Loot info! (Tamed status coming soon)
Submitted by Anonymous on July 6th 2009.
Regards from Sammy of the Blue Lotus Guild. The best way to kill two reptalons is to provoke two of them on each other and keep a monitor peaced near by. once on dies, provoke the monitor against the reptalon. they both will die. i did this 3 times and heres some loot info if you had 100 luck:

1500-1650 gold
weak armor
weak weapons
sometimes, spellweaving spells

hope this will be useful

Not so hard

Reps aren't really hard to tame, I have more broblems with Cus. Just take friends who can heal and peace (if you can't) and it will be pretty easy :E

Very difficult to tame. very strong creature but when tamed, stats are really low. I tame a Cu in one minute or two. I spent 1 hour to tame this reptalon. I maked him fight again a Cu. The cu killed him in 20 seconds!
Please increase the stats !!!!

Not fair

Reps are deffinitly hard to tame, they are very mean too, their hits do some serious damage, but when you tame them, they are pretty weak, are they really worth all the trouble? i think they shouldnt lose so much stats when tamed.

Poison

They are poisonous

One thing

I only have two things to say. One: one of their fireballs could leave you dead. Two:they are very hard to tame.

Training
Submitted by Anonymous on November 12th 2006.
Use a shadow elem for training. Can dig one up out of any dull copper vein by using a gargoyle pick axe. Shadow elem won't take any damage from a pet, so you have constant training. No time loss looking for something else to kill. Mine is already over 102 wrestling and still going up off of just one shadow elem. Works with other types of pets too.

Tamed My First One
Submitted by Anonymous on October 4th 2006.
I am a mage/tamer and tamed my first one by myself. I ran into a few Minotaurs and a Miasma along the way, annoying.. but i just went invis and let me EV's kill them. Then I lured the Reptalon towards the entrance, and weakened him nearly to death, then lead tamed him. Took about 25 minutes. He shot fireballs at me while doing it, but it was easy to heal over with protection. But still he did manage to hit me once lol for 80+ outta my 95 hp. But didnt kill me.. the tame was mine! Interesting little perk on these...

From what I've been able to figure out by loring them, they can have up to 120.0 wrestling. Also, the hidden strength of the reptalon is the fact that their wrestling can be trained up to whatever it was BEFORE they were tamed. So if you're patient, you might be able to have a pet with legendary wrestling :)

Reptalons get the short end of the stick!

Most tamers use the Cu Sidhes. They are superior with the healing, and bleed attack, and resists, and more hit points. The poor Reptalon, though cute, doesn't even get magery! They should have necromancy. Imagine how nice it would be to have your Reptally spirit speaking, and bload oathing monsters! We need something done to them to give them the credit they deserve. Those ugly dogs are too superior.

Stronger than they apear...
Submitted by Antion_Vallin on May 1st 2006.
Ok, so their stats aren't as good as a Cu Sidhe, but their still tough none the less with a good vet. My reptalon seems to go 1 on 1 against wild reptalons on even ground, despite having lower stats. The damage output is also very close to the output of a Cu Sidhe.
How tough are they? My reptalon just took down both a minitaur THEN the Miasma that was helping the minitaur out in a 2 on 1 match. Miasma never Bleed him during this fight either.

The Reptalon is pretty strong but his brother Rend is Pure Evil. It takes a large group of people to kill him, and even then it takes a lot of effort. I got my reptalon tamed yesterday with the help of a peacer, its nearly impossable without one. Havent took him out for some fun yet, but i cant wait. :)

Rend is easy to kill

The reptalon is fairly easy to tame if you have peacemaking, the bigger brother rend is not tameable but can be killed quite easy with 2 tamers

Suggestions
Submitted by Anonymous on November 8th 2005.
As i explained in my last post, Reptalons are inferior compared to Cu Sidhes, even though the Reptalon is supposed to be the human's counterpart of the Cu Sidhe. What i suggest is that the devs change the Reptalon's special abilities to balance them better. Either give the Reptalon the Meer Eternals Blood Suck Spell, which damages the enemy and heals the caster, or give the Reptalon the constant life leeching attacks like a Vampire Bat has, these will allow the Reptalon some form of healing itself and bring it more up to par with the Cu Sidhe.

Inferior
Submitted by Anonymous on November 8th 2005.
Compared to the Cu Sidhe, a Reptalon is inferior in every way. The Cu Sidhe has better stats, better resists, better skills (Healing) and better special abilities. The Cu has 100 more max HP than the Rept has, if all resists were max on both, the Cu would still have 20 more total resist than Rept, the Rept has no healing, the Rept has firebreath and Paralyzing Roar, which firebreath's damage is dependant upon their HP and opponents fire resist and Paralyzing Roar is only good for one free shot. While the Cu's Bleed Attack does pure damage several times.

Pally Archer Tamer
Submitted by Anonymous on October 11th 2005.
not that hard with my setup to tame, just take his hits down with a dragon slayer bow and avoid getting hit by staying out of sight, and shooting him as he comes around the corner.
IMPORTANT: the damage they deal with their fireball goes down as their hits do, not so hard if he only does 5 hps with his fireball, just stay far enough away to avoid the claws.
Tarpon, Oceania

a question....
Submitted by Anonymous on October 9th 2005.
I've wasted enough of these, and even helped kill Rend enough times. But has anyone gotten a treasure map from either reptalons or Rend? It would be unfortunate such a strong dragon to have no map.

Speed

Please reduce the speed of these creatures... I have a bad ping and always die when it appears...
