunately, I couldn't unless he had called me and I had taken the call. So he called me. I then checked the que and saw there were 10 calls waiting in it. That would take a while to get through, so I asked him if there was a way he could drag me with him.
Well, aparently he could, it was just a lot of extra work. So he pulled me with him to the call and I got a message from him saying "Look to see if that player has a doll on him". I was baffled for a moment until someone said "Counselor! Do I have a little doll on my paper doll?" Well, I checked him and I didn't see anything. He had been told by several other players that he had a small doll looking thing growing out of his neck on his paper doll. He also couldn't equip any items, for some reason.
I told him I didn't see anything and the GM took him away to figure out what was wrong with his character and why some people were seeing a doll and others weren't. I thought that was the end of that.
Enter 10 calls later... I saw the GM's page was still in the counselor que. I took it, knowing I'd have to go there to clear it, but I was hoping I'd land in the place where GMs go when they aren't on a call. Well, it didn't turn out that way, as this particular GM likes to hang around in the place he landed after the call. So I was just in Brit...
But then the player will the "doll" on him comes along and I decided to ask him if he'd fixed the problem yet. He said yes, but that the GM told him he might need to reinstall UO to be able to equip things again. He had said that he never saw the doll, so he figured the others were just joking with him. He recalled away to log off and just as he did another player came up and said "WTF? What was that on that guy?" I asked, "Did you see the doll?" The player responded "Yeah, what was it?" I just laughed and said I didn't know. I never did find out what was up with the "doll" or if the guy ever got fixed. I just took my next call. :-)
