My travels have taken me to yet another player run and designed museum here in the land of Great Lakes. This one is owned by Neptune and has may curious and wonderful items housed in it.
Many things do not appear as they really are as Neptune pointed out to me. It is important in this museum to click on items and read books near items to truly understand and experience their uniqueness.

The hidden features are very entertaining and the volume of items which include a full set wall carving, void tower, a petal from the golden lotus of heaven, pirate eye patch, night camouflage face paint, a feather of peace from an ethereal being...to mention a few are a delight.
This museum is private but Neptune is more than happy to give private tours of his wonderland.
Neptune is one of those players that is around a lot and easy to run across. The cords to the museum are 57o 28'S, 32o 50'W

What's In Your Profile ?
Is there anything in your profile ?
When I started this game over ten years ago pretty much everyone had something written in their profile. It was and still is another way to be creative in the realm. Sadly fewer and fewer people have anything in their profile.
Not only are profiles a good way to express yourself they are tools for selling and buying. Personally I prefer an evil poem or witty one liner. Below are a few profiles I checked out in the past week.
Hopefully this article will inspire those to include and/ or change their profile not to mention checking out others.

Recently I have been featuring player created museums in the land of Great Lakes. This past weekend while taking my mare FieryVonFiercy out for a run I ran across Legend's Hovel. I have been to the GOF Valley many times but never stopped at this location.
It is a treat for the eyes and a wonder for any collector.
As you can see in the image above one can spend a long time at this structure looking and clicking on items. Below are a few more shots of Legend's Hovel. For those excited about armour the roof top has models dressed in my styles, old school and new.
The cords to this location are 60o 39'N, 28o 7'E
One can also arrive near this location by using the HUB just outside of Luna and clicking on the rose for GOF Valley then go south just a tad and there you are!

New Crimson Dragon Born ! Birthday Bash
*Baby Mirendel early in the morning of her birthday surrounded by dragon easter eggs, chew toy, stuffy horse,
giant teddy bear, blankie, dragon doll, building blocks, and teething ring*
Princess Mirendel celebrated her birthday yesterday with a huge party at Castle Britannia. The party was well attended with food, cake, and beverages flowing. The castle was festooned with lavender balloons for the event.
The party guests, which included several large dragons, moved about all over the castle during this party. People, gargoyles and elves wished and sang happy birthday to Mirendel. There was real joy in the air. No birthday party is complete without gifts and Mirendel received many. So many in fact the Princess could not hold them all !
Like so many birthday girls Mirendel appeared to eat too much cake and started to act rather odd. Maybe it was the sugar. Some claimed the cakes had mild poison in the icing. Regardless she started claiming her baby brother was being hatched. Everyone looked around at each other confused and very worried about the Princess and her strange behavior. Before you could say " sugar high " a gate opened up and everyone was transported to a location in the forest. Before us was a large birthing altar made of the rarest white marble,upon it lay a huge crimson egg.
The egg started to crack and indeed her brother was hatched !
As most know in the land all crimson dragons are not the most friendly of beasts. As babies they are cute but as teenagers they are fierce and nasty. The Princess was just excited to have a baby brother not thinking of the future. That was not the case with the party guests. Talk spread quickly with concern of a baby crimson dragon being raised on the very grounds of Britannia Castle. Not only that gossip of this baby brother having a different father than the princess had tongues wagging. It was not long before these concerns became a reality as adult crimson dragons swooped down on the party and started killing the guests one after another!
As always good won over evil and all the crimson creatures were killed. ( Lag was not bad on this event however the fact that many, including myself, could not loot the corpse was rather annoying. There were many reasons for this. For example, even though enough damage was done for looting rights the flames left behind made it impossible for many to loot as they died over and over again. )
All this drama not to mention sugar intake was too much for the young dragons and they returned to their playpen at the castle.
Artemis sang the children to sleep and the party guests departed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIRENDEL
NOTE: There was a strange event that we should all be concerned and worried about. Princess Mirendel had a case of the hiccups before bedtime and as she hiccuped she changed forms ! She became human would hiccup again and go back to her normal form....very strange...very strange indeed.
Also Mystery EM helped on this event and we would like to thank Mystery for their help.

Awards Hall Gets Update ~ Fish-N-Boots

Decor is often changing at the Awards Hall and the main entrance has had a dramatic make-over this past week.
It is all about boots and fish. On display for the first time are all 10 styles/levels of Spy Boots.

Some other recent items are from the Beach Party 2011. Mounted and displayed are the winning fish from the fishing contest. Tunna of FCB with a large fish 192 stones and Von Hogan also of FCB with an Autumn Dragonfish 159 stones are honored.
For those interested in things of the high and low seas the second floor houses items from the 2010 Beach Party and the 2010 Ice Fishing Contest. Hopefully one day an entire room will be dedicated to sea/fishing/picnic events.

The Awards Hall is full of fun and interesting Great Lakes history not to mention an amazing garden. When checking out these new items be sure to spend time on other floors, open chests and feel the past.

Halloween may be three months away but it is always spooky at CrEaPoR's house.
CrEaPoR invited me to take a look around and that I gladly did as I love all things creepy, evil and spooky in game. It did not take me long to see how much time, effort and gold has gone into creating this most haunted of houses.
He has been playing off and on for 146 months but only started collecting this type of imagery just over a year ago. Five IDOCs had fallen at that time in this nieghborhood which jump started his collection and passion. One of his favorite items is an event item of green bones.
Below are a few more screenshots of the amazing house but one must visit it to see all the detail. Cords are 90o 43'N, 63o 8'E
The haunted house is open to the public and yes it is in Felucca so beware. A little death never hurt anyone * evil snicker *

The Boardwalk Was Deadly, The Taffy Was Daffy and FCB Wins Big In Fishing Contest ~
The Great Lakes Summer Picnic took place on Saturday July 30th and what a way to cool down in the mid summer heat.
Summer, looking rather Gidget-like in her colorful playful summer outfit was running the picnic events. She was assisted by her watery friend Pat The Dolphin.
Food and drinks, very important part of any picnic, were provided near the fire pit.
For those with a sweet tooth taffy was on the menu, three flavors!
This was no ordinary taffy but Lenmir Anfinmotas Taffy. Cherries Jubilee got you all hot and flamey, Peppermint Pink made you sparkle and tingle and Tropical Punch ( which came from monsters ) increased your melee.

Did I say monsters ? Why yes I did !
Pat The Dolphin, being the kind creature he is rooted out the monsters from under the boardwalk so the fishers could fish in peace.
Displaced Oysters, Sini Crabs, Sea Urchins, Tunnel Spirits and Krakens were all killed to make the picnic a safe place but it was the Giant Lobsters that were my favorite. Below are a few images of these water devils.
To my great joy there was a catwalk created on the sand for the summer fashion show. If only I could build one of those in my house I would rarely leave home. * laughs *
Below are the stylish entries in their summer best strutting their stuff on the catwalk.
* Tunna shown practicing on the catwalk. During her actual walk in the fashion show she threw sand on the catwalk and yelled to the crowd, " Bow down all you Fashionistas, Lady Tunna is here. I am giving more fish than a drag queen on Ru Paul's Drag Race." *
During the entire time of this fun in the sun people were fishing...fishing, fishing and fishing. Tunna had been fishing four hours earlier that morning with Lord PT Barnum of -Y- on his grand ship shown below trying to catch the days big one.

Tunna's time at sea paid off as she won first place for a big fish at 192 stones!
The other winner in the fish department was another FCB member, Von Hogan. Von had the largest Autumn Dragon Fish at 159 stones.
The two fish will be on display at the Awards Hall in the near future.
It took me hours to get all the sand out of the cracks and crevices but it was a grand time. I have said it before and I will say it again, Great Lakes has the best EMs !

It’s so hot out… Let’s go to the beach! We can fish and have a feast. Bathing beauties and their beaus will parade in a fashion show. Nevermind all those rumors of monsters lurking under the boardwalk, waiting to bite off your toes!

For the weigh-in, only fish caught that day qualify. If it does not win, you may have it back.
If you would like to participate in the fashion show, please wear a summery outfit. It does not have to be a swimsuit.

The Fishing Council has been around as long as I can remember. This guild of wacky net tossin, fish lovin sea dogs has had several museums over the years.
There is a FCB Rares Museum on the second floor at 72o 26'N, 57o 1'E.
It has a few nice things to check out not to mention it is located in a very fishy part of town. FCB vendor shop is located next to the museum ( they have one in Magincia also ). The FCB Rune Library is in this same area as are FCB Gardens ( viewed by appointment only ) and FCB Windward Keep.
For those readers that are not good with using cords a very easy way to find this museum and shopping area is to use the FCB Banner access at the HUB just outside the Luna City walls.

There are many player created museums on Great Lakes, something we are all very proud of. Outside the Luna City walls just a short walk north one can find The Inverted Flame Museum owned by Whack. 109o 26'N, 17o 22'W
This is a rather nicely designed museum with the first and second floors finished. The third level seems to be under construction and unfinished.
The first floor has a rather large collection of quest items from Tainted Tree Samples to Bride's Letter. The first floor also houses many old school items.
The second floor is set up as a socializing room with many strong boxes about. All the boxes are open to the public and are filled with amazing things. I will keep the contents a secret hoping to lure you to check out this labor of love yourself.

Last night was a deadly night in the land of Great Lakes. It was the evening that The Royal Guard and friends confronted the Reborn Zog.
I arrived early at the Warrior's Guild in Britain and chatted with a few folks table side. It was not long before the second floor of the Guild was teeming with humans and races of all kind.
Gwendolen Kincade arrived taking her place at the head of the table ( kindly asking the person sitting in her seat to remove himself ).
Gwendolen got right down to business informing the crowd that the Royal Spies have passed on reports that Followers of Armageddon plan to attack a city, a peaceful Ilshenar City.
She also warned sometimes people are more devoted to thier criminal plans than their own lives. This caused shivers down my spin as I looked around the room noting some of these folks looked rather sinister. Then Gwendolen opened a magical teal portal to the city in attack and to my shock is was the very location that my wedding took place so many years ago to Kuan Ti. It saddened me to see this regal city in peril.
Zog Reborn appeared to laugh at the crowd as he knew of the doom to come to these brave warriors and mages.
The attack started outside the city then slowly moved to the inner parts of the city.
Blackrock infected creatures, Claws of the Void and Wings of the Void were but a few of the ungodly that attacked and killed so many.
Once all the spawn was killed or what was thought to be all, the survivors gathered around a very odd evil dark tower at the inner most part of the city. Then to the shock and joy of some the meanest of all, Void Weavers appeared taking more tolls but were killed after much hard work. The Royal Guard and friends defeated this attack and the evil tower slowly collapsed as we all looked on.
WE ALL HELPED DEFEND A CITY OF NOBLE ARTISANS AND THAT WAS A GOOD DAY !
Note: I also got my Spy Boots last night ! * claps loudly *

Great Lakes Has A New Garden ! ~

This past weekend a group of garden loving citizens gathered at the Counselor's Guild to round up the missing trees to finish and add the final touches to the most magical new garden on Great Lakes. The Ghost of Isadora Steward guided these folks on an adventure full of tree rescue and tavern journals from Vesper to Nujelm.
Even to a strange and mystical room full of odd paintings and creepy blackrock formations. The best part was the secret word to get into this subterranian vault.... "Subrosa".
The finished garden now stands for all to see and admire. To get to this garden delight all one needs to do is take the teleporter to Reward Hall which is infront of the Counselor's Guild in Brit.
I am not sure what fertilizers or fairy dusts that are applied to this garden but the colors are most special and bright. Below are a few images of this garden but one needs to go there to truly appreciate it.

NWJ Leaves Great Lakes ~ What of Wolve's Hallow and the HUB ?
During a ride this afternoon I noticed an empty plot in the City of Wolve's Hallow. A few people were inside so I popped in to take a listen. To my shock Owen Oberhouse informed me that NWJ has left Great Lakes for another shard and he was unloading his last plot. Asking why the move I was told by Owen that Great Lakes is too crowded and on the other shard they were able to create an entire city larger than Wolve's Hallow on Great Lakes.
Needless to say I was shocked to hear this news. This is not the first time this group of people have moved. They were on another shard before they made Great Lakes their home.
I ran into Lord Bob and he also voiced his sadness seeing this group of people exit Great Lakes.
This made me wonder what will become of the City of Wolve's Hallow Banner? Also what of the HUB with a floral portal to the location and the book giving the history of NWJ ? Will these things be removed ( hopefully the book will be ) as the new residents move into this area?

Poultry Abuse ! CoM and -Y- Guilds Accused Of Animal Abuse !
This evening I went undercover to Ankt's Fortress in Felucca for what I thought was a regular chicken fight like the ones CFC has been holding for years. I was sadly mistaken.
Before the actual fights I interviewed the three chickens that were to fight in this event. Greater Omelet was the first chicken I spoke with. He informed me how his owner has been plumping him up for this fight and injecting him with large amounts of antibiotics.
Then I spoke with the other two fighters Meat and Sanchito. Both of these birds informed me that their owners had been force feeding them steroids for months!
All three pointed out how lovely the place looks. They steered me to the beautiful bed created by Nukasha which indeed is beautiful. They claim they are often bathed in the first floor hot tub, massaged then put to rest in the lovely bed only to be brought up to the top floor later to be bloodied!

Needless to say all this information was shocking to me.
The ringmaster for this event was Chavi. I stayed for the fights to see how it would play out.
Greater Omelet won the first round with Sanchito being the final winner winning both rounds two and three. His owner walked away with a one million dollar prize. I highly doubt poor Sanchito got a thing!
What the owners do not know is that PETA has been called.

Isadora Steward's Garden, Saturday, June 25th, 4 p.m. CDT
Isadora Steward spent her life collecting, growing, and breeding splendid flowers, plants, and trees. When she passed away, she bequeathed her magnificent completed garden to the people of Sosaria. Isadora asked only that the garden layout she had so carefully designed be preserved exactly as she'd intended, in its new location. The transplanted garden's grand opening is scheduled for Saturday.
