Often I am asked how do I decide on which players to feature in this series. There are many ways I go about that. Guests have been famous, infamous and little known. Some I seek out, others seek me out and some are suggested by other players.

The process is simple for those that do not know. After meeting the player in the realm I email them questions, they answer and email them back. Since this is a questionnaire and not an interview often the same questions are asked however there are always questions that are custom fit only to that guest.

Needless to say this takes time and work on my part. 90% of the players that are sent questions reply and become guests. Then there are the other 10% that I never hear from after all my work. It is not just the answers and meeting them in the realm but also finding, searching and taking photos or screenshots to go with the questionnaire. I do this work ahead of time so I can post and be prepared when the guest returns answers.

Over the years the majority that have not returned answers after all my work have been players that make Fel home. I always found this odd as in the past often I was criticized for not representing Fel enough. Lava Lava's Questionnaire is a good format to make one known and to promote Fel and PvP play style.

In the past month I have had a handful of Q questions that have gone out and I have not heard back from them, including a player by the name Tortured Angel and I have collected so many great images for this player. Maybe I will hear from her still.

While passing the Brit Bank the other night on my way to the stables to met a friend I ran into you. You were shocked to actually see me in the realm. I feel as though I am all over the place all the time. How long have you been playing UO?
Since Christmas of 98. After all this time that you've been a reporter here, it IS the first time I've seen you, surprisingly enough! We should bring you to Fel and let you be an imbedded reporter for all the nitty gritty. Once you get some blood on your hands, you're hooked. Could you imagine Lady Lava the PvPer? Bumping into her rivals from Luna in Fel and slaying them with a few combos? I can teach you of course. In 3 hours you'd be better then most of Ult or XV, another 3 and you'd rank with an average BC mage, and give me a day and you could be whupping on PwNt. You might rival me for best dressed Feluccian.


Miss Fury is a mage. What other skills does she have and how do you play her?
Fury is a scribe mage ;)
In all seriousness she's got mage _eval resist swords bushido parry. I play her like I do any of my tanks, combo the weapon hit between a dump. Works like a charm on Ult, BC, XV, and most of PwNt. Definately a hard character to kill. Evasion is gimp as hell, but then again so is archery, ninjitsu, 4/6 chiv, pets, hide/stealth, and alot of other things.

Miss Fury is not totally scrolled. Where do you see her six months from now?
She'll have found that elusive 120 magery scroll. Six months from now who knows what OSI will have come out with. I sense another expansion coming. I doubt she'll be bushido parry. I'm sure its in for a large nerf. Mages are versatile. Just make sure you have the big 4 scrolled (mage _eval resist and weapon skill) and you can change your template on the fly.

You informed me you have both female and male characters but that you are male in real life. What do you like the most about playing a female character?
A good friend put it like this. Elf females can wear any piece of armor or artifact that comes along. Elf males can wear 95% of all armor and artifacts. Human females can wear 80% of all armor, and human males probably about 70%. Everyone knows me as Neoptolemos, heck its in Fury's guild title. I also inherited an account from a friend that was entirely female characters. But lets be honest, the real secret reason is it lets me show off my l33+ taste in clothing. I can dress a male or a female to look superb. If I wasn't straight I'd say I'd make a great fashion designer.

Your play style is mostly PvP. What do you like the most about this play style?
What is there to dislike about PvP?!?! I get to kill people. I wish PvP was more of the old fights in town vs. oranges, where the other people were actually interested in PvP.

What do you dislike the most about this play style?
I don't like the large grinders at choke points with bagballs and field spells at all. Its PvP for idiots. It really shows how imbalanced the game had to get before people could compete. People who can't cross heal, can't synch, and have no intuition band together with rediculous templates to hold a single tile wide entryway to a spawn or harrower? No thanks. Spawn PvP in most spots is lame. I wanna fight other people, not other people + random rat mages casting on me. Outside CoD, Khaldun, Oasis, and Desert are good cause there is open fields to fight in.

That price gougers are able to go red. You know by themselves then can never kill anyone. That the GM of a certain guild can sucker guildmates into spending tax returns on UO gold for his guild only to spend it on junk for an auction house and still manage to be horrible. How mighty OSI has fallen. Go lamp team go! I'll keep beating them in Fel, maybe Alvino can beat them in Doom :D

I gave up sticking to straight scribe mage when ML came out. I fought pure scribe all the way until then, even when archery was just uber 2 hit kill AIs. Then along came ML super weapons, WoD + AI instakill combos, the works. As a person who spends alot of time soloing or small groups I just decided to use whatever items are available to me. Comedy is when a stealth archer, 4/6 chiv mage, or a necro calls me a gimp.

Gimp - People who use overpowered templates to overcome deficiencies. See: Necro/Bushido/Parry or Rune Beetle + Mare.
Lawl - Text to speech in Ventrilo pronounces LOL as "lawl" used to show my humor at a person's PvP ability.
Trash - Someone horrid at PvP, 70% of the population now.
Tooled - Completely embarassed or humiliated. An easy victory.
Winner - Sage and I say this when something good happens.
Pwned - Owned. Self explanatory.
Punkbusted - My new favorite. I spam it when people die. People think I'm all cheats and Punkbuster is gonna force to me to quit. el oh el @ that. Punkbuster means all the ones who are cheating (yes you know who you are, and so do I) are gonna have an even harder time with me.

Often your posts or replys have screenshots from battle. What program do you use to take these shots and why don't you crop your pack out of these shots to make them look better?
Screenshot Captor. Why don't I? Cause everytime I crop them so I don't break the page I get the "LOL NO TASKBAR WHAT ARE YOU HIDING" crap from the peanut gallery second rate PvPers. Then I post the unedited ones and no one replies. You'd think they would learn by now.

Recently you used an illustration by the artist Chris R. Campbell in one of your posts. This sketch shows a young man exiting a clothes closet. Why this image?
Ahh because a few people need to step out of the closet so to speak. There's something about naming your main character after a guild you fight, only to have them leave the shard, it just plain stinks of stupidity. I think someone had or has a crush on HCM. Also the facination with me and my relationships is touching, the community concern means alot to me.

What is your favorite color?
Why, Pink of course! All my favorite things are pink you know ;) In UO it would be ice white or darkest evil mage. The new age and the classic. Gotta look good for those screenshots.

If you could change one thing about your appearance in real life what would it be and why?
I could use a good shave right now.

What is your all time favorite movie?
That's a tough one...for plot and story? Shawshank Redemption. Mindless action? Classic Schwartzenegger like Conan or Commando. Porn? Err oops nevermind.

Who are your favorite players in game? Who makes you laugh, who gives you a good fight?
Ahh my favorite people. The FS! crew of course. Necro, Sage, Battery, Lynk, MC, and Dorinda.
Good fights would have to be Xandros, Beerman, Corp, Whomp

What is your favorite fast food and why?
I try not to eat fast food anymore, but once in awhile I'll hit up the Wendy's dollar menu on the way home. 2 burgers a fry and a sprite. Taco Bell late night after hard partying on the weekends but its generally not a good idea to mix the alcohol and cheap mexican food...

What is your motto?
Life is Pain. Anyone who says differently is selling something.
