Armor. Whether made from hard-boiled leather or
shining steel, the armor you wear can be the difference between a
large bruise and a crushed skull. There is a fine balancing act
when attempting to protect your life. Strengthen your resistance against
one type of damage, and you will doubtlessly leave yourself open to
another. Various situations and fighting styles require varying amounts
of protection. There are many things to consider as you browse through
your selections. Who will you be fighting? What kind of damage do they
normally attack with? Are they intelligent enough to exploit a weakness
should you build up resistance to one kind of damage? Who else will be
in the area?
Stratics allows you to see what armor combinations will work
best for your fighting style and expected combat situation. Simply
check the boxes below corresponding to the armor pieces you wish to
evaluate and click submit. This page will reload showing you every
combination possible for the armors selected, and the resulting
resistances.
You may notice quite a few Armor pieces missing here, as well as any
mention of jewelry and weapons that add to your resistances. Rest
assured that as soon as that information is known, it will be included.
It should be noted that the only thing we're concerned with here is
resistances. Luck plays no part in these calculations, nor does any
increased durability or lowered requirements for use. Suffice it to say
that if you want luck, you need gold or spined leather.
Exceptional items have been left off this list, due to the randomness.
An exceptional item will gain 15 points of resistance, but that will be
distributed randomly among them. You may get all 15 in fire, or you
may get an even spread. Keep in mind, that with a full suit of
exceptional armor, covering all six wear locations (Legs, Trunk,
Arms, Hands, Neck and Head), the resistances will be up to an unlikely
90 points higher, though most likely those 90 points will be spread out
among all five resistances (unless of course, you specifically buy
them when they're all in one resistance).
I'll also note here that I am going under the assumption that Dragonscale
armor will not be able to make use of the special properties from ingots.
