It has been many months since I have posted on the Community News. My hopes are that todays post will inspire not only Role Players but many in our community.
In both the General News and Community News we have been informed of the new Gargish language and linked to the new dictionary. As a reporter for Great Lakes for more than eight years and a periodic reporter for Catskills I find all things new in this world that we love in, die in, play in and grow old in very exciting. This new language is a challenge for sure. Always up for a challenge I studied the new dictionary and wrote a little article that I would like to share with the entire community.

Q: How long will the Treasures of Tokuno event going to last?
A: Currently it's scheduled for one month. However, stay tuned to the event page for any updates. You can get to the page by clicking here.
Q: How can I participate in the Treasures of Tokuno event?
A: All you have to do is defeat the denizens of Tokuno in battle. Every creature has a small chance of carrying one of the treasure items.
Q: Do I have to have an Ultima Online: Samurai Empire account to participate?
A: You will have to travel to the Tokuno Islands in order to acquire the items yourself. However, items from the first phase will be usable by everyone. Items obtained during the second phase will only be usable by UOSE accounts.
Q: What monsters give the best chance to drop a Treasures of Tokuno item?
A: Rumor has it that the tougher inhabitants of Tokuno seem to be better at hoarding treasure.
Q: What is this I hear about a shipwreck in the Tokuno Islands?
A: We're not exactly sure, but we've heard some whispering in the back alleys of Zento ourselves. Perhaps you can ask the more experienced Tokuno adventurers if they've seen anything odd...
Q: How can I return the treasures I've found to their rightful owner, the Empress of Tokuno?
A: To return the treasures you've found, visit the Imperial Minister of Trade located on the second floor of the Rockvon Cultural Center in Zento. As you approach him, he will examine any minor artifacts you might be carrying and allow you to choose the ones you wish to return.
Q: How many minor artifacts do I have to return in order to be rewarded?
A: The Empress has instructed the Imperial Minister of Trade to give 1 reward for every 10 minor artifacts returned.
Q: Do I have to bring the Imperial Minister of Trade all 10 minor artifacts at once, or can I return them one by one?
A: The Imperial Minister of Trade will remember how many you've returned, so you can return them as you find them or in groups of up to 10 at a time.
Q: If I've used any of the minor artifacts, can I still return them?
A: Yes, with the exception of the Chest of Heirlooms. Don't attempt to unlock it if you wish to return it to the Empress.
Q: Is there a limit on how many minor artifacts I can return to the Empress?
A: No, she will be pleased if you return as many as you can find.

| The Syndicate Holds Community Events | |

This just received from our friends at The Syndicate: The Syndicate Holds Community Events  The Syndicate held a series of Community Events this past weekend. They included our weekly Craftsman Day that has been going on once a week, every week for more than a decade. In addition to that ancient event, two other very fun events occurred. On Saturday, Syndicate member's Faye and Umeko hosted a "Build A Village" event. The idea was to bring the community together and create a temporary village out of seemingly random items and form a virtual community for a couple of hours until things began to rot. The question, "Would this event be something players would enjoy?" was certainly on our mind before the event began. When all was said and done though, more than 30 players had participated and quite an extensive village was built, enjoyed and then decayed. There was a tavern, a concert hall and a number of very creative houses and some decorated ruins. Below are some screenshots of some parts of the village. 
On Sunday, The Syndicate held one of its famous Lottery events. More than 50 players from all over the server were gated in for the free lottery drawing where 25 prizes were given out. The winners for this round of the lottery were: - Dexter

You can find Syndicate gaters at the major banks. You will know them by the LLTS abbreviation over their heads and the blue robes that they wear. As always CD is a free event and open to all. |

This just received from our friends at UOForums: UOForums Interviews Mesanna (UO's Associate Development Manager)  Mesanna took some time out to answer questions sent in by our users, so here's our interview with Mesanna. 1) What are some of the ways UO is trying to innovate to stand out from other games? In my opinion UO is so unique we can only improve on that foundation. We want to make sure there is something for everyone’s play style. 2) The Warriors of Destiny story arc has been long(over 2 years!) and enjoyed immensely by the player community. With it's conclusion fast approaching, is there another grand story arc waiting in the wings? If so, can you give some very vague thematic hints or just cut to the chase and let people know what to start hoarding/camping? Come on guys there is always something in the works, you should know that by now *evil grin* The interview can be found here.
