The Housing Call

Many people may very well be aware of the fact that we, as Counselors, get a great deal of calls in regards to housing. Whether it be in order to survey a plot of land or just to vent a little anger about the frustration of placing a home. Yet one call in regards to housing has stood out in my mind for quite a while. I was somewhat wary of posting here as it was rather on the edge for a while there, but this was an interesting call.
Someone by the name of Chantal had summoned me with a simple note about housing, and I was expecting that it would be in regards to placement. When I arrived I noticed a group of four people, which, from the seperation of them, looked like it was two sets of two people that were perhaps talking. After a bit of deliberation I discovered that they were working on a foolproof way to sell this house and transfer it without anyone being taken for their posessions. They wanted me to hold the money while they transferred it, but as many people know Counselors cannot hold anything. They wanted to test it anyway so I let them pass me a bottle of wine which promptly dropped to my feet. At this point there was a sigh among them, but just as quickly one came up with the idea that I should create another character to assist them with. I was somewhat wary of the entire idea, as it was quite unorthodox to say the least. After a bit of convincing they had me do it though, and I said I would meet them in the Nu'jelm Counselor guild hall where a character I had used previously to deliver a set of rings had been. I promptly logged off and switched characters, only to find out that I was in Moonglow! I quickly rushed to the bank and requested a gate to Nu'jelm which, miraculously enough, I got right away. The only problem was that once I got to Nu'jelm I was stuck on the bank roof, but once again I was saved by a kind player who helped me get back down. Once I got to the guild hall I met Chantal who took me to Yew where I held the money and we waited for the transfer of the home to be completed. Once the transfer was completed I passed on the money and the entire trade was completed successfully.
I was glad to have seen that it went off without any difficuly, but it was certainly one of the oddest requests I had ever had. The only thing I would not want to come from this is some sort of expectation that we would do this. I wouldn't want to get my brethren into such an expectation, while I'm sure they would be quite willing to do so. It's all about helping people in any way possible.
