| Undead, and Monks, and Savages! Oh, my! Kijustsu Anei Village, PaxOku City Tuesday, April 26th 2011 By: Merik  Kijustsu Anei Patrol Guard Sarberius greeted Mayor Tatania Karthina of PaxOku at the township border to inform her about the recent break in at the Library of Arcane Knowledge [Previous Release] They believe the Mysterious Savage may be targeting different libraries in the area and inquired about keeping an eye on the famous Silent Rose Library should it be a target. Mayor Tatania of PaxOku appreciated the assistance and requested to be informed about any suspicious activity in city limits. After Mayor Tatania departed Sarberius put in a request to Defense leader Niva the Savage for long distance spyglass lookouts, to be stationed at the Fishing Hall of Fame to keep an eye on the area to respect the border.  Patrols began in the early evening hours with little to report. Things became more interesting as the night progressed and Aryslan guards arrived for equipment pickup to begin patrols. Taurik the soon to be appointed Quartermaster of the Royal Guard began issuing special halberds and filling orders for Mage Halberds for those in need.  Aryslan citizens “Feared” the Undead may take an interest in their presence on the island and their fears came to life. Something or someone must have grabbed the interest of the creatures in the Fallen city west of the Village as Undead began to pour into the street, breaching guard bunkers and building defense lines. Long distance spyglass outlooks spotted what appeared to be savage paint on the outside entryway walls of the Silent Rose Library. Once reported the Village Alert system was activated and Patrol Guards from Aryslan and Kijustsu Anei Village crossed the border into PaxOku to investigate.  Patrol guards searched the area trying to locate her. While searching in the woods East of the Library, Sarberius found an Unconscious Monk lying against a tree and quickly alerted guards to her location for assistance.  Once the monk was able to see clearly he spotted Niva he thrust his staff towards her while demanding she stay back! Niva and Sinthe gave the monk some room as Jamlyn, Sarberius and Enterprise asked a few questions about why he was assaulted and explained the Savages in the area. -Anei -Pax -Gate -Ary  They are unsure if Pax means the PaxLair Statehood or the cities that contain the word Pax. To be on the safe side they have sent the alert to all of the Statehood townships.  Comments From EM Drosselmeyer As for the Mysterious Savage they are a part of the larger storyline. They're also a testing phase we're doing with small "side actions" on Chesapeake. We're seeing how well it works, and the like. The reason it's good for our side is these small things, the little roleplaying interactions require no real setup or anything ahead of time. This is a little testing thing we're seeing how you all enjoy and have fun with it, and so far it looks nice. And it's good for us like I said, because on nights with no real events we can still log on and do things for the shard and townships. We will be doing this for all townships. We will be involving townships more, but you will get out what you put in. The more you work to make townships active and important the more we'll be doing to work with you all. Things like the patrols and the like were a big step towards that which is one of the reasons we went ahead with this now. There will be township invasions but they'll be worked in a different way. They will just be of a different format than what we had before And we will be doing a lot more of a detailed look. Comments and Advice From The Reporter The Patrol Guard: Was started to give a RP reaction to the current invasions in Kijustsu Anei Village. It has grown to become a Join Task Force between Kijustsu Anei Village and Aryslan city with the recent addition of players from Dragons Watch and PaxLair. Each township leads their own forces if they wish or they can put their forces under the command of a current township. How To Join: Each township on the shard is capable of creating their own Patrol Guards to patrols their own townships. Should anyone wish to join the current Patrol Guard simply Icq WildStar 8040775 or Jamlyn 8847047 to get setup or contact them in game. EM Interaction: The Patrol Guard does not have any claim over the current storyline or anything else for that matter. You do not have to join the Patrol Guard to have EM interaction in your township. Read EM Drosselmeyers comment above if you have any questions. Creating A Patrol Guard: To put it plain and simple all we did was make some Halberds, dye them with a metallic dye tub and started walking the streets and asked questions about making a Guard at the Hall of Commons, which alerted the EMs to what we were doing. Showing Respect: It is always wise to contact a township first before beginning patrols. Some townships may want to perform their own Patrols and or may have other storylines going on. So be respectful and simply contact the township leaders. | ||

Just then he shivered. His unnatural bronze skin paled. Something was amiss.The land had just awaken from a harsh winters’ rest. Food had been scarce. More had died than was usual. The elders knew this was a bad omen. If one did not give birth to a new beginning it would be forever lost. Only one female remained to his type and she was very old and like the others very solitary Would Dana survive. She must be hiding. He hoped she was safe. A squirrel eyed him warily. In his human form the squirrel did not truly fear him. Curiosity brought him right up to the man’s hand. He grabbed the acorn and ran. The Man gave a full bellied laugh. He knew the squirrels needed food to replenish their stash after this winter. “I have an adventure for you!” His warm and charming smile made the group listen closely. | Archiving The Seasons (1-9) Mesanna & EM Event Items  I have been given approval from Manticore to use his EVENT ITEM LIST, SEASONS 1-9 to begin Archiving the EM and Mesanna event items with lovely pictures. To Start off I have decided to begin with the Mesanna World Tour Event section. After that I will be going season by season and will need your help to do this. Cutting out each graphic is a pain but trying to find each item in game is a pain as well. The above picture is items I have been able to find so far. If you have a Museum with any Mesanna event items and want to help please post the following information here. DATE: Friday 29th April 2011 The next event in the Britannia Games is a Last Man Standing competition. It will take place at the Arena in the Lost Lands (53o 15'S, 10o 3'E). A gate will be available from the Counselors Hall. Competitors will have to fend off increasingly difficult monsters. The last man, woman, gargoyle or elf standing after each round will be declared the winner. Registration is required for this event, so don't be late! | ||

Author Unknown Recently it was learned that the Good Eats bakery of Britain was using tainted, or poisoned, bread flour that is likely responsible for the strange behavior and crazed activities of many citizens witnessed in Britain over the last few weeks. Jimmy Montfort, a former employee of the bakery, provided this valuable information regarding the bread flour to those individuals who had spent time investigating the source of the crazed mob. Jimmy encouraged concerned individuals to meet the owner of the bakery directly when he returned from vacation. According to the work schedule and roster posted inside the bakery, the owner, Wolfgang Flay, is scheduled to return this Friday. Anyone interested in continuing the investigation of the crazed person epidemic should meet Wolfgang at the following day and time: Date: Friday the 29th of April. Time: 8:00 PM PST / 11:00 PM EST. | Necromancer Issues Plea For Compassion Lindae of Umbra Greetings, fellow inhabitants of Britain. As you are all well aware, the city has recently been afflicted with a plague of madness: a bizarre condition, widespread and possibly contagious, that causes erratic, aggressive behaviour. It is clear that this is a form of mental illness, possibly organic in origin, possibly hysterical, but nevertheless potent and debilitating. It distresses me that in this city, the citizens of which claim Compassion as their founding virtue, those afflicted with this mysterious disorder are being mistreated and abused. On several occasions I have witnessed them being assaulted, beaten, and put to death both by citizens and by the Town Guards.  This is nothing less than cruel. They are still humans and they are worthy of treatment as such. Threatening though their behaviour may seem, they possess no greater strength than the average man, and are easy to subdue non-violently; why, then, are they subjected to such brutality when the humane thing to do would be to quarantine them until the cause and cure for this sickness is found? I do not blame the guards of Britain for returning violence with violence, but I feel that some restraint on their behalf is required. These diseased men and women remain citizens of Britannia, and they deserve sympathy and assistance, not cruelty. Next time you encounter a crazed person, whether you be a guardsman or a bystander, please consider their rights as a human being before you act, and endeavour to treat them only with compassion.  | ||

| The Easter Event will be running until May 7th, so you have plenty of time to solve the puzzles and grab the goods! Rabbits. Dragons. Chickens. What do all these things have in common? They all have something to do with this year's elaborate Easter shenanigans! The event crier near the Luna moongate was spouting news about a dragon in Destard in need of assistance. As was expected, people went to assist! Once they finished, they left with Dragon Easter Eggs and Ancient Oak Bonsai trees.
The rabbit is difficult to see because it is such a camouflaged creature. However, it is in fact the Easter Bunny! It was the perpetrator at the Dragon's nest, but only wanted to dye the eggs. And of course, the bunny hid the eggs. You can find them, they're throughout Britannia's cities and dungeons. However, the bunny also dropped its paints, and says it will tell you a secret if you find them. Go, wander throughout the realm and see if you can find them! There are clues lying about where the bunny had been as to where you might locate the items. Find the paints, and find the eggs. Record what you find.

| Skara Brae Spring Faire - Looking For A Few Good Organizers EMSeppo  Hail, Good Citizens of Baja! We are due for another Bazaar at the Faire Grounds in Skara Brae. It was originally planned to be done during the month of April, but I decided to push it back to the weekend of May 27-29. The reason for this was largely because I wanted to make sure that enough time was spent towards planning it. To all of us who play on Baja, we know it to be a close-knit community. The past bazaars have been able to successfully showcase this because this concept was developed as an event where players and EM’s work together. A hybrid of an EM and player event, if you may. Players have always helped with the past bazaars, such as WildStar, Sara, Oriana, Jinx, Lil Debi, Toni Fierce, Bucko, Xel, Nicholas, Magdalena, and many others. This time around, I would like to take one step further by involving the community even more directly. The idea is to have an organizing committee consisting of players who are willing to put in the time and effort to work with me to execute an exciting bazaar. If you are interested in playing a role, then please send me an email via the feedback link (and include your contact email, as well). Everyone is welcome to help, but it comes with a fair amount of responsibility. The plan is to have several in-game meetings to hammer out all of the details before May 18th. | Crystallized Strongholds Alpha - Delta The City of Kijustsu Anei Village Monday, April 25th 2011 By: Merik Within the City of Kijustsu Anei Village lies four strongholds which secures four known Mystical Crystallized Liquid objects. These mystical objects are used to destroy the Nematic Phylactery which have been devastating townships throughout the realm. Strongholds: Alpha & Beta   Strongholds: Charlie & Delta   Guard Patrols will be continuing with the combined forces of the Village and Aryslan Militias working together to keep these objects from the hands of Kenndrick Marrow and any other beings or creatures wishing to destroy or steal them. While patrolling strongholds please do so with caution in Stronghold Beta. Mages are currently attempting to exact energy from the Crystallized Liquid. Minor explosions and essences have been recorded coming from the area. Anyone and everyone from all townships or mercenary groups are welcome to join the new Guard Patrol task force. Patrol Guards can be recognized by the Halberd they carry with a unique Hue. (The use of Halberds is so RP characters and EMs know if patrols are happening.)  Patrol Guards are requested to respect the township borderline of PaxOku City and Kijustsu Anei Village. Authorization for official patrols of the PaxOku area can only be given by Mayor Tatania Karthina and Governor Winfield of the PaxLair Statehood. Should an invasion occur the Patrol Guards have been given permission to enter the borders of PaxOku City to defend by the Mayors office of PaxOku City. Patrol Guard forces are forbidden from building or maintaining any defense structures or guard posts within or on the border of PaxOku without proper consent of the PaxOku Mayors Office or the PaxLair Statehood Governors Office.  Patrol Guards should also be on the look out for a Mysterious Savage. Village Defense Leader Niva the Savage has informed us that this Savage is not part of the Tonkaweya Tribe. The Savage has already broken into the Library of Arcane Knowledge in the Britannia Mage Tower and has been seen slaughtering Monks in the area. The Savage can be identified by the Tribal Mask she wears which has Painted Eyes All Over it. Her intentions are unknown as well as who she is working for. From current eye witness reports this Savage may be targeting different Libraries and we ask that all Patrol Guards keep an eye on the Silent Rose Library,in PaxOku while patrolling the township border. | Enchanted Library Quest Underway! The realm recieved a welcome message along the skypages this week as EM's Dudley and Drosselmeyer set in motion the Enchanted Library Quest: "Lycaeum elders were abuzz with the announcement of a new Archivist joining their scholarly ranks. The Archivists are already at work perusing the many volumes held by the Lycaeum and are anxious to make their next breakthrough. The Archivists will be available to the public daily. This is the start of the Enchanted Library Static event. You may start the event by visiting the Lycaeum in Moonglow. You may complete the event either in Trammel or Felucca. To clarify, the event is independent of the other facet, meaning they are exactly the same for both and you do not need to go between the two to solve the quest. The reward is the same on both facets and can be completed at any time. The event will be live until approximately May 9th, 2011. Have fun and enjoy! __________________ Stay toon'd!" Since then the quests trail and the realm have been in a beanstalk bonzai bonanza! Saturdays eve began the event with the Lycaeum heavily trafficed as adventurers feverishly worked to figure out clues to lead to the next location! Those lucky enough to figure out the various clues found thier way to the Telescope along Moonglows eastern shores speaking a magical word wisking them deeper into the fold. Some even found frustration, Laird still sits atop the roof deciding his own fate.   Speaking the mantra of "villax" spiraled players inside the Library itself. It surely seemed to live up to its name. With flora all about and rows and rows of books to be read it truly looked as if one could throw themselves right into a story herein.     Taking it all in along the way one eventually finds the tale of "Jack and the Beanstalk" amid a shower of light and sparks in the libraries east end. Turning the books pages, one indeed becomes emersed inside the libraries first offering.   Finding the stalk area north of the great city of Britian, brave souls climbed and climbed risking life and limb to reach the peaks of the clouds where two enslaved captives greeted arrivals amid a giant Ice Cream Sundae that would make the goblins a bit jealous!     Speaking to the enslaved creatures shed light upon the origins of Easters gifts, answering thier questions however brought varied results! Answering improperly resulted in expulsion from the skys and the long climb began again! Arriving with the correct response led weary travelers to end of the trail. One path from the Dryad brought flora to the masses in the form of Giant Oak Bonzai's and the Drake ensured we needed no visit from the bunny as adventurers took home their very own Dragon Easter Egg!   We even ran into EM Drosselmeyer performing a bit of routine maitenance for the quest. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, he hoped everyone would get the chance to experience the quest for thier own.  He went on to describe that Felucca was slightly different than Trammel and for us not to forget to visit there also! | Museum Review: Jinx & Sara's Museum on Baja |

 Which item means the most to you and which one is your personal favorite? The item that means the most to me, is my singing ball. It was given to me as a wedding gift from Sara on June 6th 2009, the day we were married in game by EM Seppo. Another favorite item of mine is a Blaze Cake which reads: “To the sweetest couple, Congrats to Sara and Jinx, June 6th 2010” This was a gift from Mesanna to Sara and I, to honor the day that we became engaged in real life. Both of these items mean the world to me.  Do any of the items on display have any special abilities? I have a couple of items that shoot flamestrikes when clicked, a sketch by micheal of moonglow, and the Demonic Crisis Vanquisher Statue. I also have a highly charged warning flare on the porch of my house. It’s the little purple bottle, on the Abyss house teleporter.  Seeing as you have collected many unique and some priceless items which item would you say was your best deal? I would have to say the items, that I receive from events are always the best deal. Also the help of others, I wouldn’t have all of these items, without the help of good friends, family and guild mates.  While looking through the displays I noticed you have a good number of Yattering event items. Do you normally help preserve the Baja Shards history? I try to help preserve the history of Baja, I have many Baja event items, including lots of unique ones. Still looking for 1 or 2 of the Baja Easter eggs from a few years back. I have had people donate Baja event items, so that everyone will be able to enjoy them.  You know as well as I do that a collectors job is never complete. Always that one item that got away, are there any items you just wish you could put on display at your museum? I would love to have the void rock spinning on the front porch of my Luna house, That sure would get some peoples attention!   I’ve heard that being in the Rares business is like playing the stock market. One day something is worth 85million gold and the next day its worth about 50gold. Have you had items that were worth hundreds of millions that became worthless the next day and what made it worthless? Nothing on a major scale, server birth tarot cards etc when doom came out. I did purchase a neon leather dye tub for 350 mil about two weeks before ea decided to “fix” them. It’s not worthless now, it’s just stuck on neon blue. I knew the risk involved, so I am not by any means upset about it.  Continuing on the subject of prices let’s talk about pricing EM Event Items. I have seen EM items range from 2million to 300million, exactly what factors into the pricing of an EM Event item? Desirability, it all depends on how cool the item is, and how many people want it. Previously unused graphics, with strange colors, and good names, are what really makes an item worth lots of gold.  The Rares Community has seen its share of shady in game brokers and scammers throughout the years running big time heists. Seeing as you are well respected and trusted in the Rares Community would you being willing to share a few names with us? Not sure I am comfortable naming any names, as I haven’t had the pleasure of catching any scammers lately. People need to learn to be extra careful when dealing with others in regards to rares or any high-end items. It never hurts to be cautious and check and double check, before buying something. Nightfall, the land is still; the creatures that roam here hide in their dwellings, afraid to show their faces to the moonless night. No star dare shine a friendly face here, hidden by the heavy shrine of nights cover. He moved with speed, he moved with agility, he moved with strength. His arms and legs were thick and banded with muscles like steel. His eyes glowing red with intensity that pierced thru the darkest places and into the darkest souls. He could hear every sound for miles echoing in his head like a cacophony of song. He could smell their blood, their flesh and it called to him. This was no man, nor animal, thy name is Lycan.  Quote:
Lycanthropes aren’t just Werewolves?  Lycanthropes, while predominantly Wolf in variety are not limited to only Wolves. A common mistake that people make is assuming that Lycan means werewolf. While the word does have the roots meaning wolf as said above, it actually is used commonly as a general term for all Lycan species, be they cheetah, bear, or even raven. So when deciding to play a lycanthrope give special thought to the type of animal you wish to play, as it is not limited to only wolf. To bite or not to bite, that is the question.  There are alternating theories on what makes a Lycan. In ancient times, they were superstitiously believed to be a form of magic, purported by witches and wizards. People that were accused of such were put to death. A second commonly accepted belief, centers around a form of curse or disease, transferred by the Lycan’s bite. The disease then takes over the beings blood converting what was once human into a mutated form. Once bitten, it is often times believed, there is no going back, and no cure exists, although in some lore it does allow a three day window for reversal. Sometimes becoming a Lycan is viewed by some as a gift to only be bestowed upon the worthy.  (art by Luis Royo) The Moon, the Myths and Legends. There is much lore, and many movies surrounding the different weaknesses and abilities of the Lycan. Surprisingly, the Moons power to transform a Lycan is a much more modern movie lore and not as prevalent in the beginning tales of Lycanthropy. One thing to take into consideration when considering whether to role-play a Lycan is the game you are role-playing it in. I always stress weaving ultima into your role-play. We must consider the fact that Sosarian time is not the same as our earth time several days of Sosarian time to just one earth day This would mean that it is conceivable that the moon would appear and reappear several times in one earth day thusly making it more difficult role-play wise to follow. While it is not mpossible to do, as you can ignore this factor, again this is your own personal preference. You must also consider where in Sosaria you live. Malas is known to have no moon nor sun. Thusly if your Lycan lived in Malas this to may factor into your Lycans moon based transformations. A common alternative in lore and role-play to the moons dictation of transformation are transformations based on to much emotional duress, good or bad. Emotional transformations deal more with the highly wild side of Lycans and emotions like rage causing a full transformation. This adds some fun in trying to keep ones emotions on an even keel, not even allowing high spikes of pleasure or anger. However again, neither way is wrong, whether you role-play you are transformed by the moon or by an inability to control your emotions. It is up to the Lycan at hand.  A Few Weaknesses Found in Lore Possibly , the funnest, and most important part of playing a Lycan revolves around their weaknesses. Due to the incredible strengths that Lycans possess, they must also be balanced by quite a few weaknesses. Often times, the number one weakness for a Lycan is something that many don’t give thought to, their wild side. Lycans can be to bold, to confident in their healing powers and unable to control themselves. They often attempt to take on more than they can possibly manage, sustaining injuries that even their superb regenerative powers cannot keep up with. There are some things, like beheading, that that could destroy a Lycan. Silver often like in movies is portrayed in its ability to seriously injure or kill a Lycan as well as vampires. Another more herbal substance is wolfs bane as it is believed to slow down the Lycans ability to heal thusly slowing down their regenerative abilities. Keep in mind that normally in Lycan lore it has had to be more than a simple slash or cut via silver dagger or wolfsbane laced weapon. Aiming for the heart or neck, a more deadly shot, to bring them down. (For all you Lycan hunters out there.) And of course the Strengths… Lycans contain an incredible amount of Strength. Between a vampire and a Lycan, it is commonly accepted that while the vampire has great powers of mental manipulation, that Lycans exude a wild and pure strength that out matches vampires. Always keep in mind though, the age of the Vampire vs. the age of the Lycan, or any other creature that a Lycan is dealing with. Roleplay is often a case by case basis with no guideline fitting into every situation. Lycans are also known to be highly flexible, and have supernatural hearing and vision. The regenerative powers of a Lycan are also renowned in their ability to heal at unheard of rates. Often times, their wounds seal away in just mere seconds. This also makes them unsusceptible to Illness usually. A few things to remember: Each Lycan clan has its own unique rules and role-play, often centering on the Lycanthrope who plays the alpha male, the leader of the clan. In ultima not much is given for the Lore or understanding of Lycans as only a few references and one very easy quest is given in reference to them. Misericord, a wolf slayer (keep in mind not all lycans are wolves) is handed out by a man in the Lycaeum. (The quest is called gentle blade.) However, while underscoring that there are lycans in ultima, this leaves much up to personal interpretation in role-play allowing you to play a lycan as you feel fits best within Sosaria.  Drachenfels Easter Event. Step by Step Do not read further if you do not want to be spoiled! I mean it! STOP reading! Step 1: Step in moongate at Luna bank.  Step 2: Read the signs and take them serious!   Step 3: Run trough the fire!  Step 4: Get resurrected at the Statue.  Step 5: Click the 7th chess piece counting from the top.  Step 6: Run to the Northwest part of the closed area to teleport to next area!  Step 7: Sing the trees song or just say tree.  Step 8: Go trough the wooden doors maze.  Step 9: Take the teleporter.  Step 10: Click the Ancient Bonsai to get a Bonsai as a reward.  Step 11: Click on the reaper tree or say exit to go back to the entrance. Better go back to Luna and drop of your reward and come back. Then repeat the first 6 steps to so sing the song before the dragon or just say egg. Step 12: Go trough the metal door maze.  Step 13: Take the Teleporter.  Step 14: Click on the light blue egg to get a dragon egg as a reward.  Step 15: Time to say exit and take your rewards home.  You can dye your egg any color you like with a normal dye tub.  A black dye and special tub works too.  Can do this one time on each facet a character. Enjoy! | ||

It definitely was time to bury Farley! Miri had rebuked that it was a travesty that the body had been left so long. Rei just held his nose. His body had bloated and little buzzards circled around it. Although the smell was unbearable we still needed to find some clue as to what happened.  His riding crop had been picked up and his body had been moved again. With his new position, Miri pointed out the blood stained tines of a pitchfork that had previously been obscured by Farley’s small body.  Queen Elf Sandy took a closer look. “Yes, this is Farley’s blood” She confirmed. While PSYCHO had agreed he also pointed out that a blow to the head could have been the method. He picked up Farley’s riding helm and showed everyone the large dent in the side. Forrest was thoughtful. “I am telling you it is the stable hand.” He snapped his fingers. “What’s his name? Ah yes Colt” Daniel agreed that there was a possibility but we needed motive still. Surely Harold must have seen something. So we trudged over the muddy track and found Harold.  As we approached, Queen Mum commented that the sleazy bookie was missing. I turned around and looked. Sure enough he was gone. Maybe Harold knew where he was.  Harold was his usual slightly egocentric self. We asked him a few questions but he was reluctant to say anything he had not already told us. He seemed to think either Xarra of Tara knew something as they were very close to the late Farley. We decided to speak with both of them. Tara had last been seen in Jhelom at the farm. She had been sitting in the shade of a small hut. When we arrived there Tara was missing. This seemed a bit suspicious. Did she run off? Was she abducted? Maybe she knew too much. We looked to see if there had been any struggle when someone noticed her Diary. “Read it” Said Daniel. He grinned “after all we are learning to be spies and she will never know.” Oh the thought of reading another’s Diary made me anxious. I wanted to. I was curious. But a nagging feeling kept telling me it was wrong. I opened the book. March 10 Dear Diary During my riding session with Farley in the paddock today, he mentioned that Colt Walker had a crush on me. Well that was not surprising. We both are very good with animals. Colt is very gentle and cares tenderly. That was not the most amazing thing he told me. He let slip that Marrianne has been lacing sugar with some Alchemy then feeding them to the horses before the races. This arcane sugar cube makes the horses run like the wind. So you see dear diary it has nothing to do with Farley’s horsemanship. Min really is the better equestrian. Still, even though he isn’t the world’s foremost jockey, our time riding together has been most pleasant. I will miss him when he leaves for Tokuno. There were other entries as well talking about our investigation.      Daniel was shocked. “Marrianne lacing Sugar cubes?” Miri and Rei decided we should go talk to Marrianne and Colt. They had some explaining to do. Everyone wanted to know more about these sugar cubes. We head back toward the blacksmith in Brit knowing Colt was usually near the paddock. As we approached we heard a loud scream. “HELP PLEASE HELP ME!” It was Colt and he sounded terrified. Marrianne forgotten we rushed to the paddock. A tall dark Stallion was rearing up and Colt could not get it under control. Another skittish horse was running wildly around and around. Two more were fighting each other in the corner. We grabbed our weapons and prepared a few spells and jumped over the wooden fence.  “I can not control them cried Colt. “ I wish Tara were here. Oh no that is Lil Mins horse and her father’s is that one. How will I tell her?”  Kali, Jade and Immy tried to speak to the horses but when that failed and the horse bucked at them, they had no choice. A battle was on. Hatshepsut, Charly don’t Surf and Vitamin did not want the horses too close. They struck at them with their unique magic. Clym’s trusted pet ran into the fray as well. He was not going to lose Clym this time.  Moxxi and Nora lured one away on its own. They tried hard to subdue it but it was futile. The horse seemed to be spitting fire. The rage in its eyes put fear in my heart. I was not a fighter. I was learning to be as the shadows, a safer place than this fight. Moxxi and Princess Poison came to my aide and took care of the frenzied beast.  Colt looked sad. “My horses… well not mine… they are Min’s, Marianne’s, oh and that one was Farley’s. They got into that bag over there. Then I just could not control them. “Why, why, why” Colt said over and over. What would cause them to act like this?” Clym frowned, “Maybe the sugar cubes you feed them?”  “Yeah Potion enhanced sugar cubes”, remarked PHYCHO. “Call a horse coroner!” demanded Clym. There were eight horses in all. Someone pulled out his skinning knife. I cringed. Forrest said, “We might be able to see if they have eaten any sugar or if they have been poisoned by looking into them. Bear with it for a bit.” Sure enough sugar cubes like the ones we had spotted on the ground were in there stomachs. Rei had enough. “You killed Farley!” Moxxi agreed “Turn Yourself in!”  “I have told you I do not feed the horses sugar. We should let Marrianne know. She was at the blacksmith taking care of her account” stated Colt. Rei did not want to let Colt out of his sight but figured if he was with us he would not get away. Since it was close everyone walked up to the Blacksmith. Marrianne was just coming out the door when we arrived. She looked at us and extended her hand. We spoke to here but she did not seem to know anything that we had not already heard from her.  Ku’uipo decided to take a different approach. ” Your Horses are all dead. They ate bad sugar did you know that?” Marrianne’s eyes widened. “I… I… I Knew about the sugar. Farley and I used it to get out of debt. My Horses are dead! I am ruined!”  Colt looked totally disgusted. He shook his head. “I was loyal to you! I can never trust you again! Come someone must tell Lil Min. She will be devastated. Who among us is brave enough to tell her?” Moxxi frowned and shook his head. “Not me” said Charly don’t Surf. “Clym will do it” volunteered Miri. “He is the oldest.”  “Last I saw her she said she was going to the vet in Brit. Said she trusted him more than ours.” We all walked into Brit and head toward the vet. Sure enough L’il Min was at the entrance to the clinic. A sugar cube was at her feet.  “Hello Min, said several of the group. Sad news, your horse died. It was strung out on Sugar!” Min stared off into space in a daze. “Why are you here Min?” Colt asked in a soothing voice. She turned to him and sniffed, “My Horse. He was wild. Then I saw some strange sugar cubes on the ground. I picked one up and came here. No one would give a thoroughbred sugar. When the horses ate them they got surely. Tara was not around to quiet them. I can not believe Marrianne allowed this.”  Colt said something in Mins ear then turned to the group. I have yet to see Farley. I think it is time he was buried. Min needs to go to the Inn and have some tea.  The group all agreed to go back to Farley and bring him to the graveyard. When they arrived Forrest pointed to the pitchfork. “Colt, isn’t that your pitchfork?”  Colt looked at the pitchfork he still held in his hand. “This here in my hand is my pitchfork. Although, that pitchfork does look a lot like mine. It must be from the same Tinker’s shop.” “Let’s take him to the cemtery. T’aint ever bin to a cemtery afore. Lead the way. Farley was my acquaintance. I will carry him.”  At the cemetery, Colt took charge.  He sought out the grave digger and grounds keeper. Forrest and Ku’uipo each grabbed a shovel and helped dig. No one knew Farley well so the eulogy consisted of “Poor Farley. Hims bin dead so long. He is sure ripe now.” Before long Farley was gone. Colt headed to Brit to console L’il Min.  It was at this time that Daniel decided we should talk to our last few suspects. Although it seemed to me that Marrianne might be the perpetrator, Daniel reminded us we needed all the evidence.  Without Tara to speak with, we decided to talk to Xarra. We were sure she would be in Trinsic.  Someone reminded us that she had said something about going to the Theater and long gloves. Queen Mum remembered that there was a small stage near the Trinsic dock so we all head down. Xarra sat on a bench near the front of the stage. She looked up and raised her brows.  Sighing deeply she said, “Hello everyone. I have a date with Cayne tonight. Yes he is in the play at the theater tonight. He is perfect to play Farley. He is very charming. Marrianne does not think he is but what does she know she married an old stodgy. Marrianne is just a gold digger. Oh I know some people think I am but it is not my fault men give me things. Please the show will start soon. Go talk to Farriot. He knows Marrianne better than I do. Off you go.” With that we had been dismissed. We did find out one thing though. The bookie Cayne was rehearsing for a show about Farley and hitting on Farley’s old girlfriend. Lord Farriot was about to mount his horse, a fine Stallion. Not a retired race horse. He waved to us and in a very cheery tone bid us hello.  “Oh Hi!! you here for another fox hunt? I used to hunt with Farley. I miss it. Yes we were friends. About time you figured it out. You have to gather the right evidence. You know Lil Min really had a crush on him. But who would take her seriously. Jaqui never would go foxing with me.” Julie asked “Do you know anything about the sugar?” Lord Farriot seemed confused “What about sugar? I do not feed the thoroughbreds ask Colt. You know if Farley knew about the sugar, maybe he was blackmailing Marrianne. Oh I would not put it past Farley to stoop to extortion.” There were a lot of possibilities so we head back to the RBG hall to debate the possible motives and accessibility. It was a long night.  After some brief discussion of what was discovered and how things were tying together Queen Elf Sandy pointed out an obvious yet overlooked perspective … there were no female friends of Farley around the battle in the horse pen …. Possibly a big lead into who actually slew the champion!  Daniel then informed us that we would have some extra time to gather more information before meeting with him again...  and with that he bid us all goodnight as we slowly went to our home to ponder the clues before us and get some well needed rest. ~ Shadow Riter  | ||

 I want to wish everyone a very happy spring, at the very least. Personally, I love spring and spring deco in and out of game. I love rabbits so obviously Easter is fun to me.. So I figured I'd share a few in game deco ideas that I've used myself or found by others.  This is my idea for Spring/Easter deco this year. Hidden battle chicken eggs in pastel colors instead of the colored eggs from Vorpal Bunnys. | . Dragon Easter Eggs ?  * Lady Lava in the rooftop garden of her Luna Manse * Eggs have long been a symbol of birth and rebirth. With Easter right around the corner colored eggs are in high demand. The oldest tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with confectionery such as jelly beans. There is a rumor spreading far and wide that this Easter we will have Dragon Eggs added to the list of holiday decor in the realm. Will these eggs be huge? Will they crack and spring forth dragons ? If this rumor is indeed true I will need a huge dye tub for sure. | A Warning: The Good Eats Bakery in Britain Author Unknown Guardsman Leonidas, and the old woman known only as Grandma, approached the Cat’s Lair tavern where Corporal Brackus was waiting impatiently after having made a desperate plea with citizens earlier that evening to scour the town of Britain in search for clues to the origin of the crazed townsfolk that had appeared in town nearly a month ago. Brackus was clearly frustrated at the guards’ inability to uncover the mystery behind the crazies. Inquiries by the guards turned up little. It seemed as if many citizens and shop keepers in Britain were being tight-lipped about the situation, possibly due to the vague rumors of Town Guards using excessive force of late while performing their duties. Tonight however, a small group of citizens gathered together and pledged their help; Wildstar, Alucarld, Silmwaren, Sister Francis, Grandma, and others. To date, the only clues so far were a direct result of guardsman Leonidas and tavern manager, Tirion Mograine of the Cat’s Lair tavern, who noted that they both found half-eaten loaves of bread on all the madmen and madwomen they had encountered the last weeks. Leonidas saluted as he approached, “We found a lead Corporal. Our theory about the half-eaten pieces of bread was solidified this evening after searching the town and speaking with various shopkeepers.” Brackus’ eyes widened slightly as he rubbed his chin with the tip of his ndex finger and thumb, as if absorbing the news. “Corporal?”, guardsman Leonidas continued, “Did you hear what I just said?” Brackus answered with a simple, “Eh?” The old woman, known only as Grandma, walked right in front of Brackus and shook her walking stick at him, saying, “Ye need muh hearin’ aide sonny? Ain’t ye payin’ attention? The boy Jimmy Montfort… He’s a lowly cook at the Good Eats Bakery see? He be skeered outtin his britches. Lad weren’t tell us much of anything, his knees all shaking and buckling on thinking he be losing his job if he squeals.” Leonidas nodded his agreement and continued, “She’s right Corporal. Jimmy wouldn’t tell us anything else unless we could get him a new job, cause he figured he might get fired if he blabbed about his gold-pinching boss. So we went to the nearby taverns and found him new employment at the Unicorn’s Horn!” “Weren’t hardly as simple as that, sonny!” Grandma interjected. “First we had to do that hunky bouncer a favor to git the boy a job at the Unicorn’s Horn see? Had to go fight them thar Brigands and git his stolen liquor delivery back” Grandma nodded repeatedly as if to add emphasis to her detailed report. “Stolen Liquor?” replied Corporal Brackus. Guardsman Leonidas answered, “Right. The tavern manager at the Unicorn’s Horn, Henry Jekyll, said that if he was going to do us a favor by signing a new employment contract for Jimmy Montfort of the Good Eats, then we had to do him a favor first. Luckily for us, when we arrived at the suspected Brigand hide-out, most of those brigands were either half-asleep or half-drunk! So myself, Grandma, Alucarld, and Silmwaren were able to retrieve the stolen goods without much trouble at all.” “You paying attention, sonny?” Grandma pointed her finger at Corporal Brackus, “Ain’t so difficult to follow. I think I see light shining ‘tween your ears! Once we returned the stolen liquor to the Unicorn’s Horn, ole’ Henry Jekyll penned us a signed contract - which we gives to that thar skeered boy Jimmy at the Good Eats.” Leonidas concurred, “… just like Grandma here says. Once we returned to the Good Eats and told Jimmy we found him new employment and had a guaranteed contract as Head Cook at the Unicorn’s Horn, Jimmy told us everything!” Grandma interjected, “Lad said all those crazies be former patrons of his at that thar bakery. Fancy that, mmm? After we twists the lads arm, he says that his boss be trying to save himself coin. Done got himself a new supplier for his flour! Flour must be poisoned, tainted, or be lacking in cod liver oils. Cod liver always be good fer what’er ails ye.” Brackus rubbed the back of his neck trying to digest the first-hand report. He was certainly glad that, where the guards had previously failed in gaining insight to the source of the crazies, citizens and guards united were able to unearth an instrumental clue to putting an eventual end to this madness of the crazies. His thoughts drifted to immediately contacting city officials, or the Baker’s Guild, about the incident with the Good Eats Bakery. Perhaps city officials would post a general health warning to all patrons of the Good Eats outside the shop; cautioning citizens about the danger of eating anything containing flour from the town’s only bakery. His thoughts were interrupted by the sharp pain in his leg as the old woman swung her walking stick to gain his attention again. “Jimmy says the owner of the Good Eats be gone on vacation right now. Says he’ll be back in ‘bout a week.”, Grandma added as Brackus reached down and started rubbing his shin. “Now… I want to know one more thing. Where is that dadburn quilting bee at?” “There was no such event schedule this evening, Grandma. I think you must, uh, er… be confused”, Brackus retorted while still rubbing his shin. Leonidas watched the old woman leave while muttering about inept town guards in her wake. He turned once again to Brackus and said, “When the owner of the Good Eats bakery return to Britain, I guess we will have a few questions to ask regarding his new supplier of flour, right Corporal? If we can determine where this flour originated from, the source, it should lead us right to whoever is behind this despicable act of madness.” “Good work tonight, guardsman Leonidas. We must be thankful for those citizens who volunteered their services this evening.” Brackus was obviously pleased with the newfound revelations regarding the crazed townsfolk. “You will provide a detailed report of what transpired tonight. Have it written in the guard logbooks by first light tomorrow. That is all. You are dismissed.” Leonidas saluted and returned to his patrols near the First Bank of Britain, keeping a watchful eye for any crazies stirring up trouble before he was to be relieved from duty for the rest of the night. | ||

Spring Festival 2011  Friday, April 15 Hosted by both YEW and TWT, under the banner of the alliance "A Sosarian Empire", this past weekend we attended the Spring Festival Friday evening and all day Saturday. From Sunwolf of YEW: Quote:
 The marksmanship competitions were enjoyed by all in attendance. Although I doubted the wisdom of serving such potent wine to people armed with sharp pointy things, no one was injured or killed during the festivities. Suprisingly few steps were blocked with passed out revellers.  I arrived in time to see many prominent citizens from Yew's glory days in attendance. A few of us who had not been to Dawn's Graveside went to pay our respects. Thankfully only one child was bitten at the Undead Petting Zoo. A fun evening for those in attendance. I particularily enjoyed Draken's Triva of Old Yew Guilds. I grew up in Yew and have many fond memories of my youthful days there. Well done & thank you, People of YEW. Spring Festival 2011 Saturday, April 16 Saturday's events started promptly at 1:00 pm EST. We arrived at Sinful Candie's Vendor Emporium expecting something special. An Event gate had graciously been set up by EM Bennu. Our Hostess guided us through a tastefully decorated garden to the roof to take our first look at VIRTUE LAND.  "Virtue Land"       VIRTUE LAND is a real working board game that is creatively unique and lots of fun to play. Roll the dice and navigate your way around the board trying to avoid poor rolls and pitfalls. Lady Sinful Candie is graciously leaving it up for awhile. I highly recommend gathering a bunch of friends to go play it before its gone. A truely original event that was very enjoyable. The Virtue Land Game Winners were: 1st Game - MM 2nd Game - Corinthian 3rd Game - KA "The Kissing Booth"  "Retro Duel" Many brave wizards and warriors came to enter an old fashion retro duel and battled it out in the mage or warrior division. Rules were very basic in this event with skills being your primary ally just like the old days. The Retro Duel Winners were: 1st - Acheron 2nd - Gotter 3rd - Demon  We didn't quite have enough participants for a separate male/female division so we opened it up to different species. The judging panel included Tabitha of TWT, Isk of Magincia and myself. It is hard to be impartial when there is a yummy set of chicken legs involved. The Sexiest Legs Contest Winners were: 1st - Southern Devil 2nd - Lanarayla 3rd - Semmerset       "Tinker Box Game" This Game although fairly simple was a great deal of fun. Participants paid an entry fee and were let out into the Tinkered boxes to select which box they would like to risk opening. Some Boxes held an explosive surprise and some held prizes of "lesser value". The "lesser value" prizes were the most fun. I had the pleasure of winning a "Start Your Own Dance Studio Guide and Suit as well as a Fire Elemental Costume pictured below. Congrats to the creative mind that thought these prizes up. You had us laughing in the isles.     "Spring Festival Conclusions" What an amazing amount of work put forward from the folks of YEW and TWT. I look forward to attending next years Festival although I have a hard time imagining how your group is going to top the effort of your members and the fun that your guests had. Not since Xanthyrella's famous Wintermoor events have I personally attended an event that was as well done and entertaining.     If you could not attend this past weekend, I urge you to go look at the TWT Event House, such is the intricate work done by Sinful Candie. The Runebook is still on the steps of Goodman's Makuto and is worth the trip. Thank you to YEW and TWT for the fabulous fun filled Spring Festival 2011 | ||

| The night was full of joy and merriment as PAS began the celebration of their 13th anniversary on Sonoma. The night began at the crafters hall near Luna. The band of celebrants came in costume, ready to show their regalia to the Luna dwellers. We began our parade at the west entrance to Luna City. Fireworks were blazing as the group made their way along the Luna roads. Chalnoth had many goodies to drop along the way and soon the streets were lined with gold coins and other treasures. The parade culminated with a gathering of the PAS members in the Luna bank. "PAS ROCKS SONOMA" was the cry as more gifts were placed within the bank walls for the eager onlookers. Soon a gate appeared which led to a large ship. The ship was laden with excited travelers for we were on our way to the Corgul hunt. We sailed a short voyage and soon were met by creatures surrounding the island. Quick action was demanded as the skillful hunters defeated the bone mages and skeletons. Soon we were all able to disembark and fight the first round of creatures that attacked our merry band. Energy vortices were abundant and the warriors led the way to the larger monsters. They fought their way to the first Corgul. Rune Beetles and warriors valiantly fought. Spawns came fast and furious but were no match for the skillful hunters. As the Corgul was defeated, the spawns came again but the force of our numbers was too much for this island of monsters. The battle raged for several minutes and the skillful hunters met another challenge. After our victory, we made it back to the ship and began our trip home. It was announced that there would be a roll for the prizes at the crafter's hall. Chalnoth and Violet Jo organized the lottery for the weary fighters. We all sat quietly in the hall awaiting our prize and the roll of the die began. Each member of this troop stepped up to cast their die. Devlin Darkmoor won the roll and was first to claim his prize. The rest followed as each member gratefully accepted a prize for their victory. Just in from EM Bennu: I am in a position this month to be able to post an event schedule on a much larger scale than usual, this is an unusual occurrence and will not happen often but I wanted to get this out there. #1: Sunday, April 24th, 2011 we will be starting an event line which will be self paced. #2: Tuesday, April 26th, 2011 @ 8:30pm EST, Addie will be having a graduation party for his graduation from the Lycaeum of Moonglow and the teachings of the Magus Juuritan, he will also be returning home to Magincia on this date. This is completely a fully RP event. #3: Thursday, April 28th, 2011 @ 6:30pm EST, we will be having another event along the Addie line of fiction and the Knights of the Crux Ansata will be called up and into action. Combat Focused Crux Event. #4: Monday, May 2nd, 2011 @ 9pm EST, we will be having a meeting to discuss a matter of some importance. HIGHLY RP Centered Event. #5: Saturday, May 7th, 2011 @ 7pm EST, will be another Addie HIGHLY RP centered event. | My Mood:   |  [NEWS] When Tides Change When Tides Change Roleplay is literally portraying a character other than yourself. If the Character is well formed and realistic than they eventually start to take on a life of their own. Yes, you make the decisions for them but you base your choices on how THEY would respond. You don't base it on you. Realism is a big piece to pulling off a believable character. Anyone can stick a fictional name in a fictional world and make them nice and happy all the time. But that is bupkis. Not everything is princesses and diamond Tiara's in a realistic world. Eventually, things are going to hit the fan and some hard choices are going to have to be made, just like in the real world. How your character chooses to deal with these issues shows as much about them as the way they talk and the words they speak. Do they handle pressure well? Are they wimps? Do they cry easy? Are they stoic? Are they the “gimme” type? These are some basic questions when you are dealing with hardships. If you need easier let's go this route: Is your character good? Is your character Evil? Do they do things just because they feel it is right? Or do they do what is easy? There are moments in game that are character changing. And when you run into them it is time to dig deep into what your character is made of and look at their list of experiences. You literally have to run down every event that has brought them to this point before you choose a direction. Case in point: Scenario Number 1: Your character has been part of a secret society for some time. Initiation is to take place and what is required is for your character to slaughter an innocent man. He lays before begging for his life. He tells you he has three children at home all under the age of 12. This is a basic setup but if your character has been preparing for this night for years as an apprentice then this is no meager feat. What's more, take into consideration what beliefs your character holds. What is the purpose behind killing this man? Has he done something to deserve it? Is the astrological alignment to blame for this? Your character has a thousand different things running through their head and it is this moment that will define them for years to come. But it is also their years prior that help to determine what they will do. Scenario number 2: Your character lives within a valley of Were Wolves. Having been included in the inner folds for sometime it has come to your attention that a situation is occurring where a longer life span and an easier healing process might be more beneficial. The elders of the clan grant you the permission to join the folds and be bitten. This one I have experienced on a personal level. The questions that ran through my mind were: This is possible death. How does my character face that? How does my character face never being the same? How does my character feel about the body differences she will experience? What will this do on an emotional level? Scenario number 3: Your character is an American girl who has mysteriously been transported through time and placed smack dab in the middle of Luna. The sights are different, the dialect is different and she is utterly confused. Now this one is a major character definer from the ground up. Every word, every movement and every sound your character makes will change how her world is shaped. In order to determine what the situation will do you will have to first know for a fact what your character is made of. The intricacies of this are what is going to make or break your story. When you come up against a situation that will change who your character will be, details make the difference. | |

| I couldn’t help but wonder how Farley had been killed. Was he poisoned? Knifed? I realized I had not looked closely at the body. It struck me as odd that none of the others had mentioned anything. Lord Farriot was right. We needed more evidence. Daniel had asked people to look out for anything that might help us solve this case. I hoped someone had seen something. Thursday woke with the sound of willow warblers. They are cute little birds who sing just before the dawn, then hide in their little nests somewhere in the darkest parts of the forest. Waking to the sound always makes my day brighter. I arose and set off to join Daniel and the others. When I arrived at the Royal Guard Hall in Serpents Hold I noticed many of the usual faces and some new students as well. Sundina and Hatshepsut were already debating about the dead jockey we had discovered the week before. Rei pointed out that we just had not gathered enough information to draw any conclusions about the death. One thing was certain. We all believed Farley was murdered. Queen Mum thought Harold the track announcer seemed a bit shady, but conceded that the bookie was always a possibility too.  It seemed odd to me. I had talked to Xarra at the tailors. She was supposedly in love with him but she seemed unperturbed. That was what Daniel said just as the thought went through my mind. The only person who seemed upset was Marrianne. We decided to find her and talk to her. Perhaps she could tell us more about the others. When we arrived just outside the Brit Race track Marrianne was seen checking the fence. We walked around to greet her. Dipswatch was the first to say hello.  “Hello she replied. Have you come to bury Farley?” We all looked at each other. Rei nodded and remarked that the corpse is starting to stink; a wretched smell it is, and Miri pointed out that some one should. Gimli poked the body with a stick. “He is rotting now. Look you can see his ribs.” Dance covered her nose. Rei was shocked that he still lay there and no one had given him a proper funeral.  “No one has claimed the body yet” said Marrianne. “Does anyone know if he had family? I know he was seeing Xarra but …” she trailed off and shrugged as though we all knew what she meant. We did. Rei decided the citizens should all pitch in and bury him but Gimli had other ideas. He thought the body would make good fertilizer for the crops. Someone pointed out that with not knowing the cause of death the body might poison the field. Moxxi figure he would be better fish bait. Marrianne wondered if they were just saying these things to ease tension. It was not working, she sniffed back a tear. “Please do not cry” Rei said. “We will hunt down the perpetrators and bleed them all.” Miri and Gimli were still looking at the body. “He has been moved and robbed.” someone remarked. Then Miri and Gimli rhymed off a list of missing things. “His horse, pocket money, and the sugar are all gone.”  “I do not think his horse is missing. Colt cares for it at the stable. We can go check if you like” said Marrianne. They did want to be sure. Stealing a man’s change was one thing, but to steal a horse was unforgivable. Someone would hang.  We wandered up to the Blacksmith guild building where Marrianne claimed all her horses were shod. Then headed a bit south west to the paddock where we had met Colt before. Lil Min Rideout was chatting to him. We all wanted to hear what they were saying. I faintly heard Min say sugar.  “Look there is Farley’s horse. Come we need to talk to Colt” instructed Marrianne. As we got closer we heard Lil min ask about the sugar. Colt looked away and claimed he knew nothing of the sugar. He grabbed his pitchfork and pushed it into the hay and threw it about. “Look I have to work. The horses need to be fed.” He said no more. He wiped some sweat from his face with the shirt he had taken off and ignored us.  Min was a little more talkative. She pointed out the sugar on the ground and showed anger. “You would never give a thoroughbred sugar. It makes them skittish and hard to calm. Colt knows that. I don't know how Farley won all those races. He was not that good a Jockey. I wonder if he was giving his horse these sugar cubes. My Da was the best Jockey. He trained most of these horses.” She continued to mumble about the sugar.  Marrianne spoke kindly to Lil Min. “Your Da was a good jockey. We always respected him. His horses were always well trained. We considered him a friend.” “Farley's horse was nothing special. Neither was Farley.” Lil Min blurted out. Yes, I used Da’s fame to get into the inner circle. Do you wonder how Farley got in? I do!” “He won races! He pretty much pulled the track out of debt” snapped Marrianne. Forrest was getting tired of all the evasive answers. “Maybe we should just take them behind the barn and get some real information!” Moxxi wanted to know more. He asked about Farley once more. Min glared at him and said that “neither Colt nor Min would give our horses sugar. Someone else must have been here. Maybe Harold or that sleaze bag bookie saw something.” Several people nodded. He is sleazzzzy. Harold Chancero and Cayne were standing outside of the track. Caynes’ eyes quickly fixed on the group. He put on a fake smile and began to speak. “Hello again, I really can not say anything as I really know nothing. Look I am opinionated and unorthodox. Does not mean I killed anyone. Go talk to Harold. He had a thing for Xarra.” Jocelyn wondered, “Why do you say killed? Do you know for sure that Farley was murdered?” “Yes I do think he was murdered. That horse whisperer and he had a nasty argument last night. I don't know what they fought about. She said she hoped he died and he became dragon food.” Cayne retorted. “Who is this horse whisperer that he speaks of?” Asked Miri a bit confused. “Tara Vegan” replied Marrianne “she works for me. See Farley was a great Jockey but I noticed that his horses were always upset after a race. So I hired Tara. She is good at calming the horses. She is in Jhelom right now. I am sure you can ask her about the argument. She would not harm a bug.” “We will”, said Glares, “but since we are here we might as well speak with Harold over there.” He waved to the announcer who smiled back. “Hi. It would be a nice day if not for Farley. It is too quiet here without the races. All people talk about now is the murder. I still think Xarra knows more.” “That is a nasty accusation!” Angelina pointed out. “Well she is shopping again today. For shoes no less. I really do not see where she gets all her money.”  Forrest scratched his head. “Maybe she bets at the track?” “Xarra is very attractive and she knows it.” Spat Harold. Moxxi wanted to know more. It seemed that Harold was somehow jealous. After a little prodding Harold admitted, “Maybe a bit. I did ask her out once.” Moxxi felt that we should talk to her again as well. So it was with that we all ambled to Trinsic. We tried the tailor shop but were told she had indeed left to go to the cobblers. Seems someone told her that her shoes did not match her hat.  Forrest decided to try a new approach to the investigation. He looked Xarra in the eyes and said in a stern voice, “Admit it, you killed Farley!” Xarra yawned. “He is old news. You know Cayne might get famous now! I must have these shoes” she replied and continued to shop. “Why would Cayne get famous?” asked Moxxi “He was asked to play Farley in a play! I would love to see that. Oh the theater part is boring but you get to wear wonderful long gloves. They look divine” replied Xarra. “Lordy” was all Jocelyn could say. “Where do you get all the money to buy these things?” asked Marrianne  “Why would you ask that, Marrianne?” Inquired Miri “Colt is always on about it. I thought I would ask.” Xarra smiled, “Men like to give me things. And to think Lord Farriot calls me a gold digger!” “Are you Marrianne? Are you a gold digger?” Jocelyn asked with one brow raised. “No I loved my husband. He was sweet and he treated me right and he fell off the roof fixing the thatch!” Rei wanted more “Did you kill him? Marrianne began to cry hard. Gimli not letting up stated, “You pushed him off the roof? We think you did it!”  Marrianne was in shock. “I swear by the memory of Queen Dawn that I did not kill my husband or Farley. Why would I. After my husband died Farley helped get me out of debt. He saved the track.” People were debating many possibilities. They realized they should still meet up with old Farriot and Tara as well. They let Marrianne know she was a suspect and that she should stay in the general area where she could be found for more questions.  Cinderella was very confused. “You say you are in mourning, yet you are not wearing black?” Marrianne sighed and suggested that Farriot was setting her up. Maybe he was framing her since he never did like her. Hatshepsut had his own idea. “You are much younger that you husband was. You married for money then pushed him off a roof. Just say how it is.” Jocelyn pointed out that Love is ageless. We went to see Lord Farriot next. His pasture was empty again. I wondered why there never seemed to be any horses there. He had a lot to say. He spoke of the frivolity of Xarra and her frequent shopping in Trinsic. He felt this was typical of all women. He scratched his chin when asked about Marrianne. He did not think she killed Farley.  “Marrianne counted on him.” He scratched his chin again then said, “I guess she would be a fool to kill him. Look for more evidence. Marrianne is suspicious. She is not from a genteel family. Married to gain status I say. Of course she hired that fool Colt. Marrianne was foolish to put all her stock in Colts hands. He has ten thumbs. I think Marrianne fancies him.” Then he stopped cold and stammered, “Oh Marrianne I did not see you there but no matter as I will say again that my friend would still be alive if you had gotten Colt fix the roof.”  More accusations followed and Marrianne finally had enough. She burst into tears and ran back to her cottage. Daniel was there and led the rest of us to Jhelom to speak with Tara. We found Tara quietly sitting in a small shack eating an apple. “Hello again, I am just taking a break. I have been working with the sheep in the pen over there. I am a horse tender but the sheep were so very skittish today.” Tara fidgeted herself. Daniel Ravens asked gently, “Did you have an argument with Farley the night he died?”  Tara Vegan looked down at her hands. “Oh yes I did get upset with Farley. We often do not agree. I said some very nasty things. I did say he would make good dragon food. I guess I lost my temper.  You see when Farley was around the horses were much more fidgety. I blame him. I think it is the sugar. I have seen him give those trotters sugar. The only other person who gets me riled like that is Lord Farriot. Lord Farriot does not love animals - it is all bluster. He does mean things to them. I am a vegetarian. He hunts and eats animals. Oh I dropped my apple.” Daniel handed her another apple and she thanked him. “Thank you I love eating apples ”We had spent our time collecting evidence but still did not seem to be any closer to solving the case. We went back to the RBG hall and decided to bury Farley next week.  Bidding each other safe journeys and vowing to contemplate the new information we decided on the date and time to meet. We will meet at the Serpents Hold RBG hall in Trammel at 5 PT, 6 MT, 7 CT, 8 ET Thursday evening April 21st.  ~ Shadow Riter  | ||

| Guide to the Mythical Birds and Beasts of Britain EMSeppo Players are invited to submit a “chapter” that describes a mythical creature of Sosaria. This chapter will be eventually added to Martin Lacey’s A GUIDE TO THE MYTHICAL BIRDS AND BEASTS OF BRITAIN and copies of the book will be made available, possibly as a reward. Your name will be credited as the original source of the myth in the book. The goal is to have at least 10 chapters. A chapter consists of a short essay about a mythical creature of your concoction. You are more than welcome to borrow from Ultima lore. Who knows maybe your creation might be the one that Lacey sends you out on a quest for? The essay should follow the following format, 1) Name: 2) Origin: 3) Physical characteristics: 4) Magical characteristics: 5) Range and habitat: 6) Additional notes: Your essay does not have to cover all of the above points, but the final book chapters will be published in this format. If information is lacking for any of the points, it will simply state “unknown” or “none”, as appropriate. For instance, not every creature needs to have magical characteristics. Technical notes: 1) If you want to see your creation in action, then it needs to be something based on what already exists in UO. I am not going to be able to get new art for a five-headed snow leopard anytime soon. 2) You are allowed to submit multiple entries. 3) You can also submit a creature that is not necessarily qualified as a bird or a beast. As long as she/he/it is not human. For example, Orobas would qualify as one. 4) The key word here is mythical – so something that does not normally exist in the game. It can be a little known sub-species of orc, or something completely unheard of. 5) I will accept submissions till we get enough to compile a full guide. Please, use the feedback link to send your submission (include the information regarding who to credit). 6) An online version of the guide will also be published on here. Spring Festival 2011 Friday, April 15 Hosted by both YEW and TWT, under the banner of the alliance "A Sosarian Empire", this weekend we usher in Spring with a Festival on both Friday evening (4/15/11) and all day and into the evening Saturday (4/16/11). YEW kicks things off Friday evening at 8 pm eastern time with the Town of Yew's annual "Festival of the Grape Harvest". To capitalize on Yew's rustic setting, many events and contests will be geared towards craftsmen and woodworkers*. But there will be activities for non-trades types as well. The marksmanship competitions will cater to both archers and blade throwers. There will also be an open air market in the town square open to any merchants who wish to hawk their wares or services. While visitors are welcome to spend some time at the Abbey's winery to sample some of the select vintages the monks have to offer, children can be dropped off at Yew's Undead Petting Zoo located to the south. The Undead Petting Zoo is a wonderful learning experience for kids, and a rewarding one for its inhabitants who gleefully rush up to the fence to interact and be fed by the children. *Depending upon the turnout of participants, some events may be adjusted to offer team or partnered competitions. Crafters with both carpentry and tinkering skill are encouraged to participate. Event coordinators will provide all materials required for the crafting events. Saturday, April 16 TWT will follow up with events on Saturday beginning at 1 pm eastern time at Sinful Candie's Vendor Shop. Join us as you can pop in and out throughout the day and into the evening where there will be constant events and games running. Duels, a sexiest legs contest, kissing booth, and more... VIRTUE LAND GAME: Cash prizes and more await you as you play this old fashion board game. Roll the dice and navigate your way around the board trying to avoid poor rolls and pitfalls. Finish first and win. (10k entry fee total matched by the event staff). SEXIEST LEGS CONTEST: How many of you have been recalling or gating when you could have simply walked, or ran? If your answer is "Me", then chances are you might be right for this event. Remember poise and presentation are just as important as a toned and tanned set of stems in this event. There will both a female and male division for this one. Also playoffs and or "favors" offered to the judges will result in disqualification. THE KISSING BOOTH: Never been able to build up enough courage to lay one on that attractive someone? Come with a 5 k check in hand (don't worry its a tax rightoff) as a donation and kiss some of the sweetest lips in Sosaria. There will be both a female and male kissing booth. *Remember to behave in this one* RETRO DUEL: Come and enter an old fashion duel as you wear "retro" outfits and battle it out in the mage or warrior division. All participants must join the Sosarian Empire Event guild for this one. You wil be asked to display your title, as it will be your "normal guild tag" so that you may propertly represent your loyalties. Rules are very basic in this event with skills being your primary ally. Bags containing regents for mages (no weapons in mage division" and a bag containing armor/bandaids/weapon for warriors. We ask that mages wear clothing (be it Event Staff issued or your own). Warriors must wear and use the items given to them in the bag issued. Nothing covering the hands is allowed in this event. TINKER BOX GAME: Come try your luck as you open a tinkered box and attempt to win a prize of worth....or something perhaps of "lesser value". | The rules were simple… show up naked and try not to leave as a ghost. How could I resist? When I arrived at the PvP arena, there were already a few naked combatants mulling around, and fully dressed EM Sangria. For years now I have wondered what our EMs look like under their green robes, and I thought I was finally going to get a chance to see first hand. *sigh* I guess I will just have to keep waiting.  Soon the arena was bustling with all manner of gladiators running around in their skivvies, eagerly awaiting the battle that loomed in front of them. Participants included: John the Fisherman Soul Annex Rasesar Wej Broken Dreams Asha Sukanara Merciful Neptune KaMiKaZe KimBo Socrates Candy Rei ROFLCOPTER LOLz Don’t Shoot Kelemvor Stavros Darc Charly Don’t Surf Out on the floor were several crates, each stocked with all manner of gear for those brave enough to venture out. There would be 3 elimination rounds… a duel to the last man (or woman) standing, with a final fourth round to establish 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place among the previous rounds winners. For each match one crate would be made available. The matches were fast and furious. Many templates were represented… archers, warriors, mages, and even a stealther. Fighters scrounged for gear with one eye on the person next to them, not quiet sure where the next attack might come from. All in all, the event seemed to be appreciated. Results for the evening were as follows, with each winner receiving recognition in the EM awards Hall.  Round 1 – Merciful (received 1st place in the final match)  Round 2 - KaMiKaZe KimBo (received 2nd place in the final match)  Round 3 – Darc (received 3rd place in the final match)  Congrats to our winners and everyone else who participated. The Frog and the Princess. Professor Grimm needed our help again and ask to meet him at the counselors hall. We had to stop some strange creature called the frog king and a insane princess. It seemed they had to do with this mysterious guy was saw at the limbus.  Soon enough we found ourself facing the frog king in the twisted roads in Ilshenar .  It was not easy to fight this strange creature in the narrow passage. Good thing we where well prepared. We all fought us more northward trough the passage. In one of the most North West corner of the passage we came near a small pond with swamp water. First more frogs appeared.  And then the Insane Princess made her appearance.  It was not easy to fight the insane princess and the local poison elemental . Eventually the Princess fell! The Professor thanked us for a well fought battle.  It was time to search the Princess corpse.     The professor took the scroll back to the counselors hall.  Seems we only have a first piece of a bigger puzzle. Guess we have to deal first with more of these strange creature and followers before we can deal with this mysterious person. We will be ready when the professor needs us again. Come and prove it at the “Itchy-Scratchy” Memorial Tournament of SOS-Madness…, which starts at Sunday, April 17th at 4 PM PST (7 PM EST) at the Floating Emporium, Trammel. Pre-registration is required so that we know how many SOS bags will have to be prepared. Your goal is to locate and fish up all the SOS’s in your bag as fast as possible and return to the starting point. The SOS’s were sorted into geographic regions and 2 SOS’s will be pulled out of each bag without opening the bag and the SOS up. They have been doubled checked so there should be no SOS locations that you can’t get to, think – Fire Isle, but just in case one slips in, you will be able to exchange the bad SOS for a new one. You must sail from the starting point to all the SOS locations and then return to the starting point. You are not allowed to dry dock your boat, recall, and then place your boat again. EMSeppo Martin Lacey, scratched his head, as he worked on writing a particularly challenging passage in his latest edition of A GUIDE TO THE MYTHICAL BIRDS AND BEASTS OF BRITAIN. As an elder scholar of Lycaeum, he was one of the foremost authority on the topic of legendary creatures. He had spent a lifetime with his nose buried in scrolls dealing with the unusual to the fantastic. His expertise lied in distinguishing works of fiction from accounts likely to be rooted in some form of reality. As Britain and her cities expanded, many of her other worldly inhabitants were either forced deeper into the woods or disappeared completely. Through his work, Lacey hoped to highlight this, often overlooked, cost of progress. His current source of frustration dealt with the exact nature of a creature named Eostre. While some of the sources described her as one of the fair folks, others hinted towards a more divine interpretation. Then, there was the case of the lack of information related to the description of a silver dragon’s egg in a previous chapter. For some reason, this day, the lack of details was weighing down heavily. Looking out at the setting sun from the small window on his right, he sighed, Would it not be wonderful to prove the existence of some of these creatures? Since the peculiar seeds release, we have trees and plants to match the swamp tiles.. Not to mention a swamp theme has one big step up from a water theme, You can walk on swamp tiles! Making the decorating a little less obnoxious since you don't need to go in and out of customization mode to add items over the water. | I usually never have to step away from an event but this past Thursday the winds of real life called me away. The thought of not having coverage of this great event Daniel invited us too really weighed heavy on me. The next morning to my surprise I found a scroll in my mailbox outside of my keep and it was a full report on the event!!! I was astounded by how much detail there was and it was signed by someone name "Shadow Riter". Who was this anonymous writer? why would this person do this for me? I guess this is a mystery I would have to investigate....thanks Shadow Riter!  Having the opportunity to arrive before the sleuths I was able to chat a bit with Daniel Ravens who spoke of how he felt about the adventure this evening…. Daniel looked forward to the arrival of his students. He was thinking that only a few months ago he would not have even considered training others. This week the group was going to learn riding skills. Some of them were already very adept with their mounts but for some it would be a challenge. He stood at the gate to the track waiting for his pupils.  Soon they started to arrive and walked their horses onto the track. It was going to be a good night. Suddenly a raucous babble erupted behind him in the track. He hurried in to see what the commotion was about. As he approached, Nora, Amadeo, and Aurora were asking Queen Mum if she could administer healing to a man who was lying still by the winner circle.  “No” Said Mum. “He is beyond my skills. I wonder who he is or was.”  Twig Silvers and Sundina took a good look. They took things from the pocket of the man, carefully like Daniel had told them. They did not want to ruin any evidence. Jocelyn took a look. “Hmm I think that is Farley! He looks dead!” Rayce looked. “This can’t be. I was not hunting here today! He smirked. “I am not guilty….this time” Rei was confused. “Who the heck is Farley? He looks like he might have been drunk.” “He has a riding crop” said Mum. “I wonder where his horse is. He must have had a horse.” “We need to get notebooks and keep track of evidence.” The name Farley seemed very familiar. The group tried to remember where they had heard of him. “This is very sad. He needs to be buried” remarked Rei. “He is bloating in this heat.” “It is only a matter of time until he smells bad.” “Hmm Sugar Cubes, Riding Crop, must be a Jockey. No wonder he is so short.” Iago noticed. “He is bald too.” Iago piped up. “You know there are sugar cubes in his pocket and some loose change. The sugar cubes are maybe for a horse? But there is still no horse.” “I think his horse was stolen!” stated Twigg Silvers. “Let’s see if anyone witnessed this crime. There is a man standing at the watch tower.” Harold Chancero stood at the top of the tower. He was looking out over the track as we approached.  “Hello Fans! What can I do for you? Do you want my Autograph?” "Who are you Harold?" the group asked. “Oh I am Harold Chancero. I announce all the races here. Keep people up on all the action. Maybe you do not know my face but you must recognize my voice.” “Did you know Farley?” “FARLEY! Yea he is a great jockey and quite the ladies man. Oh Yea He is Da Man!” Harold seemed to be Farley’s biggest fan. “Farley was the best Jockey. He was unbeatable much to L’il Mins chagrin.” “Well if he is a ladies man who did he date?” “Oh he dates that little vixen Xarra. I am not sure how long he has been with her. You might bump into her shopping in Trinsic. She likes to shop.” “Did you kill him?” “What! Farley is dead? I thought he was just sleeping off a bender. I know nothing about it. Oh, you know that bookie over there might know.” Before turning to leave Twigg Silvers looked at Harold and asked for an autograph. Harold was aghast “Pfft, Farley lies dead over there and you ask for an autograph.” The group turned in the direction Harold was pointing. Sure enough a man stood by the track with a book in his hands. They walked toward him hoping to get more information. Charly Dont Surf looked about “How about this guy Cayne Padopocit?” Cayne looked like a sleazy guy. As they approached him he grinned.  “Care to make a bet? Now that Farley is dead Min Rydeout has a good chance of winning. I can definitely give you good odds for her. She was the long shot until Farley bit the dust. Sad though. He would have won his 100th race straight in a row. Imagine the odds of that.” “Who is Lil Min Rydeout?” asked Gixx Cayne seemed to know all the gossip and liked to hear himself talk. “She is the daughter of famous jockey Jaqui Rydeout. Before Farley came into his winning streak she was everyone’s first pick. I think Lil Min used her father's fame to get into the circuit. You need to be good to get into the inner circle. Still L’il Min did show she can ride. She is getting her horse shoed up at the Blacksmith guild. She is a cute little thing in her pink silks. She dated Farley before Xarra came into the picture. Xarra is such a socialite. She loves to shop.” “Thank you” said the group. “Let’s go to Trinsic and talk to Xarra.” Xarra was in the tailor shop looking for a new hat. When she saw the new people enter the shop she looked down her nose at group. “Did Harold send you?”  "Yes", the group announced. “Pfft, he is jealous because I have been dating Farley since he started to win races. He wins a lot which makes him famous.” Her eyes twinkled when she said famous.  “Do you know he is dead?” asked Charley Don’t Surf. “Farley? Ya, I heard he died. You should talk to Colt Walker. He would have been the last to see him.” She was nonchalant. “Did you see him at the races?” asked Iago. “Oh I find the racing part perfectly boring. But I like the fancy hats I get to wear. I love to dress up to go to the races.” She said laconically. “You do not seem upset” remarked Daniel. “My Daddy provides for me. When he stops, I can make money selling my portrait. Do these shoes go with my dress?” She stared at the group then spouted. “I really like shopping!!!” Twigg Silvers had enough of the stuck up socialite. “Well your shoes do not match. How do ya feel now??” he taunted. “Let’s talk to Colt” recommended Daniel. “Although Xarra is a bit self absorbed, she is right about the groom. Farley would have brought his horse to the groom to be curried down.” There was a nice open paddock just east of the race track where Colt Walker stood near a fence. When he saw the group of people approach he leaned over to chat with them. He seemed very congenial. “Are you Colt Walker?” demanded Twigg. In a drawl he responded, “Real name’s Cauthrim, but I like Colt. What can I do for you?”  “Xarra said you were the last to see Farley alive after his race.” “What did Xarra tell you? That snoot. She knows I saw him because she was with him. Whelp, I walk his horse, curry it, feed it. I’m a stable hand. Oh but wait. They fought. Then Farley took off with Tara Vegan.” Rei in frustration asked “What is all this gibberish, who is Tara Vega?” “Tara! Oh she helps a smidgen here. She whispers in the horses ears” Colt replied. “I don’t be knowing what she says. Should ask her... I think she’d gone went to Skara last night. She left in a hurry too.” “Enough! Did you kill him? And where is your shirt?” pondered Twig. "I muck stalls. It gets hot. I done not kill nobody. I best be getting back to washin’ the horses now.” “Do you feed them sugar?” Jocelyn inquired. “Sugar! Oh, I would not give sugar to these horses. It is not good for them.” Colt responded looking insulted. In Skara the sleuths found Tara Vegan talking softly in the ear of a horse.  She looked up at them and put her finger to her lips saying “Shhh. I just got this horse calmed down. He is a jumpy one.” “I am good at getting fidgety horses to calm. She then shrugged and mumbled … he mistreated horses.” “Why did you leave in a hurry?”  “I was needed here. Ask Marianne how beneficial I am to her. She is the widow of Owen Barnsfield. She owns the track and lives in Britannia. Just outside the west gate. I would not hurt anyone.” The group was confused. They had never met Marrianne. She must live somewhere near the race track. They resolved to go and look at the farms in the West Brit outskirts. Once they got back to the track they head north. A warm inviting log house had the door wide open. The aroma of fresh bread wafted out. They knocked and entered. Marrianne extended her hand and smiled “Hello, How do you do? I am Owens widow.”  The sleuths asked her about Farley. “Word has arrived that he was murdered. Farley’s reputation helped me save the Track. I am at a loss now without Owen or Farley. Lord Fariot never approved of Owen and my union. But I loved Owen. I was much younger of course. My husband was 87 when he died.” “I wish I knew more so that I could shed some light on this mysterious death. I know nothing of it but recently a bookie has been hanging around the track. It is rumored that he made odds that Farley would not be able to win 100 races in a row. Tomorrow would have been a night in racing history. I would wager Cayne would have lost a lot of money if Farley won.” She continued her saga … “Colt and Tara care for my horses. Colt is a wonderful groom and Tara keeps the horses calm. They are usually at my corral but Tara went to Skara to help the stable master there with a spirited steed. Other than that, I think Farley was going to go into some business with Lord Fariot who has a ranch just outside of Moonglow. Though I have never seen a horse there other than his hunting horse, he says it is for retired race horses. Lord Fariot and I never saw eye to eye. He likes to hunt little foxes.” Marrianne seemed genuinely upset about Farley. A tear ran down her cheek. Slowly the sleuths left her home and set off for Moonglow to find this mysterious Lord Fariot. They decided to pay a quick visit to L’il Min at the blacksmith guild, since it was nearby, before they took the trek to Moonglow.  L'il Min Rydeout was eager to help “Oh I dated Farley once or twice, He was not my type.” “He is Xarra's type. She is in Trinsic shopping. She frowned and stated … she is always in Trinsic shopping.” “Tell us about Jaqui.”  “He is my father. He is retired now. Best Jockey Evah! Better Than Farley! He was quite famous until Farley took the spotlight. Some people think I used his fame to get in the inner circuit. Nodding she said “Sure I got into the circuit because of my father's fame. BUT I can ride!” “It is all I have ever wanted. I was winning a lot before Farley came along! Ask Cayne or Colt. Just because I wear pink riding silks does not mean I am a poor jockey. I was born to ride.” Rei accused her…“you murdered him!” “Humph! I am a better jockey and a better person. I do not like him. Sheesh!! He feeds his horses’ sugar and junk!” The sleuths decided to set out for Moonglow. It was not hard to find Lord Fariot. He was dressed in an argyle sweater and white leather riding pants. He carried a riding crop and seemed excited. Very excited and quite eager, the sleuths started to bombard him with questions.  “Where are the horses? Do you sell them for glue? Why are you mean to Marriane? Lord Fariot glared at the group. “I am on my way to a fox hunt - a Steeple chase. A sport fit for my position. Would you like to join me?” “Why are you unkind to Marrianne?” “Marrianne is the owner of the race track she married Owen for the money.” “OMG” Katrina was stunned. “A gold digger!” “I am on my way to a fox hut are you all coming?” Rei stated in disbelief “to doom you are!” Iago knew that you did not ride retired horses to a fox hunt. “Don't you have retired horses? I don’t see any.” Queen Mum was confused stating that there were no foxes in Moonglow. “Fox hunt where?” “Where there are foxes” patronized Fariot, “in Tokuno.I will answer your questions after my game.” In Tokuno the players found the little foxes. Some were rabid.  Fariot did not care. He attacked them and laughed.  He was having a wonderful time. Finally he had sated his desire to hunt. The group battled their way through the beast keeping their eyes closely on Fariot.  Rei was the first to demand what Fariot knew. “You got questions to answer.” Iago was very concerned about the retired horses “Where are they? Did you sell them for glue?” Lord Fariot resigned himself to talk. He was not able to shake them off. “Alright, you had a good time with me hunting and steeple chase, this is the life. It’s a manly game indeed.” Twig Slivers agreed “and a good one at that!” “Life is good” Fariot said avoiding the questions. Iago was not deterred “so where are these retired horses?” Lord Fariot had all the answers. "Well. I let them have free range. Where do you keep your horses?”  Iago frowned “In the stable like a civilized person.” Fariot liked that. “Yes the very old ones are in the stables. Why are you all so concerned?” Iago needed more information. “So what about Farley, was he working for you?” “Farley, he smiled, great jockey! I bet on him many times.” Twig Slivers got right to the point. “Farley is dead.” Sundina asked, “Who killed Farley?” Fariot replied “I don't know him very well. What do you know?” Twig Slivers sighed “that is what we are asking you about.” Iago added “any clue why he would turn up dead?” “Dead? Farley is dead??? Oh that is bad news. I bet my ranch on his race tomorrow. You should see if there is evidence. Look around the track see what you can find. You know I bet that pink floozy did it.” Twig Slivers was not sure who Fariot meant. “Lil Min??” Lord Fariot laughed. “She thinks SHE can ride with the good jockeys.” He shook his head. “She is only in the circuit out of respect for her dad. She is such a silly girl.” Iago replied with a raised brow, “ahhh but what would motivate her to kill?” Lord Fariot answered with annoyance, “perhaps you should all sleep on this and go over your evidence.” “Farley was not well liked. There are so many people who would see him dead.” Katrina suspected that there was a lack of respect to the women. “Bet the ladies ganked him  “Lord Fariot nodded at the possibility. “He dated Tara, Xarra, and Min.” Iago wanted to know. Can’t you tell us anything specific? “Yes” grinned Fariot. “He played them off each other. Then Min was upset that he beat her dad.” He seemed to think for a minute. “Farley would never curry his horse which made Colt real mad!” Iago was curious and asked, “Why would she date a rival jockey in the first place?” Lord Fariot was amused “Who knows? Women they are a strange lot.” The men all laughed. All except Iago who stated “but they are typically not homicidal.” Lord Fariot added, “I wonder… Marrianne was losing the track until Farley came along. Still, I wonder how it is that he won so many times.” Twig Slivers was intrigued with the mention of another woman “you mean that Tara girl?” “Tara, silly girl, talks in the horses ears. They do not speak English. Horses understand a good riding crop and spurs. You should go back to find clues. Maybe you can figure out who might have done this. If I can be of help let me know.” Fariot waved to the group and rode off. The group headed back to Moonglow where they had first met Fariot in hopes of catching him again but he was no where in sight.  After Daniel took head count he suggested the sleuths get rest and review all the clues in order to meet again next Thursday evening April 15th in the Trammel Serps Hold Guard Hall at 5pm PT, 8pm ET and figure out the mystery of what happened to Farley and why. Posts: 81 My Mood: | [NEWS] Underestimating: Herding in RP Underestimating: Herding in RP “Attack of the understated,” is a line from a movie I happen to love called Hello Again. Nowhere is this sentence more true than in UO when you are facing down a shepherdess with a gm herding skill. For the most part those who play the game disregard Herding as useless. They would much rather go with a muscle skill like mysticism or Swordsmanship. Truth be told sometimes it is the skills that support your main in which the most difference can be made. The first time I ever saw this skill used was in the Champ Spawn of Oaks. A member of The Twilight Fellowship came riding through the fray of shadow wisps and centaur looking critters with a horde of Ki-rin behind her. It was a slaughter and in no time, Oaks himself was out and doing battle. If a horde of red and orange cutting through monsters you can barely touch on your own doesn't attract your attention, I don't know what will. As a manner of both fighting and role playing, no one uses this skill better than Sablestorm of Pacific. And it is just this person whose character I mentioned above.  Meticulously Sablestorm plans the backgrounds of each of his many shepherds and Shepherdess'. From the Deer tamer to the Slith tamer they are both unique and engaging. He leaves no stone unturned when including the applications of this skill and in his own right, has created an entire section of UO Lore.  From the stealth herder in the underworld and their following of wolf spiders to the Evil Druidess with her swarm of raptors killing refugees, the stories are expansive and creatively brilliant. In order to connect it wholly to the character, Sablestorm interweaves druidic lore and the powers of nature associated with it. I would be lying if I said this was the only time this fantastic writer and role player did this. The truth is he has an uncanny way of getting to the most basic of the mystical. “Taping into the magic of nature we establish a bond with the animals.” He said. When I inquired exactly how high the skill had to be to be truly useful he replied that a character of 50 taming and 50 herding can lead an army of Boura into battle. And again, I add that I have seen Boura in full on fighting mode against a horde of green Balron's that EM Kaz had unleashed on us. Herding is one of those pieces of rp that is easy to forget about but can pack one heck of a punch when used correctly. Additionally, for a tamer template herding is relatively easy to work in. Characteristics wise you don't have to look a certain way or play a certain race to include this skill so it is extremely versatile. All it requires is ingenuity and imagination. | |

| Cities Come Under Attack! The evening began with a surefire buzz about the realm as concerned citizens gathered inside the Skara Brae Community Center to discuss the recent appearance of Nematic Phylacteries in every player city in Sosaria. The ensuing conversation confirmed all of our suspicions as we felt the cities were in emminent danger and discussed tactics and stragedy of not only remaining alive but defending our homes and lands. Anxiously we awaited the hour to arrive for us to meet Lord Balander in Trinsic.  The crowd gathered along the Luna bank were soon greeted by a moongate leading to the "Keg and Anchor" in central Trinsic. Settling in, we were soon made the aquaintence of one Elise Symeria who went on to inform us all of a grand reopening on Fridays Eve at 7pm EST with free spirits for all who attend.   Lord Balandar soon arrived and with him tonights objective. Soon after his arrival, thunderous quakes were felt as the earth beneath our feet trembled as explosions in the distance rocked us nearly to the floor.  - A Little Bantered Humor Before Leaving -    Alarmed by what was transpiring the crowd rushed outside to see what had happened. Traveling towards the gate we were met by creatures within the city limits, those of which had to either come from or cause the plume to the east. Fire Elementals and Tempest crooned the streets and catacombs as the crowd unleashed a heavy dose of unbridled warfare all the way out to the rivers end where we found what remained of a residence of sorts.   The residence still ablaze from the explosions, did provide important information as a parchment was found charred and still smoldering. It read as follows:  You could see the look in everyones faces as they all seemed to realize at once. It had been a full day since our cities had gained the knowledge of the Phylacteries existance. Forces quickly assembled to meet whatever lie ahead in the cities of Chesapeake. From there, the defense of the player run towns of the realm was underway as Balander led the mass town to town purging the evil from each of the various lands.... - Pax Oku -  - Gyldenfeld -   - Guardians Gate -  -Clan of The Lost Temple -  - Pitmuck -  The community teleport hub proved invaluable as city by city forces cleansed the lands of the Phobic Terrors looming in the streets. Powerful foes hidden in the shadows they emerged to lay waste to any and all before them. Lengthy battles ensued. As the defenders hopped from town to town well past midnight in defense of thier homelands.   As the dust settled on the evenings events, the Nematic Phylacteries still remained. Now pulsating with power from unknown orgins. With cities on full alert for any sightings, we rest now for we fear the battle has only just begun......  | ||

| From the Desk of Corporal Brackus: A Public Notice Corporal Brackus Citizens, merchants, and visitors alike are hereby cautioned against the ongoing threat and significant dangers posed when travelling the streets of Britain alone or without armed escort. While the presence of raving madmen and madwomen were at first only chilling rumors, several eye witness reports have been provided during the last week that substantiate these claims of crazed townsfolk. These frenzied individuals typically travel alone but have been reported to gather in larger mobs. Their actions are at times passive and apathetic, but first hand reports by citizens and town guards alike have noted they can suddenly exhibit hostile or aggressive behaviors without warning. These crazed persons are often armed with sharp weapons and should be considered dangerous under all circumstances. Citizens are encouraged to avoid confrontation with these frenzied individuals and avoid physical contact whenever possible. Should you knock any of the assailants unconscious, or kill them in defense of your own life, citizens are asked to report the situation with the town guard and search the offenders belongings for any potential clues that may aid in the continued investigation. The town guard will continue to evaluate all evidence and reports that have been submitted and follow up with a Town Safety Meeting for the general public in the coming days. | Blackfoot Regatta April 15th, 2011, 8:00 P.M. EST. (Trammel) The 2nd Annual "Blackfoot's Blood Regatta" ship race will be taking place. A call for all highseas adventurers and landlubbers alike are asked to clean the barnacles from stem to stern and join everyone in this fun ship race to the finish. You will follow a path lead by clues until you end up at your final destination. As in past races, prizes will be worth their weight in pirate stones. Cap'n Blackfoot, a Renagade Pirate, Notorious and a wild taste for gold, ale, a fine wench, and plenty of food, was seen burying 3 chest of stolen Booty on a distant shore. This all can be had for the first 3 ships to hit this shoreline and make their way up to the dig site and claim the "Booty" chest that will be laying their on shore. Inside these chest will be pirates gold, a trophy, and plenty of odds and ends booty. (Trophies will be for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winners). So watch for more details about this race as they unfold as we approach this date. For those of you who do not know me I am the “loud mouth” Lord Gareth and Merik former news reporter from the Chesapeake Shard. | Niva The Savage Wins March Dart League! The March finals of the community dart league hosted by the cities of the United Sosarian Alliance and the Paxlair Statehood were held this past Mondays eve in the player city of Nidaros. Mayor Zanku hosted competitors from near and far as the months championship was at stake. Niva the Savage came into the nights events with a four point lead that held as true as her aim throughout the leagues four week run narrowly edging out Nanoc of (DWxC) by a mere point for the league championship! The evenings round four winner was Carl Jr. (DWxC) with a solid showing and taking home 250k for his efforts. Second place with the highest scoring throw recorded in the history of the league was Nanoc straight chuckin a crazy 101 to reach the finals. Third was Naitch of (SoSV), fourth went to Phoenix (DWxC), and fifth to Wints-Mar (OATH). Thanks to all the communities for hosting and citizens to who came out and had some fun this month. This coming Monday, we will begin the next series of league events with April's Archery League with Silvervale hosting round one! Here's a few pics of the action this past month.      | ||

From Guardians Gate to the shores of Pitmuck, every city has had the same deviously ominous addition appear. Unknown are its origins however we must all be alert as surely something wicked this way cometh! As I sit here, poised with my pen and its dribbled ink, I cannot contain my joy. Even now, I remain amazed that it is finally over. Magincia is free! Allow me to explain and, please, I beg patience, dear reader, for my hand trembles still with the excitement of all that has transpired. My handwriting is in perilous danger of becoming illegible. So I apologize if you end up spending long hours lost in the translation of what may prove to be chicken scratch, instead of my normally well-managed ink-strokes. It has been nearly a week since Virtuebane was driven back into that most foul gate from whence he came. I apologize, also, for waiting so long to impart this triumph. As Administrator of the Republic of Magincia, I have had my hands full with the directing of our city's rebuilding and supply coordination. I am doubly glad to have been mostly prepared with supplies waiting on the mainland. So where was I.. ahh yes.. Virtuebane was driven back... I am still somewhat surprised at the outcome of events. It was not the Sword of Humility, nor even some all-powerful incantation which drove him back through that black portal. His undoing was pie. Humble pie, to be more precise. That thief, Ricardo, had been hawking them at the drawbridge of Castle British for some time prior.. and none of us knew exactly why until then. It was a matter of my regular routine that I happened to be in Magincia that day. I was checking the supplies in our guildhall, located on the isle. I knew the threat of the black rock golems, but I had also grown accustomed to them greeting me as I teleported in. When I arrived, I noted with relief that there were none about. As I hurried into the basilica, I heard a gravelly roar a bit close behind me. Turning about and craning my head back to look up, I was seized with fright. Virtuebane! I thought to myself, must I face him alone? I swallowed my fear and steeled myself for what was to come. This fiend was responsible for the deaths of many Magincians, my parents included. I would not go out without a fight in their honor.  “What do you want?!” I challenged, but the beast simply roared and stared. It was then that I chanced to look beyond the pillars to the beach outside. Words cannot express the shock of seeing a second Virtuebane chasing some poor soul across the sand without. Had I gone mad? Had I actually seen two of them? Quickly, I snapped from my shocked stupor as the demon brought his claws swinging down toward me. I ran out from the hall then, and when I felt myself to be a safe distance away, I summoned my ethereal steed and together we thundered across the battle-scarred plains of Magincia to determine what exactly was taking place.  Battle was being waged, and soon I recognized with great relief that my fellows from the Crux Ansata were lending their swords and spells. The strong and familiar voice of Bon Iver was calling across the battlefield, issuing tactical suggestions. I soon found myself falling in and casting my healing magic on the warriors. Together, we managed to defeat some of those beasts.  Not before long, we became face to face with the true Virtuebane. His taunting of us gave it away and so we pressed our attack on him across the field. It seemed no matter how hard we hit him, he just would not die. Then Bon Iver was shouting for us to throw pies at him. I admit, I felt a little foolish at first, but as Virtuebane began to react to the pies I knew we had found a special weakness. Virtuebane was being humiliated and it was too much for him to handle. He ran back toward the dark portal, vowing that he would return. Then he was gone, back to where he came from, at last. Our beloved lady knight Danica confirmed that he had gone into the gate.  Some of us had found glowing shards of the Crystal of Duplicity, she asked that they be given to her. Once she had enough of them, she used them to close that evil doorway. “Virtuebane 's portal to our world has been destroyed. Let us hope that is the end of him. It is time for our world to move on,” The lady knight said. “Virtuebane's portal to our world has been sealed. With him on the OTHER side of it. The island may still have remnants of his forces. They must be dispatched.” She rewarded our valiant efforts with pieces of special armor, though it wasn't necessary. Having my homeland free at last was plenty reward for me. “Now... For those who wish, we have one more piece of business on Magincia.” As soon as enough people had gathered, she took us to the eastern part of the island. The crystals were buried then, in a box in the soil of our isle, causing an arcane circle to appear.  “Excellent. Magincia now has it's arcane circle. Rebuilding can now begin,” Danica smiled as the cheers went around.  It's been a week now, since the day of Magincia's independence. The city has begun rebuilding efforts under the name of New Magincia.  Because the supplies had been waiting, we already have an inn, a small tavern, and even a maritime shop. Further inland, you can stroll the sandy paths and view the beginnings of future buildings and shops.  A beautiful gazebo graces the isle.  Our moongate is restored and functioning properly. People have come from far and wide to plant seeds in the soil to help make the city lovely again. Soon, we shall hold a grand celebration that will last an entire week. It is a time of restoration and, like the Spring, life begins anew. | ||

| New Magencia Rebuild/ Lotto Underway! The scenery around the war torn city of Magencia undertook a major reconstruction process of late as the city is in the beginning stages of its bright future. The once rubbled landscape, is well on it's way with the altar of humility destroyed along with Virtuebane. The moongate has reopened lit with lanterns to aid travelers in visiting the city.  Roadways have been roughed out to form the dawn of a new era here along with deep water docks and the first of npc establishments in the Fishermans/ Shipwrights guild and the Modest Damsel dockside Inn.     Also noted was the replacement of the altar area along the north beach, long used as a wedding location for smitten couples around the realm.  The gods have seen fit to open the area to player housing in the form of a plot lotto with ticket sales available at each of the twenty two plots in the isle. With tickets ranging from 2k per chance for southern plots to 10k per shot at the northern variety. Sales have been good as then of thousands of tickets have already been purchased as the community is anxious to be a part of the upcoming new area in the realm. The most desired pictured below already has 25k in tickets sold making it the most desired plot to this point. With 7 days left before the winning tickets are selected, anything can happen!  Several areas are still fenced off as under construction, one can only speculate what these areas might become.  Scattered among the various new construction, a new feature has emerged as the city is open for citizens to plant thier own flora as spots are beginning to form around the city. Communites and indiviuals alike are already making siginifigant contributions.    Two plots were even placed along the north beach itself although as of now no one knows wether or not they'll remain after the authorities review placement. Apparently as a result of the build the royal surveyors did not retain the rights to the seaside plot. The other is owned by "EA" . Cannot fault the homeowners from the village of Merxmere for thier happenstance of good fortune! With any luck the powers that be will let the fresh construction remain!  We will keep our eyes peeled for the next week or so as the lotto's end and the new city begins to rise from the ashes. We all look forward to what the reconstruction will bring to Sosaria.  Foolery began in the 1500's in France when the king changed the calendar for the celebration of the new year to the Gregorian calendar. Those people who didn't know or who chose to celebrate the new year in April became the butt of practical jokes. This is a worldwide event now and it is no different in Sonoma. The Sonoma Community Coalition hosted an event in Tokuno Friday evening, which would bring this foolery to life for the fine citizens of Sonoma. I caught up with Queen Mum, the April Foolery emcee, before the event as she was placing jester costumes outside the house. Was there a twinkle in her eye? I believed there was no doubt tonight would be an evening of fun and foolery. One by one, the guests began to arrive, and gathered around the scene. The doors to the house were locked. What would this evening bring us we wondered? Soon the guests began to don the jester costumes and there we stood, a fool's troop, waiting for the night of fun and frivolity.  Mum then arrived and began to explain. Apparently, she had constructed a maze in the house that would be a challenge to us all. We were to make it through this maze to the top floor, gathering prizes as we stumbled around looking for the hidden transporters that would take us through each level of the maze. Soon we entered the dizzying multicolored first floor. It was a surrealistic scene as the jesters wandered around looking for the transporter to the second level. One hitch though, some transporters would take you back to the beginning of the maze. There were multi-colored chests along the way, which carried prizes for this foolhardy, confused, troop of jesters. Then, in an instant, one found the magic portal to the second level. The group followed. Some were not as observant and continued our circular walk on the first level. In fact, this reporter was left alone on the first level to wander hopelessly. Someone came to my aid though and we made our way to the second level to find more of the same. Multi-colored gaza and hidden transporters held a gateway to the final destination. Happily, I was led quickly through this cacophony to our final destination where we found a group of weary jesters sitting around in a circle, sipping wine and perhaps snickering as we listened to the footsteps of the 'lost ones' below us.  Congratulations were also shouted out as Hera [TI] was awarded the grand prize of the pushme-pullu statue, a soulstone fragment and a heritage token for being the first player to reach April Foolery ‘the Llama” first. All other players were handed a soul fragment or a heritage token as a consolation prize for making it through the 4 story maze! *Also a special Happy Birthday shout out went to Princess [OSG] who received a special Birthday present from the Sonoma Community.  The evening of joke telling began as the wine cleared our heads of the chaos we had just been through. Each jester had a joke to tell to the eager gathering. First Aid began with her story of two nuns driving in a car, when a vampire landed on the hood of the car. Both were stunned and the first nun said, "You'd better show him your cross!" The second nun quickly opened her window and yelled. “I don't like you!" Kupoking followed with his story of two bogglings who went into a pub for drinks. The pub owner said, "We don't serve your kind here." The boggling said, “Why not! I am a fungi!"  Laughter was abundant as silliness was the order of the evening. Lubku Gotwok kept the merriment going with her hilarious laugh. "Har, har, snort", she belly laughed throughout the evening. Jocelyn continued...."How do you catch a unique rabbit?" The crowd speculated and Jocelyn stated, "unique up on it." Soon we were at the ever favorite 'knock knock' jokes. The drunken gathering reveled in their silliness.  Finally, the prizes for the best and worst jokes were handed out. Kupoking [MoG] won 500k and the best joke prize for his hilarious “Boggling is a fungi”. Tui [MoG] won 500k and the worst joke of the night with something about a tinker that left many of us wondering if it truly was an April Fools joke – on us! The Stratics 1 Million gold Knock Knock contest was won by Jocelyn [HELP] who had a pocket full of them. No one left empty handed as Mum handed each one of us 50k in gold!  Rebuilding Magincia. New Magincia After liberating the town or whats left of it from the blackrock golems it is time to slowly rebuild Maginica. Or must i say New Magincia! The easiest way to travel to New Maginia is using the moongates.  The sailors among us could use the large docks south of the island. Even some large Britannian ships can easily find a parking spot there.  For our crab/lobsters fishers there is a crabfisher in the house near the docks that sells traps. Thats handy so you not always need to sail to the seamarket.  Right outside the fishers house is a hitching post where you can stable or claim your pets.  At the South East of the island we find the new bank.  A little bit North from the bank i found a arcane circle for our spellweavers.  In Magincia there will be 22 house plot to won trough a lottery. 11 houses on the north side cost 10000 gold a ticket. (Only one ticket can be bought per plot a account)  On the south side there 11 more house at 2000 gold a ticket. (no limits in buying tickets)  If you want a chance in New Magincia better wait not too long. You have 8 days left. If you want to help to make Magincia more pretty you can grow your own plants all around Magincia. You do need to see the gardeners first and buy a Hoe.   Find yourself a nice place for your plants and use the Hoe to dig a hole.  Like for plants in a bowl its best to start to water the dirt first before planting the seed! I don't have much of a green thumb so i cheated by using a crystallized essence.  And with the magical powers of the crystal my plant was fully grown!   There is still a lot to be done in New Magincia. Several places still have building places under construction.  For those who want a house in New Magincia, good luck with the lottery! | [EM Event] Sleuths hunt for eggs early! | | |

| Daniel crept into the hall at Serpent’s Hold quiet as a mouse. His students, chatting among themselves, didn’t even notice his arrival until he spoke. Sonoma’s junior sleuths were ready and eager for another lesson, but before we could get into that, Daniel had a few promotions to announce. Because of their dedication, Queen Mum, Lady Queen Elf Sandy and Jocelyn were each promoted to the rank of “Flatfoot”, an honorary title to be sure! Each received a sash bearing their title. Congrats to each of them.  Our detective activity for the night was a simple assignment… find 10 colored eggs where one would not expect to find eggs. Daniel continued… “You might say eagles lay eggs, but you would expect to find eggs on birds, you might say snakes and alligators lay eggs, again you expect it.” Our minds went racing… eggs… eggs… eggs… where does one find eggs that would not be expected. Bears? No eggs… Dragons… dragons lay eggs… but you would expect that… hmmm… bunnies someone said. AHHA!! Vorpal bunnies are rumored to have colored eggs. Soon we found ourselves inside the farmer’s pens on the south side of Moonglow Island. Sleuths began planting the special green thorns and before we knew it we had vorpal bunnies running everywhere. As amateur detectives we had to work hard to catch and slay the bunnies, but soon enough we found our eggs.  A tired bunch, we headed back to the hall to continue our sleuth training with a decoding lesson. Daniel passed out the notes, each with the same coded message.  We had to put our heads together for this one, but eventually we had it spelled out: “The most important lesson I learned at the Encyclopedia Magika School or Alchemy was “never lick the spoon”. An important bit of wisdom for all.  Daniel concludes the lesson with a reminder that next week’s lesson will involve horses and will be meeting that the Britain racetrack. Out of all the items in your wonderful Museum which one means the most to you and which one is your personal favorite? The Rotting Minotaur Skull is special because it was the first event item I ever got. I had just reactivated after a couple years break and got that the first night back. I didn’t even know it was a rare till months later. I sold it for 20m because I really didn’t know much about rares back then. I looked for years to replace it with no luck. My wife got it for me a couple months back at an Idoc. The Hole is my favorite item by far and it brings you to Navy Night Eyes in abyss.  Items With Special Abilities And More! -Felucca Victim if you say "winner" it does a saying -Collected Memories From The Death Wisps is a oracle Command words 1.Corp 2.Wis 3.Ort 4.Xen 5.Vas Kal An mani In Corp Hur Tym -Cult of The Styx Star Chart works like a spyglass, telling you the phases of the moon -Pirate eye patch works like a spyglass, telling you the phases of the moon -Head of a cauldron born daemon acts like an archery butt -Portrait of Casca acts as dart board -Wanted poster of Casca acts as dart board -Black Hole brings you too the spider boss in abyss -Projectile Orc acts like a Mesanna cream pie -Back Alley Deals acts as a sextant -Self- imoblating Secret Notes do a flamestrike animation when double clicked -Crying of dead baby ring, freaks people out -Server Birth Wooden Ladder on first floor is movable, able to be locked down and used -Pentagram, 17 pieces  Not only are the items and displays beautiful but some have historical value to Chesapeake and many other shards. They were suppose to act like normal runebooks but players could not drop runes onto them. Chesapeake EMs create items when a storyline gets to its climax, so these items are special because it marked the climax of the Servant storyline Without using Manticors Event Item List, can you tell me what shard the Finger paints came from and the name of the famous Goblin who did the lovely artwork? From the Baja shard and the Goblins name is the Yattering  The Rares Community has seen its share of shady in game brokers and scammers throughout the years running big time heists. I have personally been a victim before and seen so many other players lose their shirt and priceless items along it. In the end the players quit and it is not something I wish to see continue. Seeing as you are well respected and trusted in the Rares Community would you being willing to share a few names with us? I was unable to recontact Lineman for a list but I did notice that he is once again working with Demon Slayer and Sundina of the Chesapeake shard at the Rares Festival Auction house on Lake Superior for the third time and thats all I can say.
