Ice is a very tough dungeon. You take cold damage from any monster that gets close to you; this damage reveals those who are hidden. Passing monsters tend to re target anyone they have just given cold damage to.
Tamers find it very hard to get close enough to their pets to use the veterinary skill on them because of it. There are always a few players running in panic with a monster or two in tow, which will happily decide to target you in passing.
It is a great dungeon for lockpicking, but take nothing of value with you when you go, and be prepared to lose it all.
Because of the tendency of monsters to wander down here, any monster can possibly be in any of the areas.

This area is usually well camped, making it relatively safe. Unfortunately the chests spawn in the same spot the arctic ogre lords do. You will often see other monsters here, particularly snow elementals, ice elementals and frost spiders. |

In all my trips into Ice to gather information, I never once saw this area without a hopeful tamer trying for the white wyrm. This doesn't make it safe though, as there are plenty of other monsters passing through at all times. There is always the possibility that the wyrm will eat the tamer and want you for dessert too. |
