| This Moongate, like all the other Ilshenarian Moongates, got its name from the Shrine it is located at.
The area around the gate suffers from a mild infestation of Ratmen and occasionally an Ancient Wyrm has found its way there, which means it isn't always the safest entry point to Ilshenar. The Compassion Moongate is one of the two gates that are close to the caves leading into the central part of Ilshenar.
