Well, honestly, I didn't go to the wake expecting simply a eulogy and good ale. It was clear, from the get go, that things were not all completely above the table. Upon entering the Keg and Anchor there was a strange character running around with the name 'a wisp' with no capitals. Now, while it may be that this was simply a creative player who started a dummy character for the event on ATL, that wouldn't make a whole lot of sense considering that the event was being held on every server, and that it started 3 hours late on ATL. So, this left the few of us who felt his presence was strange to consider other options. Some of us attempted to converse with this 'person', we would almost take the requests for conversation to an annoying level, only to get the same response back that went like this:

"I" will not speak with "you"

Brother LichBane: a wisp is watching

a wisp: "I" am observing.

Sir Yorik: hi wisp

a wisp: hello

Sir Yorik: what are you doing[?]

{I lost connection soon after this, tried to get back in as soon as I could}

a wisp: "I" will not say.

Sir Yorik: what will it hurt[?]

Sir Yorik: my ears are not delecate

a wisp: The information does not concern "you".

Sir Yorik: not even if im interested[?]

a wisp: "I" will not answer any of "your" questions.

Sir Yorik: are the wisps spying so that they may conquar[conquer] humans[?]

{At this point, the 'wisp' stopped talking to Sir Yorik, another picked up the conversation}

Brother LichBane: Wisp what dost thou seek to observe?

Brother LichBane: Wisp what dost thou seek to observe?

a wisp: "I" will not speak with "you".

Brother LichBane: Well then whom dost thou wish to speak with and perhaps we can find "them"

a wisp: "You", human, cannot assist "me".

{keep in mind, that to us, the 'wisp' was, or appeared as a human}

Brother LichBane: Perhaps not, but who can help thee?

a wisp: "I" will speak with "you" no longer.

Brother LichBane: Well then thy will quickly become unintersted since no one else is speaking wit

Rainman: It is merely a person in disguise
Rainman: pay him no heed

Brother LichBane: He was polymorphed by Nystul

Rainman: When did he say that?
Rainman: You're talking babble

Brother LichBane: Earlier I was asking him questions

Brother LichBane: a wisp was polymorphed into human form

Rainman: Hail, Fair creature

Rainman: Do you bring any news from the Time Lord?

Rainman: Pardon me, Sir Wisp

Alarich: a wisp, has the Guardian sent you?
Rainman: Could you explain to me what significance your presence has for us?
Rainman: Wisp, please speak in english for me, if you can
Rainman: I wish to chat with thee
Alarich: wisp, talk now!
Rainman: Please, be patient with the wisp
Rainman: his polymorphing cannot be an easy or relaxing matter
Rainman: Wisp, What does your presence here signify for us?
Alarich: but we need to try different things ;)
Rainman: Please, talk to me

At that point, the wisp stopped talking to us. Nothing else we said would coax him to speak another word. I have one other mention of him in my journal, uttering the words of power "In Mani". I don't remember him healing anyone during the affair, but it could've easily escaped my attention as there were virtue guards dueling in the bar for the entire 5 hour ordeal.

 I dont know. Which should almost be the battle cry of my investigation of this storyline so far. At this point in the reading, make sure you've read the log of the wake I have on the menu on the left. A wisp being polymorphed by Nystul would make for an interesting twist, but I can't confirm it. If anyone else experienced a tight-lipped 'wisp' on any of the other shards that mentioned being polymorphed into human form, drop me an e-mail.

It surely would add interest to the story if Nystul is somehow secretly involved in this. If he's polymorphing wisps into humans for the purpose of "observing" a wake, it would mean to me that he is either involved in these plots, or is aware of their existence and is attempting to protect the king[Lord British]. On the other hand, it could all just be some kid who decided to name a mule character 'a wisp' and battle horrendous lag and probably a number of client crashes to fool us all into thinking so. We can only hope.

As to the appearance of Zog, and his claim to be a part of Legion: I'm told that Legion is some form of Guild (non-PC I would imagine).Zog (or '?' on ATL) seemed to merely be giving loudmouth threats to all of us to expect our doom to come soon. He 'confirmed' Duryn's claim that he used people on the inside with his phrase: "OUR reach has penetrated the very strata of all considered to be sacred by thee. OUR influence breathes down thine neck." From that, I guess we can assume that Duryn was an agent of Legion. Just exactly what motive they could have killing the trainer of the guards in Trinsic is beyond me. Perhaps they were only flexing their own muscles, proving their ability to infiltrate. Indeed, the battle afterwards, I'm told, started with several city guards dying at the hands of NPC mages. Perhaps Legion wanted to prove their ability to destroy law enforcement and create bloodshed from it.

I wasn't able to attend much of the battle after the Wake, mainly because I decided to attack the NPC mages that were two screens away from the outside of Trinsic, {and well outside of the guard zone}only to be killed by a guard on the screen because I fired an EB. Yeah, I know. Anyway, I was quickly looted of my nice set of gold plate, and everything else on me by some coward who refused to give it back. To conclude this paragraph, if someone has anything interesting to add that happened in the defense of the guard tower, send it to me. :)
