Origin's Halloween House 2009

Halloween House 2009 For those who missed this year's Halloween House, you missed out on a perfectly demented puzzle! Upon arrival, the house appeared to be relatively normal ... considering it was designed and built by Crystal! Fortunately I had read Crystal's post about the house really wasn't locked, one just had to find a way to enter. I had navigated my way through the beginning of the maze, when I noticed a purple Stuffy had arrived, so I left the house to check out EM Faine's halloween costume. EM Faine relayed EM Laurana's apologies for not being able to attend, but explained she was with us in spirit. As we stood outside and chatted, more people showed up to take the tour. The house was a delightfully evil maze of dead ends, hidden doors and traps. That's Lord Gunner manning the cannon. I wasn't able to capture the flash of the cannon being shot at an unsuspecting EM Faine. From the cannon room, the path through the house took a lot of twists and turns! In this area, the graphics surrounding the house did a drastic change! Crystal, just how did you accomplish this?! Upon arrival at the final door, we passed by the cookie tree where an ebil brat, a skeletal Saug Arierin, and Marilyn Chambers each hand out trick or treat bags stuffed with goodies. Thank you to Crystal, Gunner, Brat, Saug, Marilyn ... and everyone else who participated in the production of this outstanding Halloween House event!

Coronation Festivities PvP Tournament Results

Coronation Festivities PvP Tournament, Saturday, October 24 Due to an uneven number of entries, VENDETTA won the Round 1 bye and automatically advanced to Round 2. Then EM Laurana and EM Faine Morgan gave a quick explanation of the rules: No looting No murder counts Brackets are random Anything goes: healing, curing, potions unless a match isn't over within the allotted time frame. If a match goes to the allotted time, it will be stopped and a Sudden Death match will be started and there will be no healing, no curing, no potions. If you leave the house you will not be re-admitted. Round 1 Match 1 KoRnUtz (advance) Gallin Match 2 Cesar Falseprophet (advance) Match 3 an ebil brat Toranaga (advance) Match 4 Morgaine (advance) Mere Match 5 Tyr Odinson Hero (advance) Round Two Match 1 VENDETTA (advance) Hero Match 2 KoRnUtz Morgaine (advance) Match 3 Toranaga Falseprophet (advance after Sudden Death match) Their first round went to the time limit, and into a Sudden Death match For 3rd Place Morgaine (won) Falseprophet (3rd Place) Championship Round Vendetta (2nd Place after Sudden Death match) Morgaine (1st Place after Sudden Death match) This match went to the time limit, and a Sudden Death match followed. Congratulations to Morgaine 1st place, Vendetta 2nd place, Falseprophet 3rd place! Great job everyone!  Trophies will be displayed at the Origin Awards House. Following the PvP Tournament, there was a free-for-all in the pit: Morgaine won by killing her four opponents and one spectator! Thank you, EM Laurana and EM Faine Morgan, for another great event! Zhah, Queen of Ter Mur, Meets With Dawn, Queen of Britannia

Wednesday, September 23, 2009 Queen Dawn had requested the citizens of Origin gather at the Britain moongate to provide an escort for the Gargoyle Queen Zhah while she visited our lands. A crowd gathered around Britannia's Queen Dawn as she awaited the arrival of  Queen Zhah of Ter Mur. Queen Zhah arrived and greeted Queen Dawn, ' Des-ailem esh ben met, Lady Dawn, pri-lem de Britannia.' (Hail and well met, Lady Dawn, Queen of Britannia) 'I am pleased to make your acquaintance, and acknowledge your dedication to these lands.' Queen Dawn replied, ' Des-ailem esh ben met, Queen Zhah, pri-lem de Ter Mur. (Hail and well met, Lady Zhah, Queen of Ter Mur) We are honored that you accepted our invitation and hope to forge a harmonious co-existence between our people and yours. The citizens of Britannia have come to honor you and celebrate our victory over the evils that have plagued these lands.' Queen Zhah: 'aro! Please know that I hold no ill will for the unfortunate attack und*.' Queen Dawn then gestured towards the city saying, 'Please allow us now to escort you into the City proper.' At a bend in the road the queens were ambushed, but the brigands were quickly dealt with before harm could come to either queen. The crowd escorted the queens safely to Britain, where the procession made its way through the streets to Lord British's Castle. Upon arrival at the castle, Queen Dawn quickly apologized to the visiting queen of the gargoyles for the attack they had encountered along the way.  'Queen Zhah, I sincerely apologize for the attack along our journey. Please believe me when I say we are working to rid the land of the lawlessness that has plagued us in our past days. My most humble thanks to our valiant escort for our safe arrival.' Queen Zhah graciously replied, 'Please know that I hold no ill will for the unfortunate attack. Your defenders proved themselves to be all that we had heard, and I am proud to have had them as my escort this eve. I have spent many generations safeguarding the future of the gargoyle race. I do not appear before you capriciously; you have earned this visit in many ways.  The gargoyle Infel -- you know of him?' Queen Dawn, 'Yes Queen Zhah, we know of Infel. Unfortunately, many of us who only wished to help were betrayed by his machinations. It saddens us deeply to have caused the destruction of the those gargoyles who were only trying to protect the knowledge that Donal had gathered.' Queen Zhah, 'I know all too well of your pain, for his betrayal of his own kind tore through the gargoyle lands as a dagger through flesh. Infel betrayed the gargoyle race, and he betrayed you. You must know that there is no animosity towards your people for the slaying of the Gargoyle Guardians. I have allowed the monk called Donal to work closely with my followers, and the slaying of the Guardians was as much my fault as yours; that is to say, it was neither our faults. Your remorse speaks volumes of your character. Infel betrayed us both, and our common pain will nurture our common strength.' Queen Dawn, 'As well, we hold no ill feelings for one such as Infel. We are all too aware that evil can lurk in even the most virtuous of races. Our own recent experiences have shown us that plainly.' Dawns face reflecting the sadness of the memories of the false King Casca. Queen Zhah, 'Let us move now past that sadness and forward into a new light -- one that knows not the darkness of evil or the bloodshed of deception. Your false king is dead. The disloyalty displayed by Infel shall cease on my word. May we walk amongst each other as citizens in common.' Queen Dawn, 'As you say, Queen Zhah, this is our fondest desire. To embrace peace and walk together as a common people. From this day forward, may your hopes be our hopes, and may your enemies be our enemies. May we seek to blend our cultures and learn from each other as true allies and friends. ' Queen Zhah, 'As a sign of our friendship and future co-existence, I would like to offer a gift to the people of both lands. Would you be so kind as to accompany me?' Queen Dawn, 'We shall be pleased to follow you.' A gate was opened, and we followed the queens through it back to the Britain moongate. Queen Zhah began speaking, 'For many generations, the passage between our lands was closed. The moongates were wiped of the ability for travel, and our races separated by great distance and dangers. It is my great honor to now proclaim that our Mystics have found a way to repair this ancient damage. It gives me great pleasure this day to be able to finally fed ui-de ter-reg, Ter Mur esh Britannia. (Connect our lands, Ter Mur and Britannia) Link the moongates. With Queen Zhah's words spoken, the moongate slowly shifted colors from blue, to green, then back to blue, and Ter Mur's Royal City was now accessible through the moongate. We followed the queens through the portal, and were welcomed to Ter Mur by Queen Zhah. Queen Dawn thanked Queen Zhah and her people for restoring the moongates, then led us to the Royal City so we might explore the wondrous new land. Related Link: A Beginning

Dawn sighed lightly and said, “Yes I know, tis not seemly for a Queen to fidget. But Sherry, I’m not sure I can do this! What do I know about being Queen? Give me a sword and a good fight any day and I’m your girl. I mean, look at me! I’m wearing a dress!”  Sherry hopped up on the desk in front of Dawn and gazed at her seriously.  “Dawn, we’ve been friends a long time. I know better than most that you never sought this office. I know the burden you bear by taking this on and the sacrifices you are making,” Sherry paused thoughtfully. “But I also know better than most how pure your heart is. I know of your great love for this land and it’s people. And I know in my heart how much you care about each and every person. You don’t consider them subjects. You consider them friends. That care and the passion with which you fought all your battles makes you more than worthy for this office.”  “Your grandfather and Lord British would be proud of you,” Sherry stated softly, touching Dawn’s hand with a tiny paw.  Dawn considered Sherry’s words and, in her heart, knew that she was right. Whatever the land and its people needed from her, Dawn would give them. And she would start with the letter she had been reading when Sherry came in. Perhaps this could be the start of driving the cruelty and insanity of Casca’s rule from the lands. Diplomacy. Peace. Perhaps a new friendship and blending of cultures. It had happened with the Meer people long ago. There was no reason to think it could not happen again with the Gargoyles and their Queen. “Yes Sherry, you are right, as usual,” Dawn said with a quick grin. “And we should start now. We have an important visitor to prepare for.” “The coronation will have to wait a bit my friend,” Dawn smiled as Sherry looked crestfallen at delaying the plans for the ceremony she had been looking forward to.  “Well, perhaps we can make this special in it’s own then?” Sherry asked, brightening considerably. She did love a good pageant after all. “Yes, Sherry, I think that’s a wonderful idea,” Dawn stated. “We should show our new friends every courtesy. This is, after all, just a beginning. Let us hope one that ushers in a new age of friendship between both races.”  Dawn quickly pulled a piece of parchment towards her and began to write.  “Dear Friends, I would request that you join me in the throne room of Castle British at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time/6:00 p.m. Pacific time on Monday, September 21 to help make plans for our visitor’s arrival this week. I humbly ask your assistance in showing our visitor the beauty of our land and the grace of our people as we seek to embark on this wonderous new adventure.” Dawn handed the parchment to a waiting messenger and requested that the notice be proclaimed throughout the land.  “And so we begin,” Dawn said to Sherry with a smile. “Now, I hear the cook received a fresh shipment of cheese. Shall we see if it’s as good as it’s touted to be?” Dawn’s laughter rang through the castle as Sherry turned a delighted somersault and raced through the open door heading to the kitchens.

The Shadowlords Are No More

As told by Michael Wolf: Sunday, September 6 I awoke this morning to find a note from an old friend Ghost Writer. He told me of a great battle he witnessed the previous night when the Crimson Dragons were defeated. He also told me Dawn would be gathering the citizens of Britannia tonight at the Counselors' Hall to mount an attack against the Shadowlords and push this evil out of Britannia once and for all. I arrived at the Counselors' Hall to find a large gathering of citizens all waiting for the arrival of Lady Dawn and Lady Raelyn McKie. Once they arrived, Dawn told us of how she planned to attack the Shadowlords in their own fortress. All present volunteered to help or die trying. We were met at the fortress by a band of Demons which we quickly dispatched while Lady Dawn opened a portal to the depths of the fortress itself. Once inside we were met by an onslaught of Shadowlord Manifestations ... The battle had begun! For what seems like hours we fought, many died and were healed and sent back into battle. We fought in groups, and when overwhelmed and dispersed, we regrouped with other and set up new defenses. The citizens fought bravely and tirelessly against the constant onslaught of the Shadowlords and their minions. Eventually we found ourselves all together in on large group facing down the Last Shadowlord in final battle. Once we defeated him we gathered our fallen and rezzed and healed them ensuring no citizen was left behind. Lady Raelyn McKie opened a gate to the Castle in Britain and away we went to discuss what was to be done about the so called King Casa.  It was a proud night to fight along so many Britannians to defeat the evil that has plagued our land for so long. Origin's Citizens Defeat the Crimson Dragons

As told by Ghost Writer: I received a message from an old friend Sara telling me there may be a fierce battle and asked if I could keep an eye out for news for her as she was currently indisposed. She had told me to check around Empath Abby in Yew, Felucca, on Saturday, September 5, saying that the Lady Dawn had called the citizens of Britannia to arms to fight the Crimson Dragons which have invaded our fair lands. So off I went with quill and scrolls. When I arrived there was already a small army assembled. Dawn and the Dragon Fayaxion told us that the Platinum Dragons had defeated most of the Crimson Dragons but needed our help to rid the lands of the remaining Crimsons. Dawn opened a gate to the center of a great battle and off we went. I died within seconds of arriving through the gate so was no help in defeating the dragons, but did my best to record the battle for the historians of Britannia. The battles were fierce. The Crimson Dragons set of spells which seemed to cause Armageddon. Massive amounts of fire and energy would spread from them damaging anything that dared come near. The warriors with the help of Platinum Dragons stood strong and fought well together never giving in to the Crimsons.  After what seemed like hours, I started to notice the life draining from many of the crimsons, could it be that the warriors of Britannia were finally taking their toll on the mighty Crimson Dragons? Then proof, as I wandered around as a ghost I found a corpse of a Crimson, then another, and another. Then I ran into Lady Dawn who thought it was finally safe for me to come back to life. Which I happily did with her help. After looking around a bit at all the carnage I noticed at least one Crimson left being finished off by a few of our citizens. There were also small battles breaking out among the citizens themselves, now that the Crimsons were dead it seems they decided to fight over the loot. I quietly made my way back to Empath Abby on foot and awaited everyone's return. They all came back with minutes of my arrival and Fayaxion and Lady Dawn told us about plans for another battle yet tomorrow. The brave citizens of Britannia will be called on once more to rid our lands of evil. I will pass this along to my friends, Sara of Baja and Michael Wolf,  as I think tomorrow he be far more able than I. You have defeated the Crimson Dragons. This accomplishment brings you much closer to banishing the evils of King Casca and the Shadowlords from this land. I pride you on your battle skills and cunning plans of attack. Some of my brothers and sisters, though, were not so lucky. Several platinum dragons remain battle-scarred and are wandering frenzied through the woods of Yew, Felucca. They have offered their lives for this cause, and in their honor, I humbly request that you have mercy on their souls and put them out of their misery. They knew of the possibility that this might be their fate. Let them leave this world in peace and with victory in their hearts. I thank you all for your fine work today, and hope you will be well rested as we continue this battle tomorrow. The citizens’ help is needed urgently. “My friends, the time has come to choose your sides. I call on you today to help take back our lands and free them from the evil permeating every corner. For too long our lands and our families have strained under the yoke of a puppet king. We have seen this puppet twist and corrupt the virtues we sought to live by. We have seen evil penetrating our lands and been able only to halt the invasions temporarily. At every turn, the invaders have come back bringing death and destruction with them. While we have stood strong and faced each test, the time has now come to once and for all drive this evil from our lands and reclaim our birthright, our very freedom. The time has come to stand up and say we will uphold the virtues as passed to us from Lord British. The time has come to drive the invaders back to the void from whence they came. I call on all the citizens to stand up and fight! You will not fight alone and the battle will not be easy, but you must each make the choice if you will help rid the lands of the Crimson Dragons and the Shadow Lords – NOW before it is too late and our way of life is lost forever. The Platinum Dragons have vowed to help us in our fight and have sworn to bring the battle to the remaining Crimson Dragons. "R" Hosts Harrower

Origin Shard Harrower Hosted by "R", Organized by Morgaine Wednesday, September 2, 2009 At 5:30pm Pacific, we all started meeting at a house to await word from Morgaine that "R" had popped the Harrower for us. In addition to "R", Lord Gordon [A.V.] and his super she-dragon, Flower, were on hand to help those who had never been to a Harrower. While we waited, Morgaine gave everyone last minute tips and instructions ... Then we received word ... the Harrower had popped in Deceit. We were off to the unknown for many as this was the first Harrower for several in the group. In preparation for this event, "R" had used blues to set up our outer perimeter so we would be able to easily pass thru their fields to where the Harrower was waiting. A few minutes into the battle EM Faine Morgan arrived. Without meaning to, the arrival of EM Faine provided a lot of humor as someone (who shall remain nameless, okay Lord Gordon?) in our group asked ... "Who is that EM Faine Morgan? Is that a new faction? Should I attack?" As the first Harrower started to lose health, the word went out for everyone to pull their pets off once the Harrower was red-lined. When the True Harrower spawned, those new to the harrower were asked to wait out of range of the tentacles of harrower while those with experience killed took over long enough to kill the tentacles. With the tentacles gone, the group reentered the area to drop the Harrower. EM Faine, quite possibly the most exuberant EM in all of UO, cheered the team on. One all the scrolls were gathered, we headed to the dungeon exit, still wondering if our luck on not being raided was going to hold. Luck was with us! We quickly gated to Luna Bank. While we awaited the arrival of the scrolls, EM Faine did some quick health checks to ensure she had not injured anyone with her EM pompoms.  Once the scrolls were delivered to Morgaine at Luna, we went to Nujelm to roll dice for them. The Harrower had dropped eleven +25, two +20, and seven +15 stat scrolls. After the +25's were distributed, there was a dice roll for the 20's. Crystal Canyon [CCC] presented Morgaine with a gift for Caramon. Thank you, Morgaine, everyone from "R", Lord Gordon, and everyone else who helped organize this first ever Origin Harrower event.  It was a great success! Related links: WOOOOOT! WE DID IT! We wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know that we have not forgotten you, nor have we fallen into the Abyss. As you all probably know, as near and dear to our hearts as all of you are, being an EM is not our primary occupation. Unfortunately, at times, our other jobs intrude and things go a bit nuts. This appears to be one of those times. Laurana’s job has been keeping her tied up and I find my job keeping me bouncing from coast to coast currently. This weekend, I’m home long enough to unpack and wash clothes just in time to repack and catch another flight. But, fear not, this too shall pass and we shall be back harassing you unmercifully. *grins* There will be more opportunities to receive a cloak and pie. In addition, we are in the planning stages for the next PvP tournament to hopefully be held later in September along with a few other surprises. In the meantime, if you have any events or suggestions you’d like to pass along, please be sure to use the feedback or event forms here on the website and we’ll read and make every effort to respond as quickly as possible. EMs, Cloaks 'n Pies

Wednesday, August 12, EM Laurana and EM Faine Morgan hosted their first Cloak and Pie event.    The Event Moderators explained how the Cloaks of Silence and Mesanna's Creme Pies would be distributed. Everyone lined up to await their turn to be receive their gifts from the EMs. Ironically, Have Mercy was the first to be tossed from the roof of the Origin Awards House. Outside the house, everyone passed the time by ... what else ... throwing pies at each other! As the evening was ending EM Laurana and EM Faine Morgan told us, 'Keep an eye on the announcements for future cloak handouts.' The EMs also hinted we have not seen the last of Casca when Laurana remarked, 'Let's just say Casca does not have friends in high places.', then went on to ask, 'Who here likes Dawn?' And, with that, the evening was over.

We also want you all to know how very thankful we are to be allowed the great honor and priviledge of being Origin’s Event Moderators. Even when your numbers were small, you never gave up the fight. You defended Luna daily and, when called to arms for the final battle to free Luna, fought with more Valor than anyone could ask of any group. Above and beyond the courage you all displayed, you showed a true courtesy to Dawn and Fayaxion that is seldom seen in today’s world. Words simply cannot convey how our hearts soared to hear of your deeds and your graciousness. We are, therefore, more pleased than you know to tell you that more cloaks have been provided for you. We would like to see all the citizens who make Origin the special place it is receive a cloak. To that end, there will be several opportunities to meet and obtain a cloak. Please keep an eye out for the lanterns in the usual spots as well as the Event Oracle. Saying the word “Cloaks” to her will inform you of the next designated time. At that time, please assemble at the Origin Award House and you will be met and the cloaks dispersed. We will make every effort to put the notice up 24 hours in advance of the next meeting. While I can only investigate at night (that Casca has got the entire town’s militia searching for me!), I can confirm that indeed, footprints have been found in the woods near Dawn’s home. While investigating the mysterious footprints I stumbled upon a stranger in the woods. Although I suspected she was hunting to arrest me, instead she gave me a letter to send to the citizens. It certainly is strange: Good People,  It is with great urgency that I request your attention. Grave danger lurks in the shadows of these lands – evil forces of immeasurable magnitude. It will take more than your swiftest swords, your deftest marksmanship, to defeat these forces. It will take more than the strongest beasts at your command, the most noxious spells from thy palms. You do not know me, but I know you. I have come to help. I seek the one called Dawn and request your assistance in finding her. Time is of the essence, and the future of Britannia may very well rest in the balance. Respectfully, A Stranger to Your Lands After the deceptions we’ve seen from Infel and now Casca, I’m afraid that, although she did me no harm, it is not wise to take this Stranger’s word at face value. That said, she seems to know a bit of our recent hardships. I believe we should meet with this Stranger and seek more information! But, my friends, I cannot come out of hiding now. It is not safe. Please, for the sake of our lives and the lives of our children, investigate this letter and find out who this Stranger is and what she has to say. We are much too vulnerable to decline help in these tumultuous times. The stranger has requested that any who are able meet her behind the Empath Abbey in Yew, Trammel at 2pm Pacific time (3pm Mountain, 4pm Central, 5pm Eastern) on Sunday, August 9th. Thursday, August 6, Casca appeared at Luna Bank to address the citizens of Origin, and the self-proclaimed king was not well-accepted by the crowd. 'My children - Yes, my children - I have a tale to tell you. Once upon a time I rescued this Throne from the clutches of Evil. I brought evil to justice with the imprisonments of the scoundrels Ricardo and Avery. I warned you then that Hatred, Falsehood and Cowardice would not be tolerated in this great Kingdom of ours. Together we buried our friends - Archmage Clainin - and fought on the onslaughts of the Crimson Dragons, and I alone destroyed them! I alone held back the Shadowlords when they would have devoured your lands! These are fantastic feats completed under my Rule. Why then, my children, do you doubt me now? I am here now. Nevermind that you should trust my judgment and honor my rule, regardless of your own opinions. AkasahWStrider reminded Casca he tried to lock up Sherry, to which he retorted, 'Mice are meant to be trapped.' This, my children, is a tale of disrespect and disobedience.  You have seen what happens to those who deceive the Throne. That monk, those girls - Who is next? Is it you? Or you? I treat you like children because you act like children. Where are the few capable of bearing the responsibilities put upon you by the hardships of this land? I chose this grand City of Luna to represent the ideal. Alas, this city is corrupt with the stench of disloyal fools. The Paladins - keepers of Honor - have failed. Do you see what happens when you disgrace the Throne? Look around you! Death and danger loom at each turn because you have lost faith in your King.  Your beloved Luna is covered in the blood of your own people because you continue to disrespect your King. We publish the letter here in it’s entirety for the good citizens of Origin to draw their own conclusions. We have, however, found the following which is a bit disturbing and seems to lend credence to the letter.   A Memo from the Desk of Blanche, Notary to King Casca Citizens of Origin, Our one true Glorious King Casca wishes all to know that he still cares greatly for all of his poeple on Origin. However, it has come to his attention that some of the citizens refuse to honor his noble and worthy rule. This saddens our noble King greatly. As any parent knows, children must be taught proper behavior through sometimes strict discipline. While it breaks our poor King’s heart to have to take a hard stand against his children, he knows that it is for their best and knows too that one day they will come to see the wisdom of his actions and his great love for his children of Origin. Often times, children cannot see the wisdom of their parents decisions until they are grown. But, just as it is not the place of children to question the acts of their parents, it is also not the place of subjects to question the acts and great wisdom of their rulers. There are those who would seek to lead the good citizens astray from their duty to their King. These malcontents must not be tolerated as they set a poor example for the citizens and breed dissension among the population. Our most wise sovereign has therefore declared that the ones known as Donal the Monk, Taryn Sullivan and Raelyn McKae are traitors to the crown and shall be arrested on sight. In addition, the dwelling place of the criminal Dawn has been found and set to fire as befits any enemies of the sovereign ruler of Britannia. The smoldering ashes of her house shall stand testament to the King’s great love for his children and desire to show them the true path of virtuous behavior. It reads as follows: Dear Friends, It is with great worry I write this to you now. Having heard rumors of strange corpses, missives and oni pelts, I felt it my duty to inform Donal and see what he could make of these. While I found no corpses myself, I have it on good authority that they were corpses of Mercenary Messengers hired for their ruthlessness in completing their delivery mission. The question remains, however, what were they delivering? And to whom? Upon finding Donal and explaining all of this to him, he set off to check for himself and gather what evidence he could. I received a message from him a short time later that things are indeed grave and there were whisperings in the wind that bode no good. We must investigate further and I’m begging for your help. Please meet me at Zento Bank on Tuesday, July 14th, at 6:30 P.M. PST/9:30 P.M. EST. Come prepared as there are Disturbing Deviations in the creatures of Tokuno that could spell great danger. Blue Rocket Weds Lady Lil Missy

Lady Lil Missy ["R"] and Blue Rocket ["R"] Exchange Wedding Vows Decorations by Lil Missy and Morgaine   On Wednesday, July 1, at 9:30 p.m. Eastern, friends gathered at the waterfall north of Justice Shrine, Felucca, to witness the celebration of the marriage of Blue Rocket and Lil Missy in the beautifully decorated outdoor setting. Upon arrival guests were greeted by the bride's maid of honor Morgaine ["R"] and the groomsmen, best man Santa Claws ["R"] and William Wallace ["R"] . Lil Missy, attired in sigil purple and white, walked across the bridge to join the waiting Blue Rocket. They then walked up the aisle together. EM Faine Morgan performed the beautiful, time-honored ceremony. After the couple exchanged their vows and rings, Blue Rocket kissed his bride, and EM Faine Morgan presented the newlyweds to the crowd. A reception was held in a private residence immediately following the ceremony: Following the reception, the bride and groom were treated to a harrower by their guild. He felt that humans could live even more prosperous lives combining aspects of both the human principles of Truth, Love, and Courage, and the gargoyle’s principles of Control, Passion, and Diligence. The gargoyles displayed a devotion to task and trade that was lacking in many humans, and though as a monk he felt enlightened himself, he thought it his role to enlighten those deemed capable of integrating these additional principles in their lives. Donal was working on a collection of wisdom called the “Book of Timelessness.” This book represented the gargoyle principles found in the Book of Circles, combined with the human principles. It was a work in progress, containing teachings that would help those familiar with the human principles to explore the gargoyle principles. Many gargoyles were cooperative with Donal’s peacemaking efforts, but some misunderstood the monk’s intentions. Donal has learned from young Raelyn McKie that there is an aggressive gargoyle in the woods. The area surrounding the Abbey is one of a peaceful relationship between the gargoyles and humans, so Donal is confused by the aggression. Mother Clucker Rules The Roost!

Who Rules The Roost Recap There was a light turnout for the chicken fight sponsored by EM Laurana and EM Faine Morgan on Saturday, June 13.  EM Laurana reviewed the contest rules for the three entrants.   Due to the odd number of entries, there was a random number draw for a Bye and automatic advancement to the Second Round. Oriana won the Bye leaving Lady Anarion Seregon's and Sara's chickens to compete in the First Round. Initially the chickens were to be commanded to attack after a magic wall had dropped.  This proved unsuccessful as the chickens would not attack each other upon command, even when guarding their trainers.  After some experimentation and trial and error, it was discovered if while being guarded one player had flagged on the other, then both players attacked each other and then were immediately invised by the EMs, the chickens would battle. HenHouse Guard trained by Anarion Seregon won the first round. Round Two: a greater chicken trained by Oriana proved to be no match for HenHouse Guard. HenHouse Guard won the matches, and prepared to face Mother Clucker again. In the next match, Mother Clucker made a surprising comeback by barely defeating HenHouse Guard at the last moment. The first bracket winner HenHouse Guard and second bracket winner Mother Clucker were then called for the Championship Round. It was another either-chicken-could-win battle! Close to the end of the fight, Mother Clucker again rallied and was declared the winner of the round. Awards for the event were placed at the PvP House and at the Origin Awards Hall and Museum.
