Friday the 13th Pirate Invasion At Mystic Garden

We at Mystic Garden were very excited when we obtained the land to start our Pub & Cafe. It had been a dream of ours for years.

Our happiness soon faded..
Waking up that one morning to find the pirates was a nightmare I will never forget for as long as I shall live.

Upon rising I began to do my usual check of the shops and library buildings.. This is when I heard the noise. Looking out the library window I saw smoke rising from the chimney of 'The Blue Cow.'

That's not right, I thought. But perhaps Silvia decided to get an early start on the baking for today.

Running across the yard I quickly realized the smoke was hardly the biggest sign of distress inside the pub.

Loud voices and an awful smell were my first big sign. Peeking in the window I was horrified! There were men in my pub!

I missed the sound of boots coming as I sat wide eyed in shock and terror.
I let out a loud yelp as I was grabbed by the hair by a man the others were calling Captain.

He dragged me inside my own pub and threw me at a stool. From my position on the stool, I could see Silvia, our chef, sitting on the floor crying.

I could also see what had been done to my pub in what could have only been overnight. Garbage and broken furniture.. Bones of what I didnt know.. Nets dripping with salt water..

"YOU STOLE OUR LOOT!!!!" The man called Captain screamed in my face. "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE WITH IT!?"

My mouth gaped open like a dead fish. Loot? What was this man talking about? "OUR LOOT! Where is it!" Still closer down to my face.

I gagged as I caught the scent of the sour whiskey on his breath. For my insult, I was backhanded across my face.

From my new seat on the floor, I just stared up and could barely muster a low "What?"

"This land, Our loot was stored here. Our biggest heist, Our best jewels and riches. And now this... This building stands over where it should have been!"

Horror completely took me over. "But sir, I bought this land. I wasn't the one who started building here..."

"BUT YOU'RE HERE NOW!" The sickly sour whiskey scent hit me again. "So it is your problem now. We will not leave until we are given what belongs to us. IF we leave at all."

I watched as they tied Silvia up, wrapped rope around her wrists and ankles, then threw her back into her corner behind the cafe bar. I was given a scroll with what they believed I had taken from them, and their demands of me.

I was then carried outside and dropped roughly to the ground by the captains men. The captain standing just behind his men...

"You may not come back to this building, You may not have your precious Chef.. Until we are satisfied. If you do not return our belongings quickly.. Well you'll regret more then just losing your land and your chef."

The men went back inside, Laughing as I cried, Slammed the door of MY pub on me! The sounds of loud men and clinking glass resumed. I ran inside my shops and locked my office door.

Now was not the time to cry, Now was the time to find help!
I sat at my desk and penned a note...

Quote:

Kind citizens of Britannia,
I am in dire need of help!
Men that call themselves pirates have taken over one of my buildings at Mystic Garden.

I fear worse could happen in the future. These men say I've taken their belongings they buried long ago where my pub now stands.
I'm looking for a few kind souls to help me find and collect these items!
There will be a handsome reward to the first people to help!

Following a tour of the last home, participants returned to the Rewards Hall, teeth chattering and knees shaking. Each house proved uniquely terrifying – some, downright disturbing. Participants in the event, to include EMs Nestor and Eris, were astounded by Atlantic’s talented decorators. Nestor did express one regret, however . . .

Nester: No one died

Fortunately, Hunter Moon of HOT was willing to indulge Nestor’s increasingly-infamous blood-lust.

Once all of the participants had reassembled, EM Eris explained that the contest winner would be announced on Halloween, 31 October.

EM Eris further encouraged Atlantians to vote in the Stratics poll, posted by UO Atlantic Reporter Nh’bdy here.

“We’ll be watching that poll on the forums,” said EM Eris. “We want the winners to be the people’s choice.”

Truly showing that the Event Moderators are listening to the player base, Nestor trotted the shard out to a remote location, the first being near the Labyrinth in Malas, the other being Grimswind Ruins on the same facet, then promptly attempted to kill us. A fast paced high risk night of break neck pace Player Versus Monster combat. Multiple new creatures were sighted, mixed in with a myriad of old favorites. These extend into the [General] subtype and reached all the way to Shadow Lord Manifestations and climaxed with a Crimson Dragon on both nights! Fantastic event, but he may have to try a bit harder to crush the indomitable spirit of Atlantic.

Also, the remark was made "I should see about changing my name to EM Hydra."

Moonglow Governance Remains Strong Thanks to the Moonglow Town Council

Posted on Saturday, October 24, 2009, 5:08 PM EDT by Fallon Valor (Atlantic)
ATLANTIC—The magical Isle of Verity, home of the Lyceum, has long served as a hub for knowledge and learning. Yet, perhaps more importantly, the Isle is a mainstay of Atlantic history: the Atlantic mage Tower, one of Atlantic’s most renowned establishments, was once located here. Verity has seen many visitors over the years, but one guild has chosen to make the Isle its permanent home.

The Moonglow Town Council (MTC), based in the city of Moonglow, was founded to establish a government for the citizens of the Isle of Verity. When GreyPawn, a former Seer and a figure of legend on Atlantic, established the Council, his intent was to build a virtuous community, justly governed, who called Verity their home. The MTC is one of the first – and perhaps the most historic – player governments on Atlantic.

“A lot of guilds pretend to operate cities, and almost all of them claim to boast a family-like environment,” said GreyPawn. “Moonglow Town Council has done both since before doing so was trendy, and has actually made positive strides in advancing causes for the city itself.”

The MTC has promoted many changes to Moonglow over the years, some of which have resulted in lasting changes.

“The Moonglow Beautification Project was spearheaded by the MTC and resulted in the establishment of the statue garden in front of the bank,” GreyPawn said. “Personal initiatives by Mayors in the past have lead to the removal of hedges from fields, allowing cotton and wheat to be harvested along with vorpal bunny hunting. A current push is underway to restore the fallen Atlantic Mage Tower to the green area beside the tailor shop, or at minimum the Eternal Flame of Mages.”

Organized as a magocracy, the MTC is lead by a strong executive – namely, its mayor. The mayor appoints council members, who carry out the directives of the executive. Several of these council members also hold special positions, including the vice-mayor, chancellor, minister of defense, and minister of commerce. The key to MTC’s growth and success, according to GreyPawn, lies in its tradition of strong leadership.

“MTC has had a long line of impressive leaders serving the Council. Mayors such as Fong, Samon Triest, Cal Hurst, and Yasamin that took up the mantle of leadership contributed greatly to Moonglow’s growth as a city and as a guild.”

In addition to formal leadership, the MTC also has a vibrant aristocracy, as well as several “hero-level characters,” in GreyPawn’s words. Humanis and the Orcs are notable characters whose success, in many ways, stemmed from their early roles in the MTC.

Despite the MTC’s strength and permanence since its founding nearly ten years ago, the Council has also faced its share of challenges. As a functioning city government, one of the MTC’s primary focuses has been encouraging widespread participation.

“Inactivity has been the biggest challenge MTC has encountered in its history. Ensuring the survival and continuity of a functional Moonglow government in spite of the natural ebb and flow of activity has been at the top of our priorities,” said GreyPawn.

Over the past decade, Britannia has undergone innumerable changes: new places, new people, and new rules have forever altered how Atlantians conduct their virtual lives. In response to these changes, the MTC has evolved to ensure that it is always ready to meet the needs of its citizens.

“Originally, Moonglow Town Council was much more zealous with regards to the Virtues. Over its history, it has mellowed considerable and now is more accepting. Leadership methodology has also evolved over time, shifting toward a more democratic mindset rather than the Council’s magocratic roots,” GreyPawn said. “Another interesting note about the evolution of MTC would be the transition over time of the guild color. Originally a bright blue, ‘Moonglow Blue’ has gone through the gamut of being dark blue, special hue blue, and as of late a hue closer to valorite. MTC blue is considered the trademark color of the guild.”

The MTC relies heavily on the loyalty and virtue of its core membership. MTC’s motto is “semper veritas,” which is translated “always truth.” It is customary for MTC members to greet one another with this phrase. The MTC creed, according to GreyPawn, “is that Moonglow Endures, and we are sworn to continue to serve our shard and our city as best we can.

GreyPawn is a former Seer and the founder of the Moonglow Town Council.

Night of the Dead

A chilly autumn wind roared through the Moonglow Cemetery extinguishing my small lantern. At the aged iron gates I saw a solitary guard approaching. I knew I had been seen.

“I swear to you I am not a grave robber. I need help!” I blurted out awkwardly. The guard said nothing in reply. I knew why I would not be believed. My clothes were filthy with graveyard dust and I had a shovel in my hand. The silence of the guard did nothing to reassure me as he drew his blade.

“You’ve got to believe me sir, the undead are down there, hundreds of them. They are building a tunnel. Remember the ships! They are coming, can’t you hear them digging?”

The guard said nothing but he watched me silently through the slits of his plate helmet. He shambled closer and I could see that his hands were thick with decay; the fingers had rotted down to the bone. I turned to run but there were more approaching, I was surrounded.

Note:

The event will start on Saturday, October 24, 2009 at 8:00 PM EST. Search the island of Moonglow for clues and an entry into the tunnels. The entry way will be near where you find clues indicating recent undead activity. Certain individuals such as Inu and Selicus may also have clues. Please note that you cannot get into the tunnels until the event starts. The Night of the Dead event will continue on Sunday, October 25, 2009 at 8:30 PM EST.

The dying shard of Felucca bore witness to the most joyous occasion of matrimony on this day. Beset with killing, imps, chatter, and preemptive infidelity. The reporter was asked multiple times to ensure the public that this was [b]BY NO MEANS[b] done for items, assuring me that such a claim would be without reason and completely not at all true in the least bit. The bride went on to reassure me that if this wedding were an ocean that the rings would be as insignificant as a grain of sand annoyingly stuck in the eye lid of the smallest fish. After alerting her that not all fish have eye lids she attempted to stab me and lept a rail, fleeing into the night.

Luna Fairgrounds Winners Announced

Wednesday, 21 October 2009

Em Eris and Em Nestor are proud to announce the winner of the Luna Fairgrounds Design Contest; let's hear a round of applause for Buns of Glory! It was very difficult to select a winner because each of the entries was spectacular and unique.

After considerable deliberation it was decided that elements from the other entries will also be included in the completed fairgrounds. AtlanticVlad and Zym Dragon who also submitted designs will also receive a plaque. Below is a picture and description of Buns of Glory's design, please note that the final fairgrounds will include some changes and additions.

Buns of Glory's design

"As you walk outside Luna you come to a long fence that’s filled with fire, this I believe will make people curious to see what has changed. When you first come to the entrance you see two signs one on each side. They shall read Luna Fairgrounds.

When coming into the gate you get two huge flames. As you continue you come upon the Stables, which will be able to not only work as a fully functional stable but also as a new battle chicken lizard fighting pen as you can see there is two sides one for each chicken then when said 3,2,1 GO! The chickens can be told to attack.

I think this will be a terrific addition to the fairgrounds keeping new people and old coming to participate. If you choose to go the other direction you come to a nice fountain and places to sit with flowers and an overall wonderful spot to sit down and chat with friends. After that you continue up the road you can either go to the stage where you can play instruments or you can act out plays for friends, sing or do anything entertaining.

You can go to the card tent to play all sorts of games and drink! Friends can relax with playing chess, checkers any game that they like the most. As you go up the road you come to an archery tent, you can practice your long shot or your short shot with lots of arrows available but be careful not to shoot the arrows over the Luna walls or the guards will come!

As you continue up the road you see a beautiful pond where you can not only sit and enjoy the beauty as you talk with friends or tell stories of what you have kill! Have nothing to talk about? Perfect! Go down the road to the fish shack and pick up a pole and go fishing in the pond!

I've heard the best place to fish is off the bridge but you didn't hear it from me! If you get tired and it's too late to depart to your next hunt or location you can stay in the camp next to the fishing shack. There are sleeping bags for you, food and my favorite booze!

Tell campfire stories with your friends and have a wonderful time! I think that my design will offer multiple fun things to do! The tents should have roofs, however I wanted to show you what was in them. My park can be used for guild events, Role-playing events, EM event's whatever is needed it will be useful!"

Feluccan Merchant Suffers as Vesper Guards Remain M.I.A.

Posted on Saturday, October 17, 2009, 2:53 PM EDT by Fallon Valor (Atlantic)
>>> Felucca Facet News <<<ATLANTIC—The War of Shadows ushered an era of change in Britannia. Shadowlord invaders descended upon numerous townships, creating virtual war zones, most notably in the Felucca facet. Feluccan town guards, unequipped to defend against the Shadowlord armies, abandoned their posts, leaving local populations to fend for themselves until order could be restored. Most town guards returned following the defeat of the Shadowlords, but the Feluccan town of Vesper remains unguarded. As a result, one local business proprietor has seen his sales decline.

While a few long-time residents of Atlantic may remember Frank Bama for his thieving exploits, most know him as the owner and operator of Vesper’s longest-running, Felucca-based mini-mall. Although the establishment’s name has changed over the years, most players know it as the “Potions and More MiniMall” (88°57’N, 113°24’E).

“The current name, which will probably change now that I am thinking of it, is ‘Maverick and Tully Fel Vendor House In Guard Zone,’” said owner Frank Bama, who has been in the business for over a decade. “Maybe I should switch it to ‘Tully’s Risk Your Life for Cheap Goods Shop.’”

Since its foundation sometime prior to the release of The Age of Shadows, the “MiniMall” has been located within the Vesper guard zone. Frank Bama was not the house’s original owner – the establishment, originally called “LLTS Vesper Annex,” was placed prior to house ownership, when houses were claimed by whoever possessed the house key. Since insurance did not exist at the time, Frank Bama managed to steal the key and has owned the plot ever since.

“Never had anything in the house, but it was a nice house I would visit occasionally,” Bama said. “Anyway, long story even longer, the powers that be in Britannia decided to create house ownership, where one account owned the house and could change the front door lock. There were all kinds of rules to decide who had the most legitimate claim to a house. I had about five houses I claimed back then. I put a guildstone in this ‘Vesper Annex’ to increase my claim and my right to the house. I won.”

Soon after he successfully commandeered the “Annex,” Frank Bama stopped thieving and began selling goods at the location. He allowed his other five grandfathered plots lapse and focused his attention on building his new business. For many years, business was booming. The establishment’s location within the guard zone made customers feel safe. The guard zone aside, however, many other aspects made this vendor shop unique.

“Reasonable is an understatement when you compare my prices to [Luna prices],” Bama said. “The only other thing that makes my store different is occasionally you can see a red shopping there. Though, if they cause problems, they get banned for two months or so. Oh, and I can’t resize the house, either, because it is a grandfathered, improperly placed house.”

As long as the house was in the guard zone, blue and red players felt equally safe shopping at the establishment. When the War of Shadow turned Felucca-Vesper into a war zone, however, his business began to decline.

“At first, I couldn’t even recall into runes marked right outside my house,” Bama remembered. “I’d be booted to Jhelom with a system message saying something like, ‘You can’t recall there; you have been moved to safety.’”

None of his customers could recall to the “MiniMall,” either, until Ultima Online (UO) Lead Developer Tim “Draconi” Cotton learned of the problem and came to the rescue of the establishment. Sadly, with the absence of the Vesper town guards, Bama’s business has remained “slow and spotty,” according to Bama. Most players are too afraid to shop in Felucca. Presently, Bama’s primary customer base consists of more experienced players, who stop by the “MiniMall” for a sense of nostalgia.

“Paranoia strikes deep into the hearts of many UO players,” said Bama, “and people are just not willing to risk their lives, or insurance money, or stuff for cheap goods. Saw a guy shopping at my store the other day bare-bottomed. He says my deals are great, but he comes empty and naked with his detect hidden toon.”

Despite Bama’s recent decline in business, he maintains a positive outlook.

“I always liked being the underdog. I like living in Fel,” Bama said. “I will keep up word of mouth advertizing, probably mostly in my guild. Moving to another facet just isn’t my style.”

Bama is planning some adjustments to restore a sense of security to the “MiniMall.”

“I think I am going to set out my Crystal Portal on the first floor and set it so everyone can use it,” Bama said. “Then if someone tries to off you, they have to do it before your toon says, ‘Minoc Mint.’ I already have a little escape portal on the side of my house, which used to be for my red shoppers being attacked by blues, but now can go both ways.”

Frank Bama can usually be found restocking his vendors at the “MiniMall,” adjacent to the Vesper tailor shop, “The Spinning Wheel,” ( 87°53'N, 115°44'E) in Felucca.

Grand Opening: A Blind Man’s Outlet, Luna Location

ATLANTIC—One of Atlantic’s enduring establishments will soon be returning to the city of Luna. A Blind Man’s Outlet, founded in 2007, is known for its consistent supply of needful goods, available for purchase at affordable prices. The Outlet has sold its wares in several locations over the years, perhaps most notably at the historic Treasure Trove. After a brief period in Zento, the shop is now returning to its original plot in Luna and is scheduled to open on Sunday, 11 October 2009.

In anticipation of the Outlet’s Luna re-opening, I sat down with the Outlet’s proprietor, A Blind Man, a.k.a. Static, to learn more about his establishment.

A Blind Man took a break from UO in late 2008. My first question to him was, “What brought you back?”

“What would my customers DO without ME?” he joked.

Like many former players, A Blind Man found it difficult to forget about UO.

“I would be at work and would think about UO,” he recalled. “I just said, enough is enough. I started back up my account and within 24 hours and [with] help from some VERY good friends, I was able to start ‘The Outlet’ again!”

Although the Outlet has appeared in several different locations, it has managed to garner a loyal customer base. I wanted to know, “What makes the Outlet stand out above the others?”

“Consistency,” said A Blind Man. “Simple as that. EVERY week I have the same items, the same prices, and usually the same location. UO Players demand that – they love finding their goods at a reasonable price.”

Most Atlantians know A Blind Man for his business ventures, but others remember him for his more devious exploits: a few of his adventurers as a professional pickpocket are published on UOThief.com. I asked A Blind Man if he had any plans to return to the shadowed alleyways of Britannia.

“Well, the story is kind of ridiculous. I played with the great Chad Sexington and Tony Emerald on Siege and Atlantic, and I posted a few stories and loved it. But real issues kept me from focusing my attention on it.”

In light of real-life concerns, he was unable to continue with THIEF. Instead, he decided to try his hand as a full-time merchant.

“I jumped ship and developed my personality, ‘A Blind Man,’ who actually has no crafting or merchant ability. I happened to have another great character named ‘Static’ [his merchant], who is the one that makes my UO dream possible.”

Upon his return to UO, A Blind Man acquired a Zento house and resumed business as usual, but when the opportunity arose to purchase his original vendor plot in Luna, he jumped at the chance.

“While I love Treasure Trove and Zento Island, I felt that I was only serving a certain percent of Atlantic Players,” he said. “I felt that Luna having a bad reputation on prices would assist me in the market. I check a lot of other vendors every day to make sure my prices are consistent and are meeting or below market average.”

Luna vendor rentals are in high demand, due to their convenient location. I asked A Blind Man if he planned to rent vendor spots.

“I do and they’re free! Free in Luna? No tax? Nothing? Only a few spots, though. Get them while they last!”

Concluding our interview, I asked A Blind Man if he had any last remarks.

“Simple as this, I love UO. With all of its quirks, ups and downs, player hardships and friendships – with all of its confusing, elaborate tasks and demands of daily attention – I love UO,” he said. “2D/SA/KR/3rd Dawn, whatever you call it, however you package it, market it, you can’t go to any other game and get the same feeling.”

A Blind Man wished to add the following thank-you.

“EA/Mythic Dev Team – While I grind my teeth on certain days because of you guys, I want to thank you guys for standing by us and keeping this great thing, we call UO, alive. You guys don’t get the kudos from players a lot, so if you read this, thank you!”

A Blind Man is a full-time Sherriff’s Deputy and “Closet Nerd.” He has been playing UO since 1999. His vendor shop, A Blind Man’s Outlet, will open in Luna on Sunday.

Directions to the new venture can be found on the Atlantic Forum under the News Post of the same name.

At this Harrower we will be killing everyone who attempts to show up. All factions and other enemy guilds are encouraged to attend. Be sure to message former UO players and get them to come. *General Advice*

- Place all non-essential items in your bank/house
- This includes rarely used insured items so you save money
- Make sure you have enough insurance for at least 10 deaths
- If you get a replica/artifact, be sure to insure it right away
- If you get a good scroll don't announce it, either eat it or get out of there as quickly as possible
- Standing still is how thieves steal your items

- If you are attacked for any reason, focus on healing yourself while others take out the attacker

MIASMA
In her new Role as Queen, Dawn has been reviewing all the papers that were left behind from the evil Casca, of all the documents she has read the worst has to be a book entitled The Miasma Recipe written by Caut ; much of this tome was ruined , most of the pages had turned green; Only the following passages could be read:

This recipe will turn the air a heavy green, and will cause anyone breathing the air to become violently ill; those with lesser constitutions may even die a slow painful death. On the last page is written:Copies of recipe have been hidden in several dungeons. The scrolls the recipe have been written on were treated with acid and if a person attempts to copy the scroll the acid will be transferred by the scribe’s fingers ruining the new parchment. In the margin of the book in Casca’s handwriting, is scribbled “send Echo the guard to get Caut.” Dawn fears that one of Casca’s former guards could find the recipe and cause terror throughout the land. She has asked Avery to lead this investigation to try and determine where the recipe is hidden and to then secure the recipe so that it may be destroyed.Avery was able to find this former guard Echo and after interrogation learned the locations Caut claimed to have hidden the scrolls. Casca had been planning an expedition to recover the recipe, but perished before he had the chance. Avery believes that the recipe scrolls must be recovered soon or they may be recovered by member of Casca’s old guard. Avery requests that the Royal Assemble to assist in the recovery of these recipe scrolls. Avery will lead four expeditions to recover the scrolls please assemble in the festival fields north of the Britain Moongate in trammel at the following dates and times:

A Day In The Life And Death Of Cear Dallben:
Fellow Sosarian

Ultima Online, a persistent world. One with depth and endless possibility.

I woke up yesterday morning. it was 10am. My day off. It was raining outside.
Some would find that to be gloomy or depressing. I found it to be an excellent time
to get some coffee, listen to the rain drop, and immerse myself in to as many aspects
of this world we all live in as I could. Perhaps some crafting of wares, questing,
a trip down memory lane. And what day would be complete in Ultima with out an intense
array of slaying.

Objective one, Crafting. With the help of more civilized gargoyles I have learned to craft
stones that can hold the lore learned from one, and give to another. And Sadly my new friend, Lord Harvey Malstroom, had named his crafter, HS HdfhjSHfal. Which is never acceptable.
To we set off to gather what we needed to craft this magnificent Soul Stone.

To the Prism of Light!
Twas glorious. as we waited outside the exhibit a gate appeared and
an army came before us. and in the name of slaying, it was done.

=

Next Objective, Explore old realms. I thought it would be a good time to go visit Rivendell. And if you have never been there, or know not of what I speak. To go Felucca Britain and head straight up. You will find one of Atlantics Oldest Establishments. I made my way into the Hungry Halfling Tavern. It was empty and in ruins. But that did not stop me from drinking the ale. I left a Mark on the bulletin board and went to sit by the fountain. As I sat there, taking handfuls of water to the mouth I heard a noise. First that of magical relocation then that of hard labor. I went to greet the fellow Sosarian and perhaps invite him in for an ale. But as I approached the man he seemed to stand there lifeless, like a damned soul forced to repeat the same action for all eternity. Assuming he was one of Minax's resource gathering automatons, I made quick work of him.... No blackrock :(

Shortly after I ran into my friend, Harvey Malstroom who claimed he had beaten to the north, by a section of mountains that resembled the symmetrically cut top half of a bowtie in space......

For giving me such a ridiculous description of where he was killed, I stabbed him in the chest until he died.
Then called in back up to bring this murderer to justice. Cal Hurst[CoM][:8:] and I set off to the north. We combed the land for hours but found no such man. Perhaps he was hiding in the shadows. We were saddened by this, and decided to extend this trip down memory lane. We headed to the Britain Crossroads. This used to be a great hot spot for good old fashioned player vs player combat. So we stopped by to check it out and talk of all the good times here. What, a, coincidence....
A keep had just fallen at the cross roads and it was a raging battle for loot and life. Huzzah! Battle!
Cal Hurst and I were immediately attacked by the dominate guild there, HOT. Cal managed to drag one off into the woods and slay him. I sadly, was slain by a gigantic woman with a lance galloping on a polar bear.
Luckily there was a healer near by and I managed to gather my belongings and hang around for a while and watch the festivities from a safe distance.

Moments later I received a message. It was giant polar bear woman! "Greetings and good fight" I said.
She informed me of something I did not notice. My alchemy talisman had been looted from my body!
I had just bought this yesterday. Leave it to me to run around felucca with insane loot in my pack....
She made the honorable offer to give it back to me in Trinsic. I met her there and gave my thanks. I have GOT to keep a better eye on my things. This kind of action gives a man respect for his adversaries. And adds to the fluctuating system of karma we have in Ultima. Shortly after this I met a man in covetous slashing his way thru the den of harpies. We battled for hours. Valor and skill with every move. But he soon fell. And he left before I could get him on his feet. I noticed that on him were his sleeves. Very nice. I waited from him to return and thanked him for the battle. And I paid it forward, giving him his sleeves and wishing him luck.

The day was growing dark, and the horrors were just beginning to come out of the shadows. There was only one thing left on my list...
SLAY
Nh'bdy and I amassed what forces we could and ventured into the Stygian Abyss.
We did not stop riding until we stood before the home of the Primeval Lich.
We fought for hours. People came and they went. But we stayed. From time to time you could hear the voice of the Lich in your head, taunting you.

We slew his minions and at last, and he was forced to show himself, and back his claims.
He Came,

 and He Went.

What a world we live in. Where friends and enemies can be made every day, battles are won and lost, and anything is possible.
