After last nights graveyard event, which featured well over an hour of spawn, culminating in a boss Mongbat, EM Dudley (and the Spirit Advisor) hung around to chat with anyone who cared to for quite a long time. He is a very patient person, and was fortunately wearing a doublet which was crafted by the Minoc Flak Jacket Co. hehe....cute and creative.
First I want to say, the event was great fun, and unique items were given out in undisclosed numbers:
Some sort of unique bandages which I did not see
Orange hued lanterns, named light of knowledge. (Tancred got one and might be persuaded to post a screenie)
A book off the Mongbat boss...aptly titled The Top Prize. (This was won by Pearl)
I'm going to apologize, I have no screenshots and will be telling high points from memory.
~ Some events will give items and some will not.
~There will be an event next month called Feast of the Harvest Moon.
~ The contest and silly fun type events like at last weekends Harvest Moon Festival, will be prizes like GM crafted clothing with clever names. (I received two of those; one for apple bobbing contest, a jester hat crafted by Britannia Apple Growers Inc., 6 total given out; and a wizard hat for costume contest crafted by Moonglow Costume Emporium, 5 total given out.)
~ "Meatier" Events, featuring battles and such will feature giveaways of more unique items, such as last nights lanterns and bandages.
~ All the EM's had a meeting Monday night with their boss to clarify what they should and shouldn't be giving, and in what numbers. There should be more equity between shards. Movement is going away from globally handing out items to everyone.
~ Said numbers of each item will be undisclosed
~ The Commander Foxx/Belander saga will be ending next month with an Epic ending...Epic being the word Dudley used.
~ A dual Tram/Fel event is in the works, might be slightly different on each facet. He is not sure what to do about the fel duels, I assume from what i've read this is due to technical issues to prevent griefing...but you would need to ask him that.
~ Constructive feedback and ideas continue to be invited, and everyone should try to attend the House of Common meetings, held on Sunday nights at 9
~ He feels that for him, in game methods are the best for getting word out to folks. He favors scrolls because the event announcers are limited to one-liners and are more cumbersome to set up.
~ Don't expect a lot of updates on the website, Dudley is a person after all, and freely admitted to us that website construction is "by far not his strong suit".
There may be more but after I came into the talk a few minutes late and had a short's night sleep, this is what stands out for me.
The chat began with some players being pretty unhappy, but I think by the end, everyone had a better understanding of things.

The Festival of the Harvest Moon kickoff is 6 pm ET at the Skara Brae community center.
EM hosted events to include:
Saturday, 7-8 PM, second round of the garden contest for those who missed it. You must bring your own plants and decorations. Only items that are able to be dropped are permissible, i.e. no deeded/custom house design items. Entrants will have a 10x10 area to design your garden. You have one hour to do so. Location: Hall of Victory, Malas (Use the teleporter at the Counselor's Hall in Britain)
Saturday, 9-10 PM, Bobbing for apples. Entrant who can eat the most apples will have their gastric prowess forever remembered in history. Location: Luna Fairgrounds
Sunday, 8 PM, Costume Contest. Dress up for Halloween! Categories include best solo costume and best couples costume. Location: Luna Fairgrounds
Sunday, 10 PM, Story telling contest. Entrants will receive 5 minutes to tell a story! Location: Luna Fairgrounds
There are other events being hosted during the festival as well by third parties. Gates to every event will be available from the Skara Brae community center. A full catalog of events will be available at the Skara Brae Community center. All times are Eastern. The Hall of Commons meetings will resume next Sunday at the normal time (Have fun at the festival instead!!). All concerned citizens are encouraged to attend as this is the best way to provide feedback!

Event Review:
Tuesday night at 9:00pm EST citizens from Baja, Pacific and Europa shard
made their way over to Chesapeake. The All Shards Tavern Night hosted by
Kijustsu Anei Village is a time for everyone to come relax, partake in mini
events, roleplay, exchange ideas and make new connections of communication
with other communities. The hosts of the event Ado the Theif, Niva the
Savage and Lord Gareth have been planning this event for months. On
Tuesday night it all the planning and waiting for launch paid off with a great
turn out from all shards.
Ado the Thief ran a small mini event for the night, "War Stories". Where
people attending were given the opportunity to tell of great battles they
were in or heard of. Below you will find the stories told during the night.

"I came across a disturbingly ugly world with three heads! I charged the wolf as fast as my goat legs would take me I took my war fork and jammed it straight into the eyes of the right head. Thinking this would kill the beast It did not fall! Nearly stop one head from biting the wolf tackled the goat! and started chomping down with the other two heads. But Goats, my friends have a secret weapon. No one.... nobody...nohow ever sees the headbutt coming. Knocking out one of the heads I took a dagger and cut both throats. Finally laying the beast to rest. A victory for all goats!"

"I would like to tell you all a wonderful tale about being an Orc slave. So, as an Orc slave I get to make thing and sometimes eat. Mostly make things. Not so often eat. One day I made some gloves for one of the orcs. Some of my best work I think. But he lost them Or sold them but he said he lost them. I will never forget those gloves. Thank you."
The Tavern night went over schedule to about 11:00pm EST. The savages
were unable to hold the Savage Sponsored hunt. The hosts and village

Tuesday night runes could be found all over the land for the new XOR Orc fort location. Many came to see what it was all about and were met by Orcs wielding clubs and maces!! They had successfully taken over the Felucca Cove Orc fort. Now the Xor clan wanted to show its muscle by proving the clan was strong enough to hold it. The Orcs Da'SIiNGur [XOR], King Xor [XOR], Arig'Tak [Orc] battled different guilds and tribes. The Gank Squad guild and savage Tonkaweya Tribe were among those battling the Orcs. Xor clan was victorious in the end and still remain the dominating clan of the Felucca Cove Orc Fort.The XOR clan can be found at the Felucca Cove Xor Orc Fort during the evening hours. Days they show up are random.   |

Journey to the Harrower!
It's not everyday one can enter the realm of perhaps the most ferocious beast this world has to offer. Such was the case last eve as I hastily decided to accept an invite to travel to the lands of Felucca. Gathering my armours I journied to the dungeons depths en route to the star room to meet my guides for the evenings fun, the UhOh guild. Placing the skulls upon the temple the infamous black gate came to life as our group moved into the darkenss appearing somewhere within the great Terathean Keep. Our search for the one and only Harrower had begun. Arriving near the north walls of the second level , we found ourselves face to face with the shards ultimate champion.
Expecting visitors, UhOh dug in for the long haul as exits were soon manned and fielded with precision as the party engaged the evil being.
The sights and sounds of the nights battle still fresh in my mind, I recall the massive dragons and mages afoot casting furiously into the evil one's direction. Even a newfound Vollem was out for action this eve lending its might along the way.
Just as the objective and the path to its defeat seemed clear the call rang out of invaders in the corridors to the east. FoA had arrived with minimal forces to attempt to thwart the efforts of UhOh. A giant Colossus was unleashed upon the unsuspecting invaders forcing thier retreat from which they came.
Dealing deadly blows UhOh bested the invaders in short work with the battle reaching the home of the Legendary Mephistis. Here I got a death robe of my own!
With the invaders quelled the attention soon turned back to the evil ones demise. a long lenghty battle ensued with UhOh eventually slaying the beast.
As always the battle rages on in the lands of Felucca. Thanks to the UhOh Guild for the invite and grand time witnessing the carnage. A hearty well fought to the brigands of FoA for making it interesting. Great night!

Ottersrun Taphouse Reopens!
The player run city of Guardians Gate celebrated the reopening of its trademark establishment last eve as players gathered at the new designed plot just east of Britain to mark the occasion. Ale and gifts were aplenty as patrons toured the establishment and readied themselves for a night of Darts and community fun.
Entrants soon formed brackets as shooting began. Eighteen in all tested thier luck as several great rounds took place with the nights best shots coming from Lady Jazz (RBG) as she was the only particpant to hit the acutal bullseye! With two rounds setting the pace for the nights high score of 70! For her efforts she took home 500k! The nights eventual Championship round resulted in Indian Chief Joe besting the field to win a cool million gold along with the customary event trophy!
Congratulations to Lord Delta Butch, propietor of the Ottersrun Taphouse, and the city of Guardians Gate as the famed Taphouse , who lease saw over 20k visits in its previous location embarks on its second coming.

A bit post mordem with this one, my apologies. A fine night it was none the less as EM Vladmiere hosted the nights event as three brave new battle chicken lizard owners were the first on the shard to face off with these immensely popular new little beasts. EM Vladmiere wisks those willing off to a secret cave location for the nights event as in the end it was Lord Merlock of Dragons Watch besting the field to win the nights honors. Congratulations to him along with all who participated. Train those beasts as surely more of these type matches are in the future!

 Queen Dawn  More small talk was made then everyone was gated back to the castle for a more formal meeting between the two Queens. The Gargoyle Queen Thanked Queen Dawn for the hospitality Dawn responded saying she Embraces her people with open arms and wish they visit her land. Zhah Offered the same to her people. A hope of an era of cooperation and prosperity between our lands and races and offer to thy people the knowledge of the gargoyle race in all things now and forever. Dawn offered her a room to stay in since she seemed tired. The Zhah accepted. Tomorrow they will see how security is and have a party. So keep your eyes open on the event announcers and information scrolls.  |

 Slasher of Veils Defeated by TEB! The Underworld
September 22, 2009
Kroth and Spag two lone dexers against one of the Underworlds most
deadliest beasts. These two took this monster on with little
challenge. The only challenge was fighting it for so long but,
in the end like most battles against great dexers the beast fell.
The weapon of choice? Soul Seeker. Healing tactics? Cross healing.
Armor? Not sure. From what this reporter has seen this villain of
Veils packed a hard left fire hook. One does have to wonder if
Draconi had any say in all this Fire destruction this beasts does
during battle. Congrats to Kroth and Spag.
(I will be around this week peeking in at different monster battles
in the under ground. Your epic battle could be seen next!)

| FoA Treasury (Museum) Moves To Ter Mur | |

After walking in Zento I noticed the Museum seemed to have vanished. I
later found the museum in its new home of Ter Mur. I had the opportunity
to contact Solus, the owner of the museum to ask him a few questions
about one of Chesapeakes largest Museums. The new location is directly
East of the Ter Mur Moongate.
Why has the FoA Treasury / Museum moved to Ter Mur?
I moved the house because the atmosphere in Ter Mur seemed much more
fitting. The amount of travel it will see, will be increased once the moongate
is activated. More people will be visiting Ter Mur than they did with Zento.
What kind of items does the museum collect?
I collect any EM Items/Sever Births/Shard wide community event
items/Seer Items. My goal is to help show the history of each shard
through the items that were found during their events. I try not to
divulge into the history of each item, because I find the time researching
and reading the history of the event and the item is much more fun and
informative.
The museum seems very well organized.
Do you have a certain way of displaying items?
I do not have set standards to display the items. I am not the best
decorator around, but I try to make everything flow. I do admit, the most
rare items will usually be found on the first floor.
What is the most historic item in the Museum?
Fiction wise in the game, the Treachery is probably the most historic.
It was Lord Blackthorns "claw" after all.
Do you have any new displays recently added to the museum?
I have added several new items from around various shards. The items are
mostly from recent events these shards have had the past couple months.
What is your favorite display and why?
They are all my favorite. Some items do hold a deeper meaning for me.
Maidens Heart + Silver Plated Skull because they were items I received
myself on Chessy. Treachery + Gem of Immortality because of the fiction
behind the two items.
Give us a look into how you decide what goes into the museum
and how you obtain the item for display.
Obtaining the items is no easy task. First off there is a large Rares
community that helps keep track of when a shard has an Event Item.
Then the next task is to post/travel to that shard to find the item and
track down someone who owns it. Negotiating is the hardest part, working
out a deal that satisfies both parties. Once you finalize your deal, you of
course need to pack up the gold, and travel to and from the shard. For
items over 100m in value, there are also trust issues. You have to discuss
and figure out the safest way for both parties to trade. Sometimes this
requires a broker to step in and help.
Has the museum ever donated any decorative items to any outside communities?
I do try to add to the community as much as I can. While true, I
unfortunately cannot hand out the big rares, anything I can do to
add to the shard community I will try my best. If something is needed,
please ask Gareth to pass it on to me, and I will see what can be done.
I also am aware some people may take that with a grain of salt considering
how harsh I am on EM Vladimere, I want to reiterate, items in my collection
are usually never for sell. When I get upset at Vladimere for being the only
shard at the moment to NOT give Event Items, I am upset because we have
no pieces of history to take home with us. Greed rules the world, but for
me, it is about taking home a piece of history so I can show others history
of our shard and others.
A peak at the first floor of the FoA Treasury. This is all but a small part of
the entire display area which is every tile in the building. If you want to see
more you are just going to have to visit the FoA Treasury. Thank you

| PaxOku and Kijustsu Anei Part Ways | |

Okuintwo PaxOku and Kijustsu Anei Part Ways
PaxOku undergoes significant changes as of Sundays eve. The city has been split into two defined areas. Kijustsu Anei Village as its called is emerging on its own from the parting of ways. Attending the cities biweekly meeting led by Governor Winfield, visitors were greeted at the cities "Blue Light Tavern."
General announcements included the resignation of the cities mayor of almost a years time Bam Bam, the temporary Mayorship of Winfield inside the city, along with a thank you to Bam Bam for her conrtibutions to the city. Governor Winfield then opened the floor to speakers, Bam Bam, Niva and Gareth took turns accordingly explaining the current announcement that the established "Village of Kijustsu Anei" would open its doors to the realm as the shards newest player run village.
The two settlements would share the space outside the Homare Jima Moongate in attempts to coexsist during these changing tides. City boundaries would soon be redrawn as the two parties worked to hammer out finalities within the sepration. The two newfound neighbors will look to once again foster mutual respect and good play in the coming months as both begin to grow anew. Godspeed to all.

Casca is dead long live the queen.The evil tulip crushing Casca is dead!
Festival Of The Harvest Moon
EM Dudley has received a few ideas for the upcomming Festival. He
asks that people keep them coming. Many ideas are better then a few ideas.
Battle Royale
Qualifiers will continue. If anyone has any suggestions for the arena
and or the format of the combat to please send them to his email

Temptress and Jessica
Temptress was killed trying to defeat the Platinum Dragons just prior to the
Crimson event. Jessica is still dead and roaming around. She will now be able
to be resurrected. Now that Temptress is gone.
Em Vladimere Event
Their is another upcoming event that he hopes everyone will enjoy and
come watch. He will let the town spammer in Luna announce it when it
happens. If anyone remembers from years ago the adventures of
"Immanewbee".Its going to be kinda based on that.
In regards to Kildare and Company
The Ems are working on the next part of that.
Once it's finished, they will get to it again So stay toon'd
Locked Down Runes
We are still working and discussing the locked down player runes.
Kinda trying to figure whats gonna work and what wont. How to
go about it all.
Questions and Comments from the Crowed
Dudley and Vladimere. We would ju' like t' inform ye that Kijustsu Anei has a
new Tavern. Should any of ye be thirsty. Shes called the Iron Bandit Inn.
We had a memorial last Friday at the Sacrifice Shrine. Thank you so much
Ems for the lantern memorial and flowers. Several came, told of their
stories. As Tancred would say, the time was full of hope though. Dudley
also informed everyone that the 911 item there now will be staying.

Is the Britannian Government planning to declare Britian a No Fly
Zone now that Gargoyles have arrived? I have no heard of any plans
from the new administration regarding the incorporation of the Ministry of
Flight. However should such a body be organized all citizens will be made
aware.
Lady Oni and Gareth were wondering. If it would be at all possible for Oni
to host her ball at the fairgrounds. She wants to do a disco night around
the color monster. Any chance some color cloth could be locked down so
no one disturbs it? For the dance floor
Dudley responded with a yes and that he could construct a dance floor.
A date and time will be announced.

SLEnding Lady Dawn Leads Chesapeake To Victory Over The Shadowlords
The evil that has plagued the realm of late came to its finale this weekend as Lady Dawn with the aid of the Platinum Dragons led the uprising to crush the forces of the Shadowlords. The battle began on Fridays eve, as hordes of Crimson Dragons were met by the players of Chesapeake as well as the protectors of the realm the Platinum Dragons, just outside the dungeon Wrong.
The battle began ferociously as the behemoths of the realm shook the earth beneath blasting away at one another as the brave warriors of Chespeake joined the fight attacking the evil Crimsons with all thier might.
As the battle raged on, word spread fast around the realm of the ongoing conflict as not only players and guilds seeking to aid the forces of good arrived but evil murderers and faction fighters from Minax and the Shadowlords jumped into the fray slaying those who might aid the Platinums. The Followers of Armedeggon's attempt to thrwart the will of the virtues fell short as their forces and many dragons were eventually slain by the combined forces of Chesapeake.
Once the murderous fiends were held off, the efforts of the realm were realized as the Platinums overtook the final Crimson. The death toll high, a sigh of relief could be taken as the realm was safe, at least for that eve. Special thanks to Panaramix (Qc) for our screen shots as well as Pink (MoB) for thier eyewitness accounts.
Healing the wounded and recouping from the previous nights battle brought many questions as the realm wondered if this truly was the end of all the suffering brought upon us all. The Shadowlords had been dealt a defeat but had not been seen themselves. The treachery of Lord Casca in tow, the veil of the Shadowlords still lingered in the air. Sundays town crier brought word to meet Lady Dawn in the city of Britain.....
Equiping myself with thy sturdiest armour and spells I made the trek to Britain arriving from Guardians Gate to find citizens gathered in excitement and ready for anything as the anticipated arrival of the fabled warrior ensued. Appearing on the rooftop of the Britain Counselors Hall, Lady Dawn addressed the crowd speaking of the true nature of the Shadowlords intentions here on Chesapeake.
Lady Dawn told those in attendance the Shadowlords sought to recreate a new "Gem of Immortality" , The very gem which created the multiple facets we call home here in the realm which met its end many years ago. She revealed she knew thier location as the very lords of evil guarded its completion. Calling upon the crowd to help defeat this plot against them, the call to arms had begun.
Calling upon the mantras Lady Dawn opened a moongate to the described location. The group plunged into the darkness to find themselves deep inside a cavernous area dank with the smell death itself. The defenders of the realm knew not what lie ahead.
Charging forward to meet thier foes head on, courageous warriors from all walks of life took up arms against the beasts that lie within. What seemd like hundreds of Shadowlord Manisfestations roamed the corridors! Alerting the evil to our prescence the battle that ensued was nothing less than spectacular to bear witness too. Thunderous bolts of energy and flame lit the darkness as the caves floor was soon littered with the bodies of warriors and manifestations alike.
The relentless will of the players of Chesapeake tested to its fullest, the group fought deep into the catacombs reaching a mystical altar from which sparkeld a gem of which none had ever seen. Brillianty red in color, and gleaming with the powers of all Sosaria, It's keepers , the three masters of the shadows Nosfentor, Faulinei, and Asteroth stood in our way. The battle was fierce and the death toll immense as the Shadowlords fought unto thier own demise eradicating many along the way. Barely surviving the encounter, we gathered to bear witness to the gem and Lady Dawn's retrieval of the powerful artifact.
Claiming the gem for safekeeping Lady Dawn once again summoned the mantras transporting us to Castle British. Ascending the throne gem in hand, she made several declarations. The glorious lady warrior declared her intention to assume the throne of Britannia! The shadowlords defeated her sights now set on Lord Casca. Boasting her first works upon laying claim to the throne was to free those falsely accused by Casca. Lord Avery, Commander of the Royal Guard was to be set free immediately, along with the once salty thief Ricardo! The would be queen then ordered the construction of a new House of Commons north of Britains Gate.
Among the many riches discovered with the gem were hordes of Cloaks of Corruption, Doom Artifacts, and three very peculiar items. Small fragments or "shards" of the newly constructed gem were gathered by a lone warrior. Conker aka Necro amassed all three shards dealing heavy damage to all three Shadowlords. He took a few moments to show me the precious remnants. Upon realizing thier origin and importance, he proclaimed the three would be split among several locations along with the realm to ensure any and all who wished to visit and gander at the prizes of victory. I even went as far as to suggest one be displayed at the Museum of the Virtues, one of the realms most prominent museums. The kryss wielding necromancer assured us he'd mull it over!
The day saved once again by the citizens of the realm led by the air apparant to the throne of Lord British. We now look to locating Lord Casca to confront the false king one final time. Will he relinquish the throne to Lady Dawn? In the words of our own EM Dudley "Stay Toon'd!"

Lord Casca, King of Britannia to invite Lady Dawn to a special audience
September 10th at 8 ET! All Citizens invited to attend this invitation
to take place at Castle Blackthorn [Tram]!
Santiago reports a special congratulations to Yamamoto for catching
"BEEG FEESH!" during the Angling Tournament! A whopping 196 stone fish
was landed, falling just one stone shy of the shard record! Another
congratulations to Merlock for landing 8 lunkers, earning them both a
spot at the Hall of Victory!
The next round of Battle Royale Qualifying matches at the Duelist's Edge
will take place this Wednesday night at 7 ET. Note the change from the
original Thursday date planned. Remember, it's not too late to sign up!
