Todays guest is another staff member. We get another glimpse behind the people who make this great site happen.~

At this time in history you are the Content Director and Forums Programmer for Stratics. Briefly describe what your job entails.
My job is varied and it seems a new hat arrives about once a week. As Content Director, I am responsible for Stratics Central, its various portals and the Exclusives Team. But, without the great staff that manages to keep things in order, I would fail miserably. The Forums Programmer position gives me the responsibility of upgrading our forum software and modifying it to provide new features for our staff and our viewers.

How long have you been in these positions?
I began assisting Xena Dragon with the forum software in mid 2001. I accepted the Content Director position in December 2005.

As far the the Forums are concerned what do you think is the biggest problem?
Problem? Do we have another problem? I can't think of anything that really stands out as a problem in the forums. But, after saying that, I would expect that 99 out of 100 staff, users and guests would have a problem they would like to discuss.

Your profile states you live in the state of California. I moved to California just a couple of years ago from the midwest. Have you lived in California your entire life and what do you like most about the area you live and work at this time?
I was born in Rochester, New York. In 1974, I accepted a job to be the Programming Manager for Itel Corporation (not Intel.) I've live here ever since (with a small timeout in Oregon.) I like the Sacramento area somewhat. The town I live in, Roseville, is a small town about 20 minutes east of Sacramento. It's hot here a few days in the summer. As I'm writing this, it's 103F (~40C), but the winters are mild.

Your profile also gives your age. If your birthdate stated is correct it makes you one of the senior employees of Stratics. Share with us one lesson you have learned through the years.
Yes, my birth date as stated is correct. I'm 69 years old. I think the greatest lesson I have learned is to treat everyone with respect. I have no enemies that I know of and everyone I meet, generally, is an instant friend. I trust everyone until they give me reason not to.

Your signature has a poem in it titled, "My Love". It is sadly romantic. Did you write this prose?
Yes, I wrote that. She still has my heart.

Twin waterfalls in the glow of moonlight are also in your signature. Do these waterfalls have any special significance to you?
She loves waterfalls.

When and how did you experience your first computer?
My first access to a comupter was while in the Air Force in 1961. When I left the AF I became very involved with IBM Main Frames. My first home computer was a "Kim". It was just a motherboard with a 20-key keypad. Output was a 6 character led module. Communication was with a teletype machine and data was stored on the teletype's paper tape.

Do you have a favorite keyboard and have you tried the Logitech G15?
I do have a favorite keyboard... it's manufactured by Focus Electronics. It has 12 programmable function keys. I think I have had three of these. But, funny you should ask about the G15. My daughter ordered one from New Egg and it arrived yesterday. I currently use Windows 2000 Pro and the G15 is supported only by XP. When I upgrade to XP, I plan on getting the G15 unless something comes out that is more advanced. It's the programmable keys that I like. They are very helpful with my programming here on Stratics.

What location in the world have you been to that you think is the most beautiful?
I have been in many countries in Europe, several provinces in Canada and 40 of our United States. I spent a little over a year in Oregon. Everywhere you look there is green, always, year-round. I saw snowflakes as large as baseballs and wild animals came to our back patio and let us feed them with our hands. I would have to say that was the most beautiful to me.

What word or phrase do you most overuse?
Probably "Dang!" or "Really?". On a side note, I have never said "I hate you" and I can never say "I Love You" enough.

What is your favorite color?
Purple.

If you had to choose between living at the base of a mountain or waters edge which would it be?
Hands down, this would be the water's edge. The clean smell, soft sounds of the waves, the voices of the seagulls and the flight of the pelicans are very pleasurable to me.

What do you admire most in a friend?
By far, that would be Trust!

What is your motto?
I learned this from a dear friend: Friends First and Friends Last!
