The Plant Menu
The plant menu allows you to keep track of your plant's health, as well as additional information, such as whether or not it has produced resources or seeds.

Main Menu

1) Growth Level -- Displays the growth stage your plant is currently at. Plants are considered full-grown at stage 7, and can start producing seeds at stage 9.

2) Growth Indicator - Displays a symbol that tells you what happened the last time the plant tried to grow:
  • No symbol: Unknown - meaning there was an error, or the plant has not yet grown at all.
  • Red ! : The plant did not grow because it was in an invalid location. This means the plant must either be sitting out on the ground, or it must be inside your backpack.
  • Red - : The plant did not grow because it was not healthy. A plant must be either "healthy" or "vibrant" in order to grow.
  • Yellow - : The plant did not grow because it had not been 23 hours since it last grew. Plants can only grow once every 23 hours.
  • Blue + : The plant successfully grew.
  • Green + : The plant successfully grew, and got an extra bonus growth from being planted in fertile dirt.
3) Help Button -- This button opens the in-game Codex of Wisdom and takes you to the section on the plant system.

4) Empty Bowl Button -- Allows you to empty the contents of a plant bowl and start over. The seed that was originally planted in the bowl will appear in your backpack.

5) Health Display -- Displays the general health of your plant.

6) Reproduction -- This button will take you to the Reproduction menu (see below) where you'll be able to track your plant's seed and resource count.

7) Infestation -- A yellow + symbol beside this button means your plant currently has a low infestation problem. A red + symbol means that the infestation level is much higher. Clicking the button itself will take you to the specific section on Infestation in the in-game Codex of Wisdom.

8) Fungus -- A yellow + symbol beside this button means your plant currently has a fungus problem. A red + symbol means that the fungus level is much higher. Clicking the button itself will take you to the specific section on Fungus in the in-game Codex of Wisdom.

9) Poison -- A yellow + symbol beside this button means your plant is slightly poisoned. A red + symbol means your plant is severely poisoned. This is usually the result of applying a Greater Poison potion to your plant when it does not have an infestation problem. Clicking the button itself will take you to the specific section on Poison Level in the in-game Codex of Wisdom.

10) Disease -- A yellow + symbol means your plant is slightly infected with a disease. A red + symbol means your plant is severely infected. This is usually the result of applying a Greater Cure potion to your plant when it does not have a fungus problem. Clicking the button itself will take you to the specific section on Disease Level in the in-game Codex of Wisdom.

11) Water -- The -/+ symbol next to the water button displays your plant's current water level. A yellow or red - symbol means your plant could use some more water, while a yellow or red + symbol means you plant has had too much water.

12-15) Potion Buttons -- These buttons will allow you to automatically apply a specific potion to a plant, as long as that potion is in your backpack. Just click the button and the potion will be applied.
  • Greater Poison - Used on plants with an infestation problem.
  • Greater Cure - Used on plants with a fungus problem.
  • Greater Health - Used to improve the general health of a plant.
  • Greater Strength - Used to strengthen a plant and help prevent infestation and fungus problems.

Reproduction Menu

Pollination State -- Displays the current pollination state of the plant.
  • A yellow - symbol indicates that the plant has not yet produced any pollen, as it has not reached full maturity.
  • A red ! symbol indicates that the plant has entered its pollen producing state, and can have pollen gathered from it, or be cross-pollinated to.
  • A green + symbol indicates that the plant has been pollinated (either by itself, through natural self-pollination, or by the pollen of another plant). While you can still gather pollen from a plant in this state, the plant can no longer be the target of cross-pollination.
  • You can gather pollen from a mature plant by clicking the pollen button (bottom left). You will get a targeting cursor which you can use on another plant that has not been pollinated.
Resource Production -- Certain plant type and color combinations can result in a plant that can produce unique resources. A plant will begin producing resources at the same time it produces seeds (when it reaches its maximum growth level). A plant will only produce resources if it is healthy.
  • A red X symbol indicates that the plant has produced its maximum amount, or that it is not yet at the appropriate maturity level in which to produce resources. If your plant is not of the correct type/color combination for resource production, the red X means that it will not produce resources.
  • If you do have a resource-producing plant, you will see a number (0/8) in place of the X once the plant reaches the appropriate maturity level. This number indicates how many resources the plant has produced and can produce. All resource-producing plants can produce a maximum of eight resources each.
  • You can collect any resources that your plant may have produced by clicking on the gather resource button (bottom center).
Seeds -- When a plant reaches its maximum growth level, it will no longer grow in size, but will instead produce seeds any time a growth check is performed.
  • The type of seed that a plant produces is determined by whether it pollinated itself, or if pollen from another plant was applied to it during the cross-pollination process.
  • Once your plant has been pollinated, you will see a number (0/8) next to the seed icon. This number indicates how many seeds the plant has produced and can produce. All plants that can be pollinated can produce a maximum of eight seeds each. A red X symbol indicates that the plant has produced its maximum amount.
  • You can collect any seeds your plant may have produced by clicking on the gather seeds button (bottom right).
