As everyone who has played this game for any length of time, knows there are many strange and peculiar ways player vs player combat can progress at any given time. Well, that said, I was counseling late one night, and I had recived a strange call with a simple message stating "My boat is blocked in by other boats.". Well, usually these calls are easily to handle, as it is a simple matter of a GM moving the stuck player. But this one was different, for when I had arrived there, there was a naval battle going on in the middle of the ocean. Two groups of player pirates had started a war on opposite sides of the callers boat, and a few of them were summoning "create food" (hams) around his boat. Now, this befumbled the caller, (and me at the time), as he could not understand why in the world they were creating hams (This is not normal warfare one would think), until it was too late. Soon, his boat was fully enclosed in hams and a war ensued. Since the boat was blocked, the caller had to furiosly run and try to pick up the hams then back to the tillerman to give commands, but even then, the pirates were too many to handle for him, and he soon sucummed to the dreaded OOOoooOOOoooOOO.
As counselors, we cannot interfere in such events, and we have to wait aside until the events are over so as to be neutral even while being on a call. But he understood, and we both had a good laugh after it was over, as it was a very strange pirate tactic indeed.
I assume now that, there are a group of sad pirates out there that have lost a treasured naval battle tactic, now that the food is created in ones pack.
