Bundor Bard:
Welcome to BNN.
I'm Bundor Bard and this is the second broadcast in our new weekly format. We bring many exciting reports to you tonight. First we have a live interview with the Dark Mistress herself, Lady Minax. And then we'll bring you commentary from Lim the Slightly Angry. And finally we hope to speak with a group of grand master mages and learn their reaction to certain recent revelations. Right now we go live to Lilia Morgan standing by with BNN's own Drenon Quick.

Lilia Morgan:
Good evening Bundor. BNN just recently dispatched our ace reporter Drenon on a journey to find one of Minax's war camps. He was accompanied by several BNN bodyguards and has apparently been able to arrange a brief parle with the dark mistress herself. Drenon?

Drenon Quick:
Thank you Lilia. I'm here with Minax the dark witch. Lady Minax, the journey was harrowing, but we are truly grateful for this opportunity to speak you here and now.

Minax:
Another reporter, what a treat.

Drenon Quick:
You've had ample time to react to Lord British's plans of retreating to a new and safer realm. What will you do in response?

Minax:
Lord British sings a lovely little tune, but in truth what is he saying? He's saying I've won. This pathetic land is actually mine. Which is all good and well of course, but you can tell wee Lord British that his escape will be but short lived. I'll yet see him sitting on his tiny throne as he watches his realm burn. His kingdom will turn to ash before his very eyes and I'll enjoy a hearty laugh as he weeps with helpless impotence.

Drenon Quick:
Well, I suppose we all need goals. What's next for the conquering Minax?

Minax:
I've an empty feeling inside, something's missing. This has been a hollow victory as long as Lord British yet lives. And then there's Dupre and Shamino. I've a special kind of pain in mind for that meddlesome ranger. Oh! and one cannot forget the lovely Malabelle. I look forward to a nice long chat with her over a steaming pot of fresh tea and perhaps some scones. Hmmm, no, maybe I'll just hunt her down like the treacherous dog she is. Though in saying that, I feel I have done a great disservice to dogs everywhere. Ahh, well, they'll get over it.

Drenon Quick:
You seem to have mixed feelings about Malabelle. Are you divided as to the fate you intend for her?

Minax:
Divided is a good beginning, beyond a doubt. Followed then by quartered and so on 'til just tiny little, but then you'll have a big mess to cleanup and no one wants that. Perhaps it's truly best if we just talk. You hear that dear Malabelle? Come home to Minax, it'll make everything alright.

Drenon Quick:
I'm sure we all eagerly await word of the prodigal daughter's return.

Minax:
Blech.

Drenon Quick:
Eh, right. Well it looks like we're out of time, any final thoughts before we close Lady Minax?

Minax:
Just this. I'll be seeing you British. I'll be seeing you real soon. If you think you've escaped my vengeance you're sadly mistaken. Sleep well in your little cocoon sweet butterfly.

Drenon Quick:
Right, then, yes, thank you Lady Minax. Lilia back to you at BNN central.

Minax:
Keeonean, the previous reporter's fallen off his stake, replace him at once.

Keeonean:
It would be a pleasure Mistress, drop your sword Drenon. You're outnumbered and trapped.

Lilia Morgan:
Drenon? Drenon are you there? We seem to have lost contact as soon as we know more, BNN will bring you the details. Back to you Bundor.

Bundor Bard:
Thank you Lilia, we'll be back with more BNN after these words from our sponsor. I'm Bundor Bard and you're listening to BNN.

You're back with BNN. As part of our new weekly format, we are going to be bringing you, the listener, a variety of alternative view points on the continuing Crisis in Britannia. We have with us today our guest commentator Lim the Slightly Angry. The views of Mr. Angry are not necessarily those of BNN.

Lim the Slightly Angry:
Thank you. People of Britannian, I come to you to day as a humble student of history, a scholar that seeks to know that which none do not find, that understand that which none may see, that...oh yes, right. We are told that Britannia is in grave peril. Well I submit to you that Britannia has been great peril for a good many years now. We have suffered from a lack of strong leadership. A government that sees fit to restrict the free trade of nightshade for recreational use. A guard force that will kill anyone with whom they disagree. This tyranny must end my friends. This dictatorship of the feeble must be stopped. We have heard much of Lord British these days and his brave leadership in these troubled times. I ask you, can Lord British even find Britain on a map? What about Vesper? What about Paws? You can't find Paws either can you? No, you can't! And you know why? Well I don't know why either, but I mean to find out. Oh, yes, anyway, there's a viable alternative for those who seek the warm embrace of liberty's bond and that is the Stewardship of Minax. After all, we are pretty certain she can find Trinsic on a map at least now, aren't we? Until next time, this is Lim the eh Slightly Angry and you are listening to Britain's Craven Propagandists at BNN.

Bundor Bard:
Thank you Mr. Angry. I understand some of your fans are standing outside the studio waiting to get your...

Lim the Slightly Angry:
Don't touch me peasant!

Bundor Bard:
Welcome back to BNN. Today in the news a Council of Mages has convened for a meeting in Moonglow at the Lycaeum. We're standing by live with BNN's Lady Machiavelli. Lady Mach?

Lady Machiavelli:
Thank you Bundor, right now, the meeting has broken up and we're waiting for some of the more powerful mages to emerge from this very private conference. I must say it has been quite an eventful day, and it's turning out to be an even more interesting evening. We're hoping to have more details on the amazing circumstances that have unfolded in the last few days. As soon as grand master mage Anon cane break away from the mage Tierstal. Before we speak with Anon here in just a second, let me review what we know now Bundor. We have been able to confirm that many of the mages attending this gathering of Sorcerers have grave concerns about what they have learned with recent events surrounding Lord British and his royal mage Nystul. These mages have quite bluntly called upon Nystul to answer for his actions. What is repeatedly being seen here Bundor is an almost angry sentiment being directed toward Nystul and even toward Lord British as well. As one outspoken mage named Malak put it, "He has no right, royal mage or no. If one mage gets free seconds from the dessert cart, all should. That's how I feel and that's what's right and proper." I'm being informed that the views of this particular mage do not reflect those of the rest of the council. Ah here comes Anon now, with Tierstal in tow. Seamus, will you send one of the lads to ask Tierstal for his autograph so I can get some one on one converstation with Anon? Thank you. Anon, welcome to our live BNN broadcast and good evening to you sir.

Anon:
Greetings to you Lady Machiavelli.

Lady Machiavelli:
Anon, we appreciate your time. What can you tell us about the concerns of the mages gathered here?

Anon:
We've learned of Lord British's plan to abandon the land we call home to the clutches of Minax. He and Nystul apparently intend to open the way to another dimension or ethereal plain, facet, whatever they're calling it now and then just drag all the rest of us along with them. It seems we are expected to just blindly accept that there is another version of Britannia biding it's time out there and that we should up and move there with all haste. Minax or not, what kind of plan is that?

Lady Machiavelli:
And this is our only choice?

Anon:
So they would have us believe. A panicked flight brought on by a fear of standing ground and facing our foes if thou were to ask me. What kind of monarch tucks tail and runs at the first, well okay, the thousandth sign of danger? If Lord British expects much or even any support for this course of action, our so called Liege needs to very hastily become quite forthcoming with the details and reasons behind this scheme.

Lady Machiavelli:
One more question sir. Is anything known about how they are able to open the way to this other world?

Anon:
As yet we have little or no information regarding how any of this was actually accomplished. Various rumors have circulated among the various mages present tonight. Some say it involved the mysterious moonstones that are turning up in greater numbers with each passing day. Others say Shamino learned the method Minax uses to travel from her realm to this one and they intend to use that knowledge. Still others say that it all stems from the lack of equality in the distribution of desserts when one compares mages of the highest station to those of a more lowly status. Though few of us actually give much credence to what poor Malak thinks.

Lady Machiavelli:
Uh, uh, right. Well Bundor we're running out of time down here, so Anon thank you for your time. It's been most educational.

Anon:
Speaking with thee has been an unbearable pleasure Lady Machiavelli.

Lady Machiavelli:
Well Bundor, there you have it. Separating revelation from rumor is never an easy task, but a pending exodus seems to have become more than just idle chatter.

Bundor Bard:
Thank you for that revealing interview Lady Machiavelli and thank you for listening. This is BNN.
