This one comes down straight from the Captain of the Guard. There are several missions planned on the books, now, and he wants to make sure his most dedicated Guardsman are in shape before the marching orders.
Join Corporal Kimmel this Sunday morning, at Castle Britannia for drills! Some basics will be knocked out early, to get everyone back into the swing of things, before moving on to some proper marching practice. The Captain understands that some will not be able to make it on this most particular of days, so any who cannot are excused.

Nimrad has informed us that he will have the antidote completed the end of the month, he asks that everyone meet at the West Brit Bank, there he will gate you to a more private location. He asks that the evil Clemons not come, also he states he will report the good behaviour, since the only EVIL guard is Mr. Clemons, to the nice guards like Sir Geoffery or The Second Lt., or that corporal guy that was promoted because people couldn’t say his name.

Friday August 19th brought an official end to the Britannian Games on Lake Superior.
I managed a few pictures throughout the evening as we gathered at Luna Fairgrounds first for award presentations then later as we were allowed to enter the gate of death. The players asked for and were given a night of killing random creatures from Pink Fluffy Stygian Dragons to the random elite ninja.

A bit of a delayed closing. Specially ordered preparations took longer than expected. Delivery from the Lost Lands is tricky, these days…
This Friday, at the Luna Fairgrounds, we will have a little gathering to close out the Games. A final announcement on the medal count, along with recognition of the medalists.
We would especially like all Gold Medal winners to come out and be recognized!

AThe Royal Guard will be meeting this Sunday, August 7th. The primary focus will be on promotions, and putting the current PFC’s through their division trials.

Seeing as how this will be promotions and PFC tests, I suggest all guard members that should be close to or are ready for promotion attend. Check the guard roster page on the EM website if you are already ranked to see where you stand.

2011 Britannian Games Foot Race Pictures
Thanks to Looniper for sharing some of the pictures from last nights EM Foot Race event!
I was able to attend and while off to a personal rough start I enjoyed the jaunt from Umbra to Luna. Along the way were hedge obstacles, exploding mushrooms and traps to make the challenge interesting. I bribed Enoch to don a purple Ilshenar robe and with the finish line in sight what he didn't see was that last exploding mushroom making him *SPLAT* just steps from crossing. Great fun!

Foot race – Tuesday, July 19 at 7pm CST / 8pm EST Regatta – Friday, July 22 at 8pm CST / 9pm EST Where: Meet at Luna Fairgrounds
The 2011 Britannian Games will soon be coming to a close. Ilshenar and Felucca hold commanding leads over the pack. With the exception of the jousting event, won by Ter Mur, these two facets have taken every gold of these Games.
This next Tuesday we will hold the foot race event. We’ll be taking the race of past years, and adding a few… enhancements. Should help even the field a bit.
Friday will be the Regatta! Players will be encouraged to form small crews, by facet, so get your friends in on the action. This is an event best enjoyed with help. You will be required to sail your own classic style ship, so put in drydock whatever you have. Rules and course map to follow:
Participants will launch from Zento and follow the defined course to each checkpoint. At the Checkpoint they will be required to disembark from the ship, retrieve an item from a box on shore, and return to their ship and proceed to the next check point. The first three complete the circuit and return with all the items will be declared the winners. Event staff will record the names of those obtaining items at each check point to verify. No one may leave their ship except at Checkpoints, anyone one found to be cheating will be disqualified.
