Player Interviews
Great Lakes - Player Interviews - Ooji
Lady Lava's Questionnaire

In the recent past Great Lakes has had a group of visitors called The Fallen Lords. They are still with us but for how long is a secret.
My guest today is none other than Ooji, the mouth piece and veteran player.

Your guild recently made an appearance on Great Lakes. I read we are part of the " World Tour of 2005 " for the Fallen Lords. Where did you come from and what is your next stop?
We started the tour on Lake Austin, Great Lakes is our second stop...our future stops are confidential in order to properly introduce ourselves to our new shardmates....we like to call it Shock and Awe.

Do you plan to create Ooji characters on all shards or will you just do the character transfers?
We transfer our main characters each time...totalling around 250 million for the guild per xfer.

I went to your website and was impressed. Who designed it?
Our webmasters are Ashen-Shugar and Cecil.

On your site I read a little history on the Fallen Lords. They seem to be part of a dark forgotten empire. Do any of the members of FL Role Play?
Yes some more than others, several are pretty serious.

How long have you been playing UO and when did you first hear of this game?
I have been playing since Beta. I heard of it in the early beta stages from my cousin and he let me make Ooji on his beta account and play it. I got my own account on Day 1 and have been playing ever since.

What player or players taught you the most about pvp when you were young?
I grew up as an archer/mage/thief in the streets of Trinsic as a character known as EdDennis for several years...I didn't have any mentors for pvp...but my main peer in my early days was a rogue named de Silentio, who has since become one of my best friends in real life.

I read a quote by Daniel of BC boasting that when he is home from work and in the realm there are more dead Fallen Lords. Have you yourself ever been killed by Daniel?
No not personally unless it was part of a large group fight and he hit me with an earthquake. In fact I have yet to die to any BC alone or in duels.

From your time on Great Lakes so far what one thing do you think is the best about Great Lakes?
The activity level of people in Fel. We enjoy competition....Lake Austin gave up after the first night..

What one thing do you dislike the most about Great Lakes?
The connections for us West Coasters...we truly run, cast and do everything just enough slower that it throws off our timing etc. Its survivable, but quite frustrating not being able to play to your full standard skillset due to technical reasons. I'm luckier because many of my attacks are damage over time and I'm uniterruptable...not quite so important that you get the spell combo timing precise.

Does the Fallen Lords have a guild color or colors?
Black and red but we don't use those in uniforms.

Briefly tell us the one most embaressing thing that has happened to you in the realm since you started to play.
Leaving a bag with all my exquisite armor and jewerly on the floor of my house unlocked (apparently) to put on a lower reg suit for some skill building and while I was out...it all decayed.

If you could change one thing about UO what would it be?
Tough question...I'd probably like houses to be lootable again. That way you have to be careful to keep your doors locked and defend your home...it added ALOT of excitement to the game when you were raiding a house to loot it or yours was being looted!

What was the last book you read?
The Necessity of Politics
Reclaiming American Public Life
by Christopher Beem

What do you admire most in a woman?
Independence, intellect, thoughfulness and compassion...oh yes and if they are hot and asian...that's serious bonus points *winks*

What is your motto?
In Game: Pay the Toll or Heads will Roll.
Out of Game: Down with George W. Bush.

It has been a pleasure having you as a guest and thank you for your time.
