This was fairly early in my career as a Blue Robbed wanderer of our fair lands. I had answered a call from a player. Don't recall what the call was about, but it was fairly innocent.
I arrived in the middle of a very heated pvp battle. Now, I rather quickly gathered that this was a bad time to call, but as I feel it's rude to just show up and leave with no words spoken, I asked "I gather this is a bad time? Call again later if you like." And then I left.

Now, I had thought this was completely fair to all, and justified. Imagine my surprise when about 5 minutes later a GM nabs my attention with this msg "I just took a harrasement complaint from a player who says you killed him. What's up?"

Apparently, when I had spoken, the player had just cast a spell and hit my words instead of his target. And, as we all know, Counselors cannot be killed so his spell went *poof*.

Ah well, chalk it up to a learning experience.
