GOOD ACTIONS
Give gold to NPC beggar
Give fish/food to any NPC that will take it.
Give items to appropriate NPC (ie. cloth to tailors, reagents to mages)
Kill bad things (mongbats, liches, GM Wile E*)
Complete NPC quests (other than murder)
Some things to note on improving notoriety:
- Notoriety is capped at 1 point per 15 minutes.
- The 15 minute cap is on the server where you are currently located - it
is possible to cross server boundaries and therefore, not get
your 15 minute counter reset.
- It takes over 30 hours to make Great Lord (provided you don't cheat)
- It takes longer to go from neutral to honorable than any other advance,
in fact Noble Lord to Great Lord is the shortest.
- No. 3 makes sense because it also means going from Great Lord to Noble Lord
also happens the fastest.
- Notoriety atrophies. This means it takes even longer than expected
to go up.
- There are more things you can do to drop notoriety than to raise it.
Plus, once you get to Dark Lord, give up on raising it. You will be
attacked by every self-righteous PK in the game. If you kill them, you
go down farther.
Finally, Dark Lords and below can only resurrect at the Chaos Shrine or from
evil NPC healers. Since Evil NPC's healers have zero life expectancy,
you have to resurrect at the Chaos Shrine. To make this more interesting,
the Chaos Shrine does not show up on the radar map, nor is it on the map that
shipped with the game. However, I'm feeling helpful so:

*10,000 gold + his e-mail address to anyone
who brings me his head and GM robe.
