UO Stratics - Hunter's Guide - Giant Ice Worm
The Giant Ice Worm

General Information

This relative of the Giant Ice Serpent normally lives under the snow in the icy regions of Britannia. They only appear above ground when a Green Thorn is planted in the snow they live in. (The Green Thorn is a resource harvested from Bright Green Snake Plants and Single Barrel Cacti)

The Worm is very much like Serpent cousin, except for its bite which can be extremely poisonous.

Animal Tamers can tame the Worm once it has been beaten into subjugation, this beating will cause the Worm to lose a great deal of its stats and skills though.

I've had one of these since the first month you could get them, i've trained him alot, he has 125 STR/125 DEX/125 INT, 125 Health/125 Stamina/79 Mana, GM Wrest/GM Tact/50's Resist/GM Anat/GM Poison, been trying to think of a creature that could get his resist up to GM without killing him instantly.
Just like with any pet, after you GM it's Anat, it will gain any stat under 125 like crazy up to 125. He can solo a Vorpal Bunny fast enough to where it won't go into it's hole. He does very good when paired with my Shadow Black Cu Sidhe, using the dog as a meatshield. Oddly enough, whenever i give him a command, he says "Very Well".

Cu Sidhe slayers

Cu sidhe are weak against poison but that doesn't make them any easier to kill. One of these puppies dealing Poison and a tamed cu sidhe take down the wild ones pretty fast. They are easy enough to train up. Until they bond take them to Jhelm then after they bond just take them to the cu sidhe spawn to train the rest. They die in one hit but if your cu sidhe is the primary target you shouldnt have anything to worry about =)

I love these things!!

If your a peace/tamer these things will just rip through hiyru's real quick! I have 4 of the little buggers and I have fallen in love with them. They also do a nice bit of damage to rune beetles. Virtualy everything has low cold resist so you can imagine how good they are against monsters. Havent tried them out in pvp yet, prolly die quickly cause low HP all have around 80 hp.

These r pretty good once trained up..!!

These worms may look useless or are useless when you first get them but once you get this guy bonded and 100.0 maxed it is like 2 freinzed ostards expecially if u have 100.0 Magic Resist.
