Crisis in Britannia, Day 55.
I'm Matthew the Bard and you're listening to Britannia Network News.
In the headlines today.
While private citizens stemmed the tide of attacks on seven of Britannia's cities,
everyone wonders, "Where is Lord British?" The noble was captured one week ago and there is still no news of his possible whereabouts. Lord companion Dupre is said to be scouring the countryside near Yew in a desperate search to find his monarch and oldest friend. More after these words.
Male voice:
So you just give me the gold.
Female voice:
Ya?
Male voice:
And I transfer the house to you.
[Sound of gold dropping]
Female voice:
Cool! Thanks a lot!
Male voice:
Oh...it was my pleasure.
[Sound of man recalling away]
Female voice:
Hey! Awwww...
Another male voice:
Has this happened to you? It was probably us, the Thieves Guild. Wanna join? Warning: Use of the Thieves Guild may lead to empty backpacks, chests, and houses.
Matthew the Bard:
Welcome back to BNN. In other news, citizens of the city of Yew continued to recover from the attack by hordes of gazers last week. The gazers struck quickly, freeing the captive
orc being questioned by the druid Selzhanik. Later, it was discovered that the orc was slain by his rescuers. It is not yet known why this was done.
In Moonglow, a miracle or just dinner? A woman claimed last night that the face of Lord British can be seen in the side of a ham she purchased from a mysterious roving vendor. As word of the mealtime miracle spread, crowds began to gather at the woman's home. Makeshift shrines were built and citizens held a candlelight vigil all night, praying to the miraculous face. One man claimed to have his blindness cured, while praying to the "Holy Ham". There was no comment on the incident from the temporary government in Britain.
